Manifesting pale skin and a country accent

I lived in Texas almost all my life so I think it’s only fair that I try to get one and as per pillar skin that’s just so I don’t end up getting bullied only like a smidge lighter. I wanna look like I have a tan instead of looking like weirdly colored like some parts of my legs are like a dark brown wall. My face is like a light brown, so I just wanna even it out. 😖

a couple days ago i shifted for a small amount of time to my &team dr and i wanted to talk about it (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

i remember it was like around 4 am and I stumbled upon one of @99oscaars post where they were talking about how they shifted by simply telling themselves they were gonna shift and going to bed (essentially using LOA)!! whenever i try to shift it’s like i have one foot in this reality and one foot in my intended reality, it’s like im not fully ready to leave this current reality behind…but that night i was so tired i ended up being care free and basically being like “fuck it” so i went to sleep and told myself i would be in my &team dr!! keep in mind i haven’t even finished scripting 😭😭

I literally woke up confused asf where i was at and also annoyed because someone was deadass breathing down my neck?! 😭😭 I didn’t even script how my room looks so at first i was like did i shift to another parallel reality again?? I literally turn to face whoever was breathing down my neck and it was fucking yuma 🤐🤐 (i was in literal awe because he looks so gorgtastic omfg) im like no fucking way!! i shifted to my &team dr wtfff!! and like as i’m sitting up so i can examine my room and everything more, he’s kinda like stirring awake because previously we were kinda cuddling in a spooning almost position 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯 im staring at him and my awesome room before i literally hear him whine and then i shift back 💔💔 i think i wasn’t fully grounded and more so shocked because like im actually in my &team dr?! like omg?? sorry for all the filler words but i still can’t believe i shifted to my &team dr 🥹🥹 bruh my room was like sade themed almost, it was so cute!! my dr self has incredible taste (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) god i hope i shift into koga’s arms next…wait im actually so mad i couldn’t jump yuma’s bones before i shifted back 💔💔

𝒾f you've read my other posts, you probably already have an idea of how i got my powers. still, i'll tell the full story so that everyone has the context.

𝒶s you know, there is a seventh infinity stone that exists in my reality: the end stone. its original home was on endora—what i learned to be my home planet. the thing about the stone and endora is that the planet only survived because of the end stone, due to the stone's ability to neutralize the black hole at the center of endora. this unfortunately led to endora's demise as the stone was stolen by thanos and his goons.

𝒽owever, if you recall, only endorian entities (nature, animals, people) can harness and activate the power of the end stone. and since taking the stone destroyed the planet, every endorian is dead. well... except for one. me.

𝓈o how did i get my powers? well, thanos searched everywhere for the last endorian, found me on earth, and planned to kidnap me and force me to transfer the end stone's powers into his gauntlet, launching his search for the other six infinity stones. his plan... sorta worked?

𝓉he night i found out james was spider-man, everyone left me alone. they knew i was angry and frankly, none of them really had the ability to comfort me. so i locked myself in my room, cried pitiful tears, and prepared to go to bed early. but something stopped me. a voice. no, a calling.

𝒾t was as if i was possessed. i couldn't stop myself from leaving my room and finding the closest door to the grounds outside. now, during my entire stay at the avengers compound, everyone made sure to lock the doors all the time, no matter the situation. i was on complete lockdown and was not allowed to go out. somehow, though, as i reached a door, the handle easily turned and i was able to push through.

𝓉he end stone glowed, floating above the training grounds. nobody was around. it was just me and the stone calling my name. i got closer and closer until my sight was filled with the black glow of the gem. my hand, instinctively, reached up at it. it's what it wanted. it's what it was asking me to do.

𝓊pon contact with the stone, a wave of energy washed over the area. it threw me back, landing against the wall and falling to the ground. immediately a siren sounded from within the compound. only a few seconds rolled by before the avengers came running out of the building.

𝒾t all happened so quickly. alien creatures descended from ships, snarling at the avengers who've already suited up. spider-man—james—helped me to my feet. "you have to go inside." when i didn't move, his voice grew stern. "now."

