aaaand it’s over!! …i.e., I am finally done going through battles over 350 ships from the ship sorter thingy that Astrid lysaacs was having me do a test-run of for her, and… ffs, this thing took me long enough to do, I’m totally posting a full list of them because I can and I feel like it and it’s nice to have around.

nb: the twrpe rules allow for any type of relationship to be requested — romo, sexual, romosexual, platonic, familial, queerplatonic, pack-bond, any and all the relationship types — so the ships herein are not necessarily romo-sexual, but i also don’t have the patience to go through and specify how i like all of them.

if it’s parental incest, I can guarantee you that it’s a ship I like EXCLUSIVELY in a a familial way and this is also true of most adult/teen ships (at least those that involve adults other than: Braeden, Camden, Derek, Laura, and Parrish). and all of the exceptions to that statement are definitely somewhere on my ships page

also, Astrid made the sorter with the lists of requested ships from rounds two and three of the rarepair exchange, which means that the end results don’t have S*terek, Skittles, or S*tydia in them.

“While My Guitar Gently Weeps” (The Beatles): C e d r i c * D i g g o r y. with a side of Cedric/Cho/Harry (also Cedric/Harry and Cedric/Cho), Cedric/Fleur/Viktor, and Cedric/Zacharias. and oh yeah did I mention Cedric Diggory he’s important.

“Point of No Return/Down Once More” (Phantom of the Opera; original Canadian cast): …this one’s kind of cheating; I put it on a Peter/Stiles mix once and that’s still the place I go to first but I could also see it working for Nogitsune/Stiles (just… Nogitsustiles doesn’t really get on well with Andrew Lloyd Webber in my head? like, their sound is more…… Nine Inch Nails, Judas Priest, pretty much any of the darker songs that they’d play at a Hot Topic, Siouxsie and the Banshees; basically, they’re dark and gritty while Steter’s musical feel for me is dark and foreboding and melodramatic).

“Wicked Little Town” (John Cameron Mitchell; Hedwig and the Angry Inch): …………I used to be a theatre kid okay I have a lot of musical theatre stuff on my ipod. and… I’m torn on this one because I put it on a Scisaac mix once and definitely still go there, but I also like it for Camsaac, Draeden, Camden/Scott, Allira, and Kira/Scott. oh, and a few Hunger Games ships: Annie/Finnick/Johanna/Katniss (and all of the sub-ships here), Annie/Mrs Everdeen, Finnick/Peeta (and Finnick/Katniss/Peeta, but it’s not really working for Everlark or Everdair for me here, sadly).

“Holiday” (Green Day): …Cam/Derek, and Braeden/Cam/Derek, and um. all I have to say for myself is that, as soon as I realized that Cam and Derek would’ve been in high school when American Idiot first came out, I started making up headcanons about the pair of them (plus or minus various members of the swim team and Paige, because she’s not dead because fuck Jeff Davis, that’s why) and Green Day and sneaking off to a Green Day concert and uh.this isn’t actually related to the song anymore but… Cam, Derek, the swim team, and Paige were all also in high school when the “scene look” was the big thing (and if we estimate that Braeden is about the same age, then so was she) and I submit for your consideration: actual scene kid Derek Hale. (ﾉ▰˘∀˘▰)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Y: What are your secondhand fandoms (fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)

uh, the MCU, which I keep intending to get around to eventually but tbh, at this point, I really like my secondhand version of it where CA:TWS is all gonna be this cute OT3 romcom with Sam, Steve, and Natasha, but then OH NO, Bucky shows up and he’s been brainwashed by super-Nazis and THERE IS SADNESS. THERE ARE FEELS. ALL OF THE FEELINGS.

……and then something or other happens and we transition into a happy (more or less) superhero ot4 and they adopt two kitties, a puppy, three ferrets, two guinea pigs, and a monitor lizard. also Bucky has a robotic arm and there are disability feels going on or something along with some trenchant sociopolitical commentary about USAmerican imperialism, and Steve is bisexual and this is very very very very important and the fandom is going to insist on how Steve is bi until Marvel caves in and goes, “fine whatever he’s bi now.”

aside from that…… pretty much every anime that’s ever on my dash that isn’t Sailor Moon, NGE, Madoka Magica, Utena, or the various CLAMP series. this usually tends to mean something called “Free,” which I very definitely remember originally just being called, “Swimming Anime” and I don’t have the first clue about what is going on with it aside from pretty anime boys swimming

but I do know that there is a character named Makoto and he is endlessly frustrating for me because every. single. freaking. time. a post about him shows up on my dash, I stop and read it and then go “wait what” because uh… “Makoto,” to me? is Sailor Jupiter. so I’m over here, thinking that I’m going to get a post about my badass floral lightning princess… and then it is actually about some anime boy who swims apparently or something

every. single. freaking. time. you would think that I’d learn eventually but sadly, I’m not actually that smart, so here we are, oops D:

It seemed to take Sirius an age to fall. His body curved in a graceful arc as he sank backward into Lupin’s arms, and reached one hand up to stroke his cheek. He heaved a sigh and muttered something inaudible that made Lupin roll his eyes and fail to suppress a fond smirk. Mouth agape, entirely unsure of what he was seeing, Harry blinked at the display before him, as did Bellatrix, who was no doubt deeply confused as to how she had gotten the trajectory of her curse to terribly wrong. She’d meant for Sirius to go through the veil on the dais — Harry could see that now, and perhaps the veil itself did as well. Its curtains rustled with an impatient air, as though the veil had been deprived of something it considered to be its by right, and as silence fell all around the battle, Harry could’ve sworn that he heard the veil huff. Not that this particularly helped to explain the scene now playing out as Lupin jerked Sirius upright and back onto his own feet. The arm wrapped around Sirius’s waist seemed firm, even as Lupin balled his hand up in Sirius’s robes, as though this might stop him from shaking so thoroughly (it did no such thing). Even as every other duel fell into an awed and quiet stillness, Sirius and Lupin didn’t take their eyes off of each other. Several gaping Death Eaters took Stunning Spells to their chests and hit the floor with dull thuds. While Moody stayed still and squinting at Sirius and Lupin curiously, Tonks and Kingsley took to restraining the lot of them, grumbling between themselves about all the paperwork they’d be doing after this. The only one who didn’t get taken down was Bellatrix, who casually blocked or side-stepped every spell thrown her way, shrieking obscenities at those who dared to challenge her — as well as at her, “filthy, beast-loving Blood Traitor cousin, perpetual stain of disgrace upon our noble House.” But none of it made any difference, not to Lupin and not to Sirius. All the room seemed lost to both of them: Sirius only looked into Lupin’s eyes and, although smiling, Lupin looked as though he might cry, looking back into Sirius’s. “Nice save there, Moony,” Sirius said with a relieved, breathless sigh, loudly enough to be heard by all as he finally wrapped his arms around Lupin’s skinny shoulders and held on as though letting go would kill him in and of itself. “I’ve already lost you once, Sirius.” Lupin huffed and leaned in to nudge his forehead into Sirius’s. “And once was more than quite enough for one lifetime, or even ten.” Next thing Harry knew, Sirius shoved Lupin downward by the back of his neck, and gasped in a deep breath before throwing both of them headlong into the deepest kiss Harry had ever seen in his entire life thus far.
