Hii, i really like your content. I have a req. Can you do the phantom troupe including illumi and hisoka x reader who is a REALLY messy sleeper.

Like really messy, sometimes they activate there nen in there sleep, they even sometimes sleep walk. they can never stay still, always ending up on a complete different side of the bed or sprawled across on them. they are a big cuddler, often times either hugs a pillow tightly or them. kinda like how Naruto sleeps.

Chrollo

He tries to be unbothered. He really tries.

You wake up wrapped around him like a vine, arm under his shirt, leg over his hip, and your Nen has accidentally summoned like… some sort of ability.

Chrollo simply resumes stroking your hair like nothing happened.

Secretly finds your sleep-hugging adorable but would never say it. Keeps his arm around you protectively all night.

If you sleepwalk, he will calmly follow behind you like a babysitter. 

Pakunoda

You slap her with a pillow in your sleep once and she just lies there with a hand over her eye like 😑.

She sleeps pretty light, so the first time you clung to her like a body pillow, she was stiff as hell- completely unused to being cuddled.

After a few nights though, she starts letting you wrap around her. She never asks for it, but she’ll rub your back gently when you latch onto her.

She’s absolutely fascinated by your unconscious use of Nen.

Nobunaga

You're flailing, kicking, and talking in your sleep while he’s trying to nap and he just sighs so loud like: “THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”

You end up curled on top of him one night, drooling on his chest and muttering about pasta, and he lowkey melts a little.

He starts to get used to your chaos. “Tch…damn brat,” he mutters as he tucks a blanket over you and pats your head.

Will 100% tease you about it the next day in front of everyone. “She fights in her sleep harder than half you bastards do awake.”

Machi

Wakes up tangled in her own threads because your Nen activated mid-dream and she had to thread you down to the bed to keep you from flipping off the mattress.

Acts pissed. She's always acting pissed.

But she always ends up being the big spoon anyway because she knows you settle down when you’re being held.

Will knock you out with acupuncture points if you’re sleepwalking too far. Not malicious- just efficient.

Quietly likes how much you cling to her. Won’t say it out loud, but her fingers always stay curled around your sleeve while you sleep.

Shizuku

She sleeps like a corpse, so when you roll over and wrap around her like a heating pad, she doesn’t even move.

It’s actually kind of perfect. You wiggle around like crazy, but once you latch onto her, you stop.

Sometimes she wakes up with you full-body draped over her, snoring into her neck, and just blinks like “oh…okay.”

One time your Nen activated and destroyed a lamp across the room in your sleep and she didn’t even flinch. She just pulled the blanket over your head like “cozy time.”

Bonolenov

You accidentally elbow him in the chest and he just reverberates with a hollow “bong.”

You keep ending up tangled in his wrappings and muttering apologies.

He thinks you're fascinating. A human with chaotic, instinctual Nen? That’s beautiful to him.

He sleeps like a statue, but he’ll gently adjust your position if you look uncomfortable or are about to fall off the bed.

If you hug him, he holds you close and hums lowly. The sound calms you down- even mid-sleep.

Franklin

This man is a fortress. You roll into him mid-sleep and bounce off like a sack of potatoes.

If you somehow manage to crawl on top of him, he’ll just lay there and go back to sleep with a faint “mm.”

Your chaos does not faze him. You’re yelling in your sleep, gripping his arm like a lifeline, and he’s just snoring away.

He likes it though. It’s rare for him to be someone’s comfort object, and you make him feel safe in a weird way.

Kortopi

This poor creature is NOT used to sharing a bed.

The first time your Nen lashes out in your sleep he has a panic attack.

But you clutch him like a teddy bear and mutter something about his fluffy hair, and he just malfunctions like: “...ok 🧍‍♂️”

Eventually, he creates a copy of a pot or something to switch out with when he needs to go sleep in peace, but he always comes back to you in the morning.

Feitan

This little demon child kicks back if you hit him in your sleep. It becomes a nightly war zone.

“Tch. Move… again and I’ll cut your toes off.” (He will not. He lets you curl up beside him every night.)

One time you sleepwalk into his torture tools and he physically carries you back like a grumpy cat.

Secretly adores how warm you are. When you cling to him tightly, mumbling nonsense into his hoodie, he pulls you in tighter under the covers and watches you sleep with unsettling fondness.

Phinks

Gets mad every time you elbow him in the ribs, but still shows up to bed like clockwork.

“Sleep on your damn side- HEY! STOP MOVING!”

Deep down he finds your neediness cute. He starts sleeping with an arm already waiting so you can snuggle against his side.

He’ll grumble about it in front of the others, but if you stop cuddling him, he’s sulky and weird the whole next day.

Uvogin

You body slammed this man in your sleep and he thought it was hilarious.

“HAHAHA you’re like a little gremlin!” he says while holding you in a death grip so you don’t fall off again.

You flail all night and he just lies there like a brick wall. You can’t phase him.

You drool on his chest and he acts like he’s grossed out, but in reality he lets you use his arm as a pillow every night.

Shalnark

Thinks it’s the funniest, cutest thing ever.

“You almost punched me in the face last night- do you remember what you were dreaming about?”

Starts installing little gadgets around the room to track your sleep movements because he’s genuinely curious.

Loves when you wrap around him like a little baby koala. He starts sleeping shirtless so you’ll cling even tighter.

Sleep-talking? He records it and plays it back for fun, especially if you say something about loving him.

Illumi

Is genuinely baffled by your behavior. “Why are you not unconscious and still?” he asks while poking your cheek.

Tries to pin you down with needles once. You fling him across the room in your sleep.

