Just finished The East Palace. Mixed emotions about this show. Some great visuals, some fantastic acting, really love the understated relationship of the two MCs, but also the story felt almost nonsensical at times and I honestly lost track of who killed whom when and for what reason. Also why is everyone an asshole and why is no one punished for their crimes?

Sadly some props and some masks looked weirdly cheap compared to everything else (that well gwi-ma! The skeleton sword! Argh)

Banger soundtrack tho. Especially „Inevitable Cooperation“, that gives me The Hu vibes and is going straight onto my current playlist.

My favorite Korean horror comic on naver webtoon got a translation for the English version of the app.

Is it dark romance if you’re reading for the Korean ghost story and inescapable curse wrought by a group of witless teens? Like there’s romance in it and it’s cool n all, but the 7 foot tall shadow monster with teeth and a grudge is a pretty compelling story on its own.

…I got to stop rooting for protags that could kill/eat me. If I had a nickel for every time it’d be like ten bucks by now.

So anyway The Classmate is on webtoon now.