𝒹espite the urgency in his tone, i stood there, frozen in place. he swung away to attack one of the creatures. i watched as the scene unfolded. don't just stand there, a voice in my head said. do something. but what? i wasn't magical. i wasn't specially trained. i had no weapons. i had nothing. i was nothing.

𝑜ut of nowhere a large piece of debris flew my way. any sane person would've jumped out of its way or at least ducked, but i stayed rooted in place watching as this piece of metal was hurdling right at me. i lifted my hands in front of my face, as if that would protect me, closing my eyes cowardly. i waited for the impact and for a second, i felt it. the metal touched my hand and then... then it was gone.

𝓌hat just happened?

𝒾t was then that i started feeling a buzzing in my body, a wave of energy coursing through my veins. i felt feverish and as if i was about to faint, but there was something inside me keeping me strong. the buzzing ran through my arms and out of my hands—suddenly, there was a stream of black mist-like substance coming out of my outstretched hands. a dark circle emerged from where i shot the mist. i looked at it for a few seconds, it felt as if the world had paused. but soon enough a strong current of air came from the circle, sucking its surroundings in—including us.

"𝒽ey, what the fuck is that?" someone said. the racing thoughts in my head were too loud for me to identify the voice.

𝓈omeone grabbed my shoulder, turning me to face them. it was tony stark—or, well, iron man. "did you do this?" he said.

"𝒾—i don't know—it just—my hands—i touched the—"

"𝓎ou touched the stone?" he said exasperatedly. "why does no one ever listen to me. two rules: don't go outside. don't touch the magical glowing stone that could kill us all."

"𝒾'm sorry, i—"

"𝓎eah, we're all sorry," is all he said before flying away.

𝑜nly then i could see the impact of what i'd done. black widow was holding onto a pole for dear life, kicking at whatever alien tried to latch onto her. wanda and vision were attempting to push the creatures into the hole whilst also trying to fly away from its current. spider-man was struggling against his webs attached to the compound's walls. iron man was the only one who seemed to not be struggling—must be the suit.

"𝑜kay, river, i'm gonna need you to close that hole up." iron man's voice came loud and clear. "take your time, obviously. it's not like we're all going to be sucked into the void if you fail."

𝓉he void? is that what that was? i couldn't believe that this black hole had come from me, my hands. but how do i undo it? unsure, i throw my arms up like i had them before, but nothing came out. i tried again. nothing. and again. i was starting to hear the avengers complaining, struggling to hold on. it's now or never, rivera, do something.

𝒾 closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and raised one arm. with a twist of my hand, the void had closed. the wind current ceased and everyone returned safely to the ground. there were some sighs of relief before they realized there were still some alien creatures left to fight. they were clearly frazzled too, because it didn't take long to kill them.

𝒶s the fight came to end, everyone turned to look at me.

"𝓎ou know, you've become the universe's biggest target for that." i couldn't respond before iron man—now tony stark—spoke again. "you're gonna have to learn how to use those powers so we don't become the void's next meal."

"𝒾 can't—how am i supposed to learn? i don't even want these powers."

𝒿ames walked next to me, mask off, placing a hand on my shoulder. i was still tense from our argument, but it felt nice either way. "i know somewhere you can practice."

𝓉he act of destruction through touch. this power can go from taking down buildings to walking through energy fields to slowly destroying a person from within.

— abyssal gate

𝓉he ability to open a portal to a dimension of pure void, of nothingness. only i can manipulate the void, therefore being able to trap someone inside it or take them out. (i can also travel through the void.)

— memory decay

𝒶n ability to tap into people's memories—remove them, alter them, reverse them. this includes my own memory.

— combustive resurrection

𝑒ssentially necromancy. i can communicate and summon the dead. they are under my control until i release them, returning them to the afterlife.

— decay manipulation

𝓉he manipulation of the process of decomposition. with this power, i can accelerate or slow the rate at which things rot, decay, and disintegrate, bending the natural order to my will.

— energy absorption

𝒾n which i can draw the energy out of someone, including their superpowers. i can harvest this energy to amplify my own, but i cannot replicate the other's powers.