He’s intrigued. He starts studying your sleep-Nen with clinical curiosity but eventually gets weirdly possessive over being your cuddle buddy.

You cling to him like a security blanket, and it makes his heartbeat flutter in a way he doesn’t understand. He likes it.

Hisoka

This man is horny about it. You cling to him in your sleep? He’s making the dirtiest comments in the morning.

“Mm, such a needy little thing, even while dreaming~ What exactly were you dreaming about, my dear?”

If your Nen lashes out, he’ll just giggle like it’s a fun game. You accidentally sock him in the jaw? He licks the blood and says, “Encore.”

LOVES that you cuddle him. He wraps himself around you like a spider, legs and arms everywhere. You can’t escape.

Sleeps like a weirdo octopus but it somehow calms your own chaotic sleep.

“can ya write about their reactions when y/n is a member of the troupe where she's just rude. Like beyond necessary. And she's naturally colder than ice, both physical and emotionally (physically she's not bothered, like its only possible to notice that if they touch her -accidentally in a mission). After years and years of knowing the troupe, she might start warming up in her own way, like using their clothes, shampoo, cologne, their stuff in general. Ofc after all that time together they might start having feelings for her, like, *ahem*!?”

Illumi:

so honestly i feel like illumi doesn’t care much abt appearances, i mean no offense but look at his fashion sense..needless to say hisoka has clearly influenced his..😭 but still?? pins in your clothes? i mean i guess it’s for convenience of his nen…i can’t tho 😭😭 POINT IS he’s no one to judge even if he doesn’t like your fashion style. so something as classic as a red robe is something he surely won’t have a problem with. why would he? as long as your performance doesn’t go down because of it or something, so what? that’s pretty much all the troupe’s opinion tbh 🤷‍♀️

a cold person you say? sounds familiar to illumi! real familiar…(this guys whole family is paid murderers) no hesitation to end lives?? hisoka got competition on that prenup….🤣🤣 not actually, but it’s funny isn’t it?? 😂 😂😂 no seriously your character is just as twisted and evil as him really. i’d be shocked if you don’t join him and hisoka to make a trio when you warm up to the troupe. and your habit of not announcing yourself doesn’t go unnoticed, but he doesn’t need to say anything since he’s very observant. essentially im saying, you don’t need to say anything for him to notice. especially since change in the air pressure when you walk in is telling, and he certainly takes note of it. rarely speaking besides insults doesn’t bother him much either. actually not at all! illumi truly has his priorities straight, insults have quite literally never hurt him and being quiet and eerie sort of runs in the family sooo.. 😗😙

being ignorant and disrespectful isn’t a deal breaker in the slightest, a sensitive assassin just sounds like an insult in itself to him. clearly one would need more training if they bruise from mere words. leaving mid sentence during boring conversations is actually quite reasonable to him. why waste what could be used to create a valuable plan or put action to plans? if there’s anything you can infer about him it’s when things don’t go to his plan, he is a manipulator after all, of course he wants control. and there’s no room for fruitless babbling in said plan. it’s good that you don’t discriminate who you kill no matter they’re looks, morals or powers. i mean, by his moral code anyway. that’s how he decides where to place you by the way. and for the record, you’re way above most! (but again i don’t think that matters to you, you cold hearted son of a freak 😂😂🩷)

being masculine doesn’t much matter to him. gender doesn’t affect things in his eyes, efficiency does. and being a silent killer is certainly most efficient! im serious, you could be a potential marriage candidate for him if you were ever interested!

hate at first sight is something he’s not against. he typically ignores anyone who’s not important to him, kills anyone in his way and only has the basic conversations needed with those he seems to actually matter. it’s just funny to me how his entire perspective of how he views you is based off whether he cares about that thing or not. which i guess is how people are, but it’s just really prominent with illumi, so the fact that your passing his standards with flying colors is hilarious 😂😂🤣

for the record illumi doesn’t mind your glaring either. he’ll notice it but won’t question. it doesn’t surprise him seeing as though your entire demeanor is based off being the entirety of the human race’s biggest hater. 😊(😭😂🤣) oh and neither does using a voice changer either. i say that because i feel like he can tell. it just feels like he would have an inkling that you do. if ya arch my drift 🤷‍♀️🤪

illumi joins pretty late in the game so you not showing up besides when chrollo calls you really doesn’t affect him. plus that really applies for all the members right? none of them have to come if they don’t wanna, they just do out of loyalty.

even if you’re uncooperative for missions illumi really doesn’t care abt the phantom troupe’s agenda, so it doesn’t matter to him much. esp since he’s literally just there for his agreement with hisoka, but if it affects his situation in the moment he would just take over and handle it himself. not that, that would get you on his good side since illumi seems like the type to have an intolerance for incompetence/incapable people (which is hilarious because you’re far from that), not that you care anyway 🤗 so..i guess it’s not a horrible situation??

oh yeah! and as far as you being physically cold at most if he’s starting to see you as a potential partner in marriage to strengthen the family, he’d be concerned if it’s due to sickness or not. (wait til bro finds out your backstory 😭😭)

at first he, like everyone else thought you were a conjurer. since in fights you spawn your huge nen scythes. as powerful as you were he sees no qualms with that abilities. and he quite favors attack type abilities if i do say so myself with my own opinion.

but when he finds out your real nen type is not only his own, manipulator, but also insanely powerful, thats probably what sealed the deal to marry you he becomes greatly intrigued, having great affinity interest in powerful people, and powerful people only.

