Do you think this tank is too small?

in my head 3 1/2 gallons is alot and i cant find any 4-5 gallon ones that i like.. ive read a few things that say 3 gallons is ok so long as there arent more then like.. 3 or 4 shrimp or something and i only want one shrimp and one snail. but my resources could be wrong. opinions? (most sites say either 1 gallon..way too small.. or 10 gallons! wayyyy too big.. and some people are saying 3-5 gallons is just fine.)

For me, rather than proclaiming that 'I know nothing' I'm happier to stick with saying that 'I don't feel as if I can know whether or not I know anything.' If I were to be proven definitively 'right' on anything then I may as a result develop the powers of a God, which could be a right treat/a massive burden. But I don't live in fear of it happening. I'll just keep on learning about things in vain.

I can't afford to go back to college, so I figured I'd keep learning my own way. If you can't make the best out of a shitty situation, then you're just going to rolling around in that crap, probably hating yourself for not trying to clean it up before you got the point where you don't even know where to start. Because no first post is complete without talking about shit.
