I’ll do this bullet style like the last one heh. I don’t have any tags for this character bc I haven’t posted much about her... she does have a toyhouse tho

This is Samantha! She’s probably the oldest truly original OC I have (ie not a fan character for an existing series). 

I made her around middle school! Originally she was skinny but I made her larger for the sake of body diversity since I don’t have too many fat characters :’)

She’s an extra-dimensional journalist that travels around to write stories about the people that live there and the goings-on of that location, for the entertainment of those in her home dimension. She has a penchant for getting a little too wrapped up in the lives of those she’s supposed to be writing about...

Her story came about because I would draw her in matching outfits with other fan characters I had, so I imagined she just traveled around to those different universes. This is partially inspired by Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/CLAMP characters and how they’d be recycled for the different stories. I always liked the idea that you could travel around to different places and find familiar friends there

She has a stylist coworker friend that briefs her on the location and provides her with disguises/costumes before she sets off for a new world! I don’t have any drawings of her posted here but maybe I’ll talk about her some other time. She could use some reworking anyway bc she looks almost exactly like Rebecca Miyamoto from Pani Poni Dash

HE’S TRYING TO BE A GOOD BOY EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN’T COME EASILY TO HIM AND IT MAKES HIM A LITTLE LESS BROKEN INSIDE TO BE GOOD BECAUSE HE’S A GOOD. BOY. i love him a lot and i’m AWARE he’s done bad things but he needs a big hug and some help to not do bad things because he’s fucking trying so hard guys

yes, it would literally not happen without him

Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?

yes i can. it takes me specific effort to be a good person and i like that he’s not just... good, but it’s better for him to be good, so he tries to be good kind of for selfish reasons and not always very well

Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)

chuuya is the only one i can seriously see him with but honestly i’ve read smut for him and just about any other character

Is there anything about the character you would change?

i would trap him in a cocoon of blankets and hold him hostage until he learns to care for himself

If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her?

i would kidnap him and force him to be better to himself. i think i could probably do it because that motivation would be insanely bewildering to him and he would never see it coming

Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?

yes, i love dazai so fucking much

Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom?

i would definitely hype him up and then try to be fair and be like “well okay he’s kind of an antihero...” and then i would just fall back into hyping him up again because i’m weak

Is this character popular with the fanbase?

i think for the most part yes, though there’s a lot of people who think he’s much... uh... meaner than he actually is?? or just. idk. there’s a lot of wild dazai takes on the internet, that’s all i’m saying. i’ve blocked and unfollowed several people for them

Och god I’m so happy!!! I never felt like I was important in any fandom I participate in, I always just… be here and no-one really recognized me, no matter if I was creating original content or not.

That’s why I REALLY love VnC fandom, because we all love each other and we all are happy when there is anyone creating content (edits, coloring, icons, drawing, fanfic or headcanons), because there isn’t many of us. 

I’m slow drawer and I’m bad at drawing humans so I don’t post my drawings regulary, that’s why I started doing more icons, edits etc.

I discovered it through a Fullmetal Alchemist Crossover fanfiction (of all things I know lmao) and started reading the manga and fell in love. the anime came later.

That sounds pretty unique! I can’t really image a crossover between the two... Any good?

hey, that Harry Potter fic about Harry and Petunia you're thinking about - I may be off with this - but is it "An Aunt's Love" by Emma Lipardi on Fanfiction? It's incomplete but it's the first Harry and Petunia fic that jumps to mind, and it was published in 2004. idk if that's the one you're thinking of though

Thanks for trying, that’s the fic I always think it is when I go looking through ffn to find it, but the one I remember was pre-Harry-going-to-Hogwarts, and had the neighbours around Privet Drive as characters, with their views and gossip about how the Dursley’s treat Harry being the driving force that Petunia used to manipulate Vernon into them all treating Hary better, because otherwise they would be not viewed as a “normal” family or something....  It’s been such a long time since I’ve read it but the premise just stuck with me!

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction?

seventeen, i think. i don’t remember any longer if i started before getting introduced to the world of fandom because... we did not have the internet at this point in time, almost no one did, so i was mostly doing my own thing writing my own stories and i can’t remember if i ever wrote down any of my fan-related ones.

4) What is your favourite genre to write for?

urban fantasy! love this sense of “almost normal but not” like this could be OUR world so easily.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?

right now, grimmjow. he’s a violent bastard with a weird sense of honor and serious authority issues and also he comes with pre-installed xeno anatomy. >:D

22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?

probably “not a sasuhina” because now that i’m not a snarly teen anymore i don’t like being like “you’re shipping WRONG” at people and also i wasn’t clear on how much of sasuke’s words was “sasuke is just generally a tactless jerk” and how much was authorial bleed-through and it came across as looking down on hinata when what i felt was mostly HINATA DOES NOT DESERVE THAT (XD), but at the same time i refuse to take it down because it was what i felt like at the time and i have a personal policy that i’m never gonna take any story down ever. y’all can roast me about my hiei/kurama birthday fic where hiei adopts a baby kitsune and wears overalls when i’m seventy year old, i’m good with it.

39) Do you prefer first, second or third person?

third, i find it more versatile. i like second more than first tho, second is weirder and more interesting and it grips me harder than first even though first is supposed to be the primary “the reader is supposed to feel like the pov character”. i find that if i don’t identify with the pov character then the first person will just rub me wrong. like who’s that “i”. not me. pass. it also often sounds like someone boasting about their life or writing their diary even when not intended, and that’s a fairly limiting feel. it works in some contexts but... BUT.