“White Noise” a transparent white nen screen that appears around you when you activates your ability. it hacks minds, controls nervous systems, distorts facts & realities, controls line of thoughts, steals nen types, hatsus’ & abilities, can make you forget a truth & believe a lie, searches in web (internet) & in minds. searches in minds of dead people. great computer skills, etc. with hacking is x1,000 better than shalnarks. it can help a LOT in interrogations, even if you prefer not to use it, enjoying the slow method, finding it more efficient. even though white noise is a powerful hatsu, you rarely use it as it’s a waste of energy and spends a lot of nen. plus it makes stuff too easy, so you mostly use other abilities n skills. now THAT is a nen ability he can get behind and definitely wants in his family! if you were to when you get together (he’s plotting it atp. like actually) he’s 100% gonna try and convince you to use your ability more and suggest (the rigorous and genuinely torturous 😃) zoldyck training to enhance your nen capacity 😉👍 (blink twice if you need help. once? i’ll check in after the wedding…)

when he realizes you’re warming up to the troupe he doesn’t do anything about it. he again, doesn’t care for them. warming up to him though, you’re relationship might start to look like his and hisoka’s. that friendship benefit like relationship. (bc illumi “has no friends” ☝️🤓) (yeah right boi)

so i mean seeing as though these hcs have basically been a checklist for why he’ll marry you now, he’s probably one of the easiest to get with! (in your specific case 🗿) now if he has actual romantic emotional feelings that’s a whole different situation. you’ll literally never get him to admit it and he won’t ever cater to them. he doesn’t even know how to process them and won’t for the life of him. (like literally, as in bc of his lifestyle/upbringing 🤣🤣 [😃😅]) happy marriage though! you’re literally made for each other so i’m sure you’ll have a beautiful relationship <33 (as murderous and emotionally stagnant as it is ☺️)

Shizuku:

shizuku’s turn!! (you have no idea i wrote sm for illumi 😭 i adore how his turned out tho so worth itttt 🤪😜) as a girl who just swears a black turtle neck and some jeans i think she’s pretty okay with how you look! even if ominous. as a troupe member she’s not intimidated by basically anything. she’s the threat in the first place how could she be 😂 she’d find you mysterious though! thats for sure :) she’d definitely be curious about you, ironic i know since she’s likely to forget if your new. of course she’ll ask anyway! (more than once, until she remembers 😭)

weirdly enough your cold personality n habits only intrigue shizuku further. she does wonder what drove you to be this way. don’t get me wrong she’s used to people being jerks, heartless, etc. she’s a cold blooded killer herself! even though they call themselves thieves instead 🤣 but still! she’s already know the rest of the members for a minute now, so you being new she’s puzzled with your demeanor. especially with that fact that you refuse to speak outside of insults 😭😂😂 the first time she heard your voice only grabbed her attention even more. for it to sound so cold and lifeless, robotic. just like you! it’s ironic to her, and very fitting. im on the fence on whether she would know it’s a voice changer or not. she would either know right away through personally knowledge or possible figure out through shal since he’s good with tech and would surely know it the second he hears it. or she would have no idea and just think your voice truly matches you 🤣🤣 most the times you open your mouth for once it’s literally an insult, she doesn’t pay much attention to it in the moment but she does note that you don’t seem to plan on contributing to planning or discussions whatsoever. 🤭😂😂

announcing your presence with a change in air pressure (even if unintentionally) is something she definitely acknowledges and is fascinated by. she’ll even ask “how did you do that?” to which you most likely either ignore her existence or reply with an insult :) “of course a feeble minded nit wit like you wouldn’t know.” (POOR SHIZUKU 😭😭)

being masculine or feminine doesn’t change her opinion of you. regardless of whether you act like the daintiest damsel or the manliest macho man (LOL 😂😂) you’re still gonna be one thing for certain—cruel. so what if you act like a dude, it’s not like anyone can really tell what gender you are under that cloak of yours, and your voice is so robotic it couldn’t possibly be your real one. you are the definition of mystery and your gender isn’t the first one she’s trying to solve (spoiler she’s more interested in what made you so heartless your every word is an insult 🗿)

hating people at first sight sounds kinda wild to her. really just because she always keeps a straight face to basically everything, implying she doesn’t take a lot personally, is an observer and thinks rationally. she’d rather focus on troupe missions, and whether that person is actually getting in the way of what she needs to do than personal matters of whether she likes someone for their morals and whatnot. she doesn’t really care that you do it, though. (it’s so freeing that the troupe doesn’t judge by your looks, power or personality like it’s high key so cute 🙏💌)

glaring at everyone including her doesn’t ruffle shizuku in the slightest. (ngl y’all are polar opposites w that one. your always squinting your eyes to glare at people and she has ginormous big eyes like this

⚫️👄⚫️) 😂😂😂 I CRACK MYSELF UP. the only way she’d say smth abt it is if it could actually possibly pertain to the topic, like if shizuku forgets to mention an important part of them mission and you glare at her in that context. she’ll go “what?” and you’ll most likely roll your eyes and quip about her memory before giving a short explanation of what she left out. (writing that just made me ship you and shizu so much-)

the fact that you only show up when chrollo asks you to doesn’t go unnoticed either. shizuku is pretty observant now that i think about it, she just forgets 😭 she’s loyal to the troupe, and wonders your motives for joining if you’re seemingly not actually interested. the only thing she would find about you more of a pain would be if you are uncooperative for missions. not that bugs her since in her eyes everyone in the troupe does their part. so you’d be taking up space (along with hisoka) by simply doing nothing. she doesn’t get actually angry about it. it’s just one of those “you could’ve done smth” moments. esp since your distance, not purposefully annoying (much like, again, hisoka)

when she finds out you’re physically cold one way or another, she most definitely comments on it this time, instead of quietly observing. “oh! you’re cold!” (yeah i think so, shizuku 😭🤦‍♀️💗) “did you get stuck in a fridge or something? why are you so cold” (her and her questions 🫶) “is that why you wear that cloak? to keep warm?” “so does that mean your whole body is cold all the time? doesn’t it bother you?” (I LOVE HER 💕)

she watched closely when she first got to see you fight. assuming you were a conjurer that has scythes for a weapon. and tbh, although you were strong, she thought your fighting style was…not necessarily basic, but normal. yk? cuz scythes are cool don’t get me wrong, but the PT members abilities are just so unique i guess she’s kind of used to more flashy abilities. and sees nothing special of yours, no offense. oh how wrong she is..🤗

when she sees your REAL nen type used against a powerful enemy, things totally switch up. now she knows your true power and clearly, your true stats. which is obviously among the stronger troupe members. and it’s really not even physically, just because of how versatile, technical and complex it is! very flexible and useful, generally overpowered. most likely able to counter most nen types, a rare circumstance! she’d even question if your a specialist and not a manipulator (kinda like kurapika, even tho she doesn’t know that i’m talking to you guys LOL. but yk cuz like all the experiments you went through in that lab as a kid, i wouldn’t doubt if they made you like that somehow, sheesh don’t ask me how)

when you warm up to the troupe she’s surprisingly relieved. well, not really relieved so much as she’s glad you won’t be so stubborn, i’ll say. she wasn’t ever worried in the first place, she doesn’t care. but she’d much rather work well with someone than not, keeps things running smoothly in the troupe. and hisoka is doing a fantastic job stalling that, so they don’t need any more of it. 🤣🤣 she finds it endearing how you now wear their clothes and play games with them, especially playing games, since that’s the troupe’s main pass time. and it’s always fun with more players! she really isn’t the type to care if she loses or not (because she doesn’t often win if not for luck- DARN GENIUSES-) so if your smart/really good and keep beating her, she’ll just keep on playing til she wins! or it’s time to initiate the mission :P she doesn’t brag about winning either, just restarts the game. (she won’t wanna play with you much more if you though, which i doubt since you hardly speak 🗿☺️) she’d also wonder if the reason you started wearing the other members clothes is because yours isn’t warm enough 🗿😭 (even more so if you wear franklin’s or uvogin’s since they’d [most likely] be huge on you) which, this question obviously comes from the time she figured out you’re ice freezing cold 😂

shizuku isn’t likely to realize she has a crush on you. it’s most likely franklin or possible machi that points it out. franklin because he’s around you too the most (if you hang out with shizuku often) and just happens to notice it. and machi because shizuku often talks and asks questions about you. which i think she’d do with every new member, but she has yet to stop asking about you, and machi has a hunch..😏😉🤭

Bonolenov:

okay now i’m ngl if anything he might think your fit is clean. if not then he’ll probably think its traditional wear where you’re from. or simply preference. esp since phinks wears an Egyptian outfit (which idk if it’s confirmed his egyptian tho so don’t quote me) so there are obv other possible members who have certain cultural backgrounds. no matter how he views your appearance he certainly isn’t going to judge it. it’s not like it matters anyway, everyone in the troupe is either weird, flashy or normal. as long as you can still got your hands to steal and are loyal 🤷‍♀️ all that matters

as far as your cold personality i don’t think he would too much comment on that if anything he’d just think “that’s just how they are 🤷” i don’t recall him commenting on much that didn’t matter in the anime. like he would only contribute parts to a conversation that mattered yk? which that’s pretty much all the troupe to a certain degree in serious situations (ahem phinks get in line- 🤣🤣). hardly speaking outside of insults is new though (like yk no one else in the troupe does that). if you just joined he’d think it’s weird for you to willingly join and do nothing but insult instead of helping come up with solutions. or even just interacting with anyone normally. there’s nothing he can do and he’s not about to start an argument with someone who’s fluent in insults. so i doubt he even talks to you for a while 🗿 after you say your remark he just adds another point to the conversation, moving on 😭😭

oh the ignorant and disrespectful you. doing it to other members is kind of just a “looks like they don’t get along” (well yes except it’s with literal everyone 🤣) and if you act this way to him his reaction is “so it looks like they don’t like me either. big surprise” 😂😂 he probably figures out you don’t like him much in the first place by leaving while he was mid sentence. he doesn’t find much point in speaking to you after that if you’re just gonna leave anyway. he’ll talk to the other members or stay silent if it’s just your two on a mission. he’s not the type of guy that just needs noise or ambience/conversation anyway. as for your undiscriminated killing. good! if you were anything less than that…no offense (or maybe all since your always insulting him 😑) but the troupe wouldn’t need you! you’d be said noise that he doesn’t need as i mention earlier (😬) but hey! at least that’s not the case! 🤗😜

your deep emotionlessly robotic voice did initially come as a surprise to him. buuuut eventually he got over it. and by eventually i mean he started expecting it every time you spoke. which i mean isn’t often anyway 🤷‍♀️ :P but yeah since he knows it’s deep now he cares about that just about as much as your appearance. which is not at all 😄👍

being masculine makes sense to him since i mean, to them they only know about your guy form so..🤷‍♀️ which i didn’t realize while writing for illumi LOL but hey uhh shh 🤫 NOW in the case that they’re unaware of your gender or SMTH IDK- i don’t think he would care anyway….🧍 um so idk what to write this do is lowk nonchalant level 8 he hardly cares bro 😭😂😂 moving on…

hate at first sight is a strange concept to him. he could never waste his time of day hating someone immediately. like if that were to ever occur for him, he’d just never bother to even breathe that person’s air. like he would just not associate with him. which is what he does to you anyway, bc he doesn’t hate you but clearly you have a problem with him (and like, all the rest of the troupe members) so he just lets you do what you do in your own lane 🗿🗿 (everyone is wondering why you’re here ☺️)

again, any type of negative feelings or reaction you have with him is NOT reciprocated so glaring at him is just kind of pointless and awkward?? that’s not really the right word but if you were looking to offend him with that you’d probably just be met with a blank stare. behind bandages. (😂)

your refusal to announce yourself didn’t change anything after he figured out you can’t stand literally anyone because even if you did he’d only briefly glance at you on the rare occasion you have smth to say that’s not an insult.

thus announcing your presence (even if unintentional) with a change of air pressure the first time would be intriguing to him. he’d be slightly curious to see if pressure or smth to that affect has smth to do with your nen ability. but after the initial shock he’d just figure out when you’ve arrived at base by said pressure.

speaking of which the fact that you only appear in the base when chrollo calls you doesn’t bother him either. in his pov you don’t do much else besides fight so yeah, makes sense for someone who makes it a point to show they don’t want to be there at every turn. it’s probably better that way. troupe fights aren’t allowed and there’s some pretty hot headed members that might start one between you too one day. so don’t take it personally but the less often you’re there the better. 😄

now if uncooperative for missions he’s just gonna view you as place holder spider. he has absolutely no idea how chrollo hasn’t kicked you out yet but as long as you don’t get in his way he has no qualms with doing all the fighting himself. he’s plenty capable and doesn’t need back up. but listen if you get caught in that one whistle attack (smth abt jupiter i think it’s called) that’s on you buddy. YOU’RE the one who didn’t wanna help. he has to do this by himself and YOUR in the way. you either run or hope you got enough durability to be fine afterwards. it’s up to you, but he’s about to spin now. 🌀🌀 (😂😂)

(i love how throughout all this i was giving my opinions of all the members fits LOL might write hcs of me ranking their first based off what i’d change abt them) OKAY ANYWAYYYY he actually finds your cloak pretty 🔥 his emo ahh would 🗿 it’s not in the kiddie sense where’s he’s like “WOAH THEIR SO COOL 🤩” or smth he kinda just has the opinion but moves on yk? the troupe got bigger fish to fry than how much aura they’re farming from their outfits (even though they farm anyway 😂)

okok now to that personality of yours. quite the character. but he seems to have an affinity for evil people seeing as though he started a whole g ang full of them. im playing i know his backstory and what the troupe was started for n stuff. but you certainly can’t join if your a wimp. so as long as you can back up all that talk you fit riiiiight in! the first time the air pressure changes in your presence he’s curious, not expecting it to be because of someone’s presence but an enemy nen attack or something. he stays calm and looks around, when he spots you though, he can immediately tell whatever’s happening is because of you. purely from instinct. he’s curious as to why this happens now that he knows the source. he wonders if it’s maybe a nen ability? but why would you walk around with it on? what type of nen do you have? he never asks these questions but they linger in mind as you go on to stay with the troupe.

a deep robotic voice, one that’s emotionless at that. well it’s new but it doesn’t change anything. it kinda fits for your look tbh. it’s not like you can change it anyway (LOL THE IRONY SINCE YOU USE A VOICE CHANGER-). he pretty much just leaves it alone 😄🤷‍♀️ he does wonder if your hiding robotic parts under that cloak of yours though. it would make sense as to why you’re so rude, who programmed you to be so rude? nobody knows. if it wasn’t built into your system he’d assume you broke out after killing your creators and is angry because you were a creation. (which is weird because he’s a little off but not too far from the truth.

you being masculine seems quite normal to him seeing as though he’s literally just assumed your whole backstory and species without asking (which i personally find hilarious bc he’s genuinely convinced without even confirming anything.) so regardless of gender (that he would just immediately move on from anyway like it doesn’t matter whether your a woman or man really) your masculine nature is something he also assumes was programmed into you. matter of fact he thinks you were a robot made to kill or be some sort of assassin 😂😅

hate at first sight is something that truly confuses him because y’all literally hardly if at all ever talk. so why you hate him he doesn’t know. in the case that it’s him specifically/personally anyway. if he observes you hate everyone then he doesn’t have a problem or care. or even if you do have something out for him he really doesn’t care because it’s one sided, no matter how much you hate him he’s never gonna hate you back because he doesn’t really act like you exist. kinda just “the member that chrollo let in”. cuz if not for your combat prowess and to fill the void of whichever number you are, why are you here? as their daily dosage of negativity?? 😂😂

glaring at him is just irony. because he’s gonna look back at you through his one big round eye and just stare back. you glare? he stares. 🗿🫶 (😂) i men’s i’m pretty sure he has another eye but from your pic it’s just one. he isn’t bothered by your glaring either bc it’s better than insults. “at least their quiet” ahh kortopi 🤣

only appearing in the base when chrollo calls you, once again, seems like best case scenario. mostly, again, because your the insultobot 3000 (that’s what he assumes your model name was in the lab, if not killbot6000 🗿😂). he really isn’t all that bothered by your presence, it’s not that hard to pay no mind to your glaring and move on from your insults if your not a hot headed person, and he’s surely not sooo 🤷‍♀️

if you’re uncooperative on missions kortopi really isn’t gonna do anything abt it. he’s not a fighting savy nen user and he just doesn’t seem like the type to care as much when his job is the technical stuff, the behind the curtains stuff. the stuff that’s oddly specific but helpful. versus if he too was on the front lines i could see him getting upset. but you probably aren’t even in the same area on missions because he’s making a copy of whatever the troupe is stealing this time while you’re killing the guards outside. sooo 🤷‍♀️ he rlly don’t care. also doesn’t know why you even joined only to insult and not help (in the case that you don’t) but does he care? no.

ngl when he finds out you’re physically cold i wouldn’t doubt if he’s cold himself too. like he and feitan seem like they would too have freezing cold temps. or at least hands for feitan. kortopi might be cold all over like you. he’s small so it makes sense 😭 (😂) it seems plausible for him to simply not notice your cold too because of how cold he is. he might tho since when he touches people he’s used to them feeling warm to him (aka normal temperature 😭) but when he felt you, you felt like normal! (for him 😭 [🗿] ) which obviously means your just as cold as him! cool? he himself doesn’t know why he’s cold so he doesn’t question why you are either.

oh so your nen is also combat based? good! now you won’t be bothering him while he does his job! he can make copies of whatever y’all stealing peacefully 😜 if you’re teamed up tg it’s still not so bad bc typically you’ll be too focused on killing whoever is in the way to mess with him. i could see you getting done with killing and coming over to him, insulting him for going too slow or not being done by the time you are tho. which is pretty funny and ironic 🤭

when he found out your real nen type he was surprised and now completely convinced of your robot origin even more (close enough) now that he has evidence of you having a crazy power. he wouldn’t doubt if you were given nen by some powerful user who’s also a mad scientist or smth. he finds it to be useful, and is in intrigued by the fact that you too are actually a technical type like him that doesn’t have to revolve around combat. except yours can be used for it as well. whereas his? not so much. the part that surprised him most is how much it can do. especially since it can do what shalnark can too. actually no he has a new theory now that he knows what it can do and that it can steal nen types, you were made in a lab as a robot, got fed up with your powerful nen user creators, stole their nen and killed them, went on a killing spree and stealing nen then joined the troupe. maybe that’s why chrollo had you join, because you have both his and shalnark nen and more. if chrollo could convince you to join instead of taking your ability you could prove to be valuable! yeah he just came up with a whole new backstory after that, he still isn’t gonna ask about it to confirm he’s just convinced. “new lore unlocked” ahh kortopi 🤣

as you start warming up to the troupe he, like every other member that was getting used to your brazen behavior, is confused, weirded out and a bit shocked. the sudden switch up is almost comical to him. turns out you just needed to adjust i guess. i mean, after running away from your previous evil creators and being invited into another group, yeah i wouldn’t trust anyone either. looks like the whole insult thing was just a defense mechanism. maybe you were programmed that way even, to not trust immediately. makes sense for a killbot. (yes he’s still on that 😂😂🤷‍♀️)

his crush developing after you calm down makes perfect sense. there was no way he was even acknowledging you more than a theorized robot before you changed. it wasn’t even really a change, just a 3% tolerance 😂😂 but hey it counts when it’s a stone hearted robo like you 🤷‍♀️ (yes he’s convinced me, i think your a robot too now 🤣😜) you two likely just ended up playing games more, harmonizing on missions better, holding actual conversations and such that he realized you weren’t so bad. so bad you were kinda good! and ngl, i don’t think he’d realize he has a crush on you. yes it’s his turn to be the ironic on seeing as though he’s also the observant one. but i think he’d think it’s just friendship because you warmed up. and yk your cool n stuff. so your friends now! at most he’d just think he really likes you, your best friends! like nobu and uvo :) what an ironic duo tbh 💞😂

she’s a pretty stylish and chic woman herself, literally all of her fits from official art to her in a suit to her regular fit in the 1999 and 2011 version are fire. that said she things your robe is edgy and outdated. LOL NOT ACTUALLY. no actually, not actually, she..like every troupe member couldn’t care less what you wear. i mean tbh a cloak is similar to what feitan’s wearing but in red. and if she does have a problem with that fashion she’s never said it 🤷‍♀️

people around her having a cold personality is something she’s completely used to. no big shocker there, your in a band of thieves willing to kill for what they’re stealing, including her! and you! loll yeah it literally doesn’t phase her. in fact if you were solely a softie she wouldn’t say anything but would think you’re not cut out to be a member. (not uvo’s type of softie, actual like regular people softie).

speaking in insults is new but nothing she can’t get used to. insulting her doesn’t hurt her feelings obviously, she’s also not one to take it personally or get angry over it. she just notes that the two of you likely won’t get along and moves on. you’ll just be another one of the members she doesn’t interact with (and by that i mean the new members/outcasts: hisoka, illumi and kalluto). when she sees you do the same to the other members she figured you just have a problem with everyone on sight. which is correct 😂 she assumes you have some sort of ulterior motive since your clearly not all that interested in the troupe’s. thus she’s wary of you. not as in scared of course, but she doesn’t thrust you with her life like she does the founding members, or at all. and she keeps an eye on where you are. specifically if it’s just the two of you on missions, making sure your not doing anything to sabotage the troupe or backstab her mid mission.

ignorance and disrespect is nothing she can’t handle. just about as much as insults. the only difference between you and any other person who dares to disrespect her is there’s no fighting allowed in the troupe so she can’t shoot you. so how does she handle it outside of that? well she doesn’t. she, like many others, ignores you. it’s pretty black and white with the troupe with a few minor differences depending on personality. but for the most part their either fighting back or ignoring you, soooo have fun wi the hat info! the first time you leave when she’s mid sentence is the last. she won’t bother talking directly to you again. she’ll do her own thing on missions and make sure you don’t screw it up by not following orders. otherwise, if you got a problem and don’t wanna talk to her, that’s not a problem with her. she simply only talks to the other members from then on. indiscriminately killing is just about the only thing you do that she can agree with. your only behavior that isn’t a problem. for whatever reason anyway, she still doesn’t get why joined only to have an issues with every little thing. you must just really like stealing and killing or something. even then if you have something against people why joined a literal group? just steal and kill on your own??

announcing your presence with a pressure change in the air is good for her since she keeps an eye on you. she observes to see if this is something you can control or not to make sure she’ll always know when you arrive. or if it’s a trick or nen thing of some sort that your using to get them used to you announcing your presence this way only to not do it one day when you need to spy or smth. see she suspects you but is actually reasonable and has theories (ahem phinks if you read part 1)

a deep voice isn’t something that surprises her. why would she go around assuming you have a medium or light one with no basis? tbh it matches anyway since you literally can’t see your face with that cloak on. now she would assume your a guy, and kinda still does, but the fact that your voice is just too robotic is sus. which also furthers her suspicions about your character in general. you know everyone’s real looks and voices and personality, so who are you working for? 🤨 bc they don’t know anything abt you and the hold cold personality thing could for sure be a lie to keep the troupe from questioning you, your background and who you are personally 🤓☝️🤨

being masculine is something she notes but doesn’t regard much. nor believe. she takes everything she observes about you with a grain of salt since you’re clearly a bit too secretive. and it’s not just because you’re rude, it’s for the continuation of the troupe and her boss, chrollo. she does everything for them as we know and you being a liability/threat is not something she’s gonna let idly slide. 🙅‍♀️ she can definitely tell a few other members a skeptical about you too and that others straight up don’t get along. she doesn’t have the power to kick you out…nor does she understand why chrollo hasnt, (esp when genuinely no one likes you and you like no one) but she’s keeping an eye on you.

yeah after some more watching you she could’ve seen the hate at first sight coming a mile away. this is clearly your agent cover up. possibly anyway, she won’t jump to conclusions, she looks for solid evidence. but don’t you slip up, or it’s lights out for you. seriously though she doesn’t reciprocate this behavior, but again she notes that other members do. she observes your individual relationship with each member, some arguing with you every day, others ignore you, or simply don’t care to respond. she’s not expecting to suck up to everyone if your new, but coming in car fighting doesn’t make sense either….not without a reason. personal or business related, she’s gonna find out why 🤷‍♀️

glaring at her (and every other member) is simply noted but moved on from. all apart of the tough guy act. she’ll never return the favor, only silently collecting data and keeping it in mind. acting like she doesn’t feel your gaze on her as she continues playing cards speaking or contributing to the mission at hand. she also keeps a list on who you glare at the most and why if she can tell. like if it was unprovoked or because the two of you had argued a lot that day (pretty common for some members)

only appearing in the base when chrollo calls for you is obvious evidence for her, thanks! and it’s something everyone noticed, which will only add to her statement when she figures you out. she does keep in mind the chance that your not a traitor and just a weirdo, but don’t ever give her the opportunity to touch you because she will try it at the given chance to see what you’re intentions truly are. good or bad—clearing your name or exposing you to the troupe 😜🤓🔍

if you’re uncooperative for missions this could be a give or take to her mental file of evidence. because on one hand this could mean you don’t wanna help the troupe for the sake of ruining their plans. or it could mean you have some weird alternative motive if your not willing to engage with or help them. in this case your seemingly not trying to butter them up here, as a spy typically would. but this only makes her more inclined to find answers, and her search continues.

when she finds out your physically cold it’s highly likely she initiated the touch to use her ability on you. she adds that info to her tab but doesn’t theorize on it much. along with your robotic voice she may conclude your some sort of robot spy. it sounds silly but she has to consider every circumstance for the troupe sake. (i love ho she’s gone full on investigator mode 😂). you’re dead cold and so is your voice, if she ignores the possibility and it ends up being right she’ll mentally slap her forehead for overlooking it.

if she didn’t know you worked with scythes she’d suspect you of being the chain user. still doesn’t rule you at least knowing them out though, especially when they find out he has allies that know about the troupe (seeing as though gon and killua stalked them). which only makes her even more skeptical, because them doing that is proof someone wants info on them for whatever reason. (⚠️SPOILER⚠️: SKIP READING THIS PARENTHESES IF YOU DONT KNOW WHO THE CHAIN USER IS, INCLUDES A DEATH‼️⚠️ i actual don’t remember if she died before or after this happened i think after tho? anyway)

now when she finds out your real nen type she utterly doesn’t trust you. the fact that you’re really shady, rude and unpredictable with your overpowered nen on top of that is too much of threat to just brush off as your personality. something’s up here, none of it make sense. are you trying to take down the troupe for your own personal gain? you hid your ability for however long for what? there’s more to you then your letting anyone see and it’s dangerous. even if you aren’t a traitor of some sort how could she possibly trust such a peculiar individual. nothing about you adds up and you refuse to explain. why is chrollo even allowing a dangerous- ohhh. he must be looking for an opportunity to steal your ability. if not that he must want you in the troupe for said ability. she’s still baffled and still untrusting.

okay now the weirdest part of this all is when you start warming up to everyone. she’s not just bewildered, she’s more skeptical than she’s ever been of you. what suddenly changed? are you trying a new approach to your spying? why are you being so..less mean. i’ll say, it isn’t kind….yet. and that’s the problem. if you slowly start easing into a sweet personality to let everyone’s guards down and it works, then, well, it works!! a serious problem if it, uh, works!! i’ve gotta say if there’s anyone that continues sus you when you warm up to them, it’s paku.

i have NO idea how the crush forms. actually i can think of one, and it’s if years go by before she warms up to you herself. ironically enough. your heart was 10x colder than hers when you met, but hers took 10x longer than yours to thaw. opposites attract much?? once it that’s it that’s though. she drops all previous suspicions and you two are thick as thieves! (HAHAH GET IT?? CUZ YOU’RE ACTUAL THIEVES!! 😂😂 bruh. 😐 have you no sense of humor 🙄✋) you’re basically best friends always talking and going on missions and playing cards with each other. like uvo and nobu or shizu and franklin! (so cute <3) she’s probably one of the few to realize she likes you and not freak out about it! she doesn’t say anything right away. maybe a few months will go by before she starts to accept it more. she’ll just be even closer to you instead of telling you. really getting comfortable with you, about her past, her likes, interests, etc. she kind of treats you like you’re in the talking stage/friends that know they like each other. even without confirmation you like her back or not, she’ll do this because she can bc y’all are best friends- LOL

Author's Note: More of my little headcannons/shorts I like to write in between projects and asks! This is going to be a little angsty, and SPOILER ALERT for the succession war/HXH manga in general, as this is a Chrollo xreader fic taking place before the Phantom Troupe's departure on the Black Whale One. He changed.

You could tell as soon as you opened your door. 

You saw it in the way he walked.

You saw it in the way he looked at you.

You saw it as he pulled you close and rested his head in the crook of your neck, holding you so tight as if you’d disappear if he let go.

It wasn’t until you took him into your room that he told you about Kortopi and Shalnark's death.

There was rage, anger, and sorrow brewing in him. Though instead of grief, the desire for revenge manifested instead. 

You laid beside him in your bed as he told you about the Phantom Troupes current situation. They were going to board the Black Whale One. No longer for the riches promised in the journey to the Dark Continent, but to kill Hisoka.

They were set to leave in one day. Upon hearing this, your hands instinctively tightened around his.

You knew there would be no stopping him. Still, you wanted him to stop. You wanted him to grieve. You wanted to support him through this time.

You wanted him by your side.

But no matter how long you stared into his eyes, all you saw was an emptiness that only closure could fill. And killing Hisoka would be that closure, and through that, Kortopi and Shalanark will be avenged.

Still, you weren’t sure why he came to you.

You weren’t sure why you knocked on your door.

You weren’t sure why he wanted to see you.

You weren’t sure if you even meant anything to him.

Granted, like the early members of the Phantom Troupe, you were a childhood friend to Chrollo. However, despite your long friendship you both ended up walking separate paths that somehow kept getting intertwined no matter where you were.

Though, you couldn’t really call each other simply ‘friends’ anymore.

But neither of you spoke about whether you two were together.

No matter how many kisses are shared.

No matter how many nights were stolen in each other’s bed.

No matter how many intimate promises made.

Neither of you crossed that invisible line.

So here he was. In your home. In your room. In your bed with your arms wrapped around him as he held you close in return.

“Ties are not forgotten. They’re severed.” Chrollo said as you felt him hold tighter.

“What does our tie look like to you then?” You questioned.

You were asking a question you already knew the answer to. Your ties to Chrollo were an intricate web of connections. Connections that you found yourself getting lost in. Almost like a fly in a spider web, you found yourself trapped and bound to your relationship with Chrollo.

“Our tie is a bond that could never be broken,” Chrollo replied as he kissed you.

Your body melted into his as you felt his warmth. To Chrollo, you made this moment bittersweet. Your soft lips, caring touch, and kind eyes were enough to momentarily distract him from the deaths he’d just witnessed.

And as your lips slowly pulled away from his, that wave of reality crashed back onto the shores of his mind. 

Still, how you managed to make him feel as though nothing else mattered, he could never understand. And while he didn’t understand it, he continued to come back to it. 

To come back to you.

That’s what he always promised you after all. 

He’s made many promises to you, and while there was no definitive label for your relationship, he always felt you deserved the world and tried to give you as many pieces from it as he could.

Expensive (stolen) jewelry, Fancy (yet always short) trips, and everything else you desired. Everything else that wasn’t a relationship with him.

Maybe things would’ve been different if either of you had said something that night. 

Maybe he would’ve stayed.

Maybe you’d finally be in a relationship with him.

Maybe, just maybe—

He’d choose you instead.

But instead, he sat up in your bed as the warm glow of sunset crept its way into your room.

“I—…I have to go,” Chrollo said, pulling you up and into a quick hug.

Upon feeling his arms around you, you began to tear up. This wasn’t even the first time he’d hugged you. Yet for some reason, it felt like it’d be his last.

“…Oh, y-yeah..” You said as you pulled away from him, quickly wiping the tears that threatened to fall.

You both walked in silence as you followed him to the door of your apartment.

“Chrollo! You’ll come back…right?” You asked as your hand tightly gripped the open door in an attempt to keep yourself from reaching out to him.

“Of course, I promise,” Chrollo said as he gave you a soft smile before walking into the darkness of the night.

He promised. 

So, He’ll come back—

Right?

No— Of course He’ll come back—!

He’ll come back, and you’ll say all the things you wanted to say.

He’ll come back, and you’ll find yourself in his arms.

He’ll come back, and he’ll love you.

Yet, this was the one promise you didn’t—no, couldn’t believe. No matter how much you wanted to, because deep down you knew the truth.

After all—

A man who promises you everything will eventually leave you with nothing.
