“What do I get if I play fair?” Jungkook asked, tossing the snowball in his hand into the air, ready to shoot it at you.
It was the third time you had a snowball fight (something you decided to make annual the first time you did). But Jungkook, being your best friend and much stronger and faster than you, had already let you win in the previous two years. You couldn’t deny that you felt more than special about being the only person for whom he repressed his competitive spirit, but you couldn’t help feeling a little angry that he thought you were not able to win him (it seemed like he was underestimating you instead of wanting to see you happy).
So this time you really got angry and told him you wouldn’t have a fight if he didn’t play fair and let you win. It was then that his question came up and you didn’t know what to answer, mostly because your heart used to accelerate every time he smiled mischievously and the sound overshadowed anything else around you.
“What do you mean?”
“If we’re going to have a real snowball fight,” he replied, still throwing the snowball high. “Let’s get a real prize.”
It was very hard to concentrate when he looked at you like that, but you swallowed hard and forced your brain to remember that you were best friends and he had no idea how you really felt in the last year.
“What do you have in mind?” The question didn’t go the way you wanted it to, and it was obvious when his smile grew that he noticed the stab of fear in your voice.
It was hard not to feel a little bit afraid when Jungkook went into competitive mode and demanded something. Last time, he’d gotten you to do the challenge of the ice bucket that ran through the social media. Of course it was that time, when he helped dry you out and make you warm, that you realized why your heart was pounding every time you were close to him. You had fallen in love with your best friend.
However, he didn’t seem to notice how you felt, so you kept the secret to yourself so as not to lose the best friendship in the world. Unfortunately, the butterflies in your stomach didn’t understand that.
“The loser will have to grant the winner a request,” he announced. “Whatever the winner wants, the loser will have to do without complaining and without fighting.”
“Why don’t you ever tell me what you want?” You asked with a pout.
“Because you wouldn’t take it if I told you.” He was sincere, as usual. “So, you in?”
He stopped tossing the snowball into the air, which meant he was really ready for war. You squeezed the snowball in your hand, also preparing yourself, bit your lower lip and took a deep breath before answering. “I’m in.”
You barely had time to escape the snowball he threw at you. You ran sideways and threw your first snowball too, but Jungkook was quick and dodged, already preparing another snowball.
The fight really seemed different from the other years. Not that you didn’t always strive, but having Jungkook really motivated to win was another story. Although he was bigger than you, the fact that he was an athlete and you weren’t make him much faster. Diverting from his snowballs was not easy, and you couldn’t get away from many of them anyway.
Even though he had decided to play for real, every time one of his balls struck you, you noticed that he was not playing with all the strength he had. You had seen Jungkook play snowball fight with his friends and all the other boys complained that even the snow could hurt when it left the boy’s hand. However, it didn’t hurt so much when it hit you, which meant he was still controlling himself.
You also managed to hit him a few times, although it was much less. The last two snowball fight events had taught you something.
But Jungkook was way better than you. When you were half dead, your whole body aching from the workout, and your breathing began to ache, you regretted that you had stirred up the competitive spirit of Jungkook, who seemed not to have moved one second, because he was still running and breathing normally. Maybe doing a sport as he always suggested was not such a bad idea.
In one last attempt to win before falling dead of fatigue, you circled the little fort you had built, trying to surprise Jungkook from behind. But he was smarter and climbed up the fort without you noticing. From there, he threw a snowball straight into your hand, knocking down your snowball, then he jumped on your side and knocked you to the ground with him. Finally, he picked up a handful of snow and hit you head.
You just sighed and lay there with your head on his arm and your arms stretched out beside your body. You didn’t even have the strength to admit defeat.
“I won,” he said calmly, and you sighed again as you noted that he didn’t look a bit tired.
“You can let me win again next year,” you stated, breathing still ragged. “I’ve never been so tired in my life.”
Jungkook chuckled but didn’t move or say anything, and you stood there, half-hugging, lying in the snow and looking at the baby blue sky.
You didn’t want to leave that position. It was so good when Jungkook held you that way. And at that moment, it didn’t make much difference if he heard your heart hammering inside your chest.
Only when your breath was estable, Jungkook spoke again.
“I guess I’ll demand my award now,” he commented slowly, as if he was still thinking about it.
But you always kept your word, especially when it came to Jungkook. “What do you want me to do?”
“Just don’t fight me, okay?” He replied, but you didn’t even have time to respond.
With an impulse, he turned and touched your lips with his. He gave you a kiss that surprised you so much, that you only managed to widen his eyes when he pulled away and stood looking at you with raised eyebrows and biting into the inside of his mouth.
You really couldn’t react, only the reason was because your ear was buzzing, your heart felt like a machine gun and the butterflies in your stomach seemed to be having a party.
“Aren’t you gonna say anything?” He finally asked after a while.
All you could do was shake your head as you tried to control the reactions of your body and mind.
“I know I asked you not to fight with me, but can you say something?” It was the first time you had seen your best friend, who had always been self-confident, looking nervous. “Maybe I shouldn’t have done it. I didn’t want to upset you, I just thought you should know how I felt and maybe I should try, and I couldn’t think much about the consequences, and…”
You grabbed his coat and pushed up, kissing him to stop him from talking. That surprised him too, for he googled his eyes like you.
“And now, who’s speechless?” You teased, and the big smile on your best friend’s beautiful face was a reflection of yours.
Prompt: This is always the worst part of the year for me, except now I’ll spend the holidays with you.

You didn't want to go in. As much as that was your duty, and as much as you promised your brother Jungkook that you would do that, you did not want to enter the inn. Just looking at the rustic facade, beautifully decorated for the festivities, made your heart clench and you relive the cries of that fateful night.
When Jungkook asked you to do that inspection, you listed all the reasons you remembered and didn't remember to see if he changed his mind and sent someone else in your place. But it was Christmas Eve and everyone was home, celebrating the date with their families, including Jungkook. You even tried to make the inspection after Christmas, but even you knew it wouldn't work since you were postponing that inspection for 3 years.
So here you were standing in front of the only place in the world you were not ready to enter.
"Miss Jeon?" You heard someone call beside you and turned to see who it was.
The man standing with a shovel in his hand opened his eyes wide, showing that he was surprised by your presence. But you were also surprised to recognize the man, even after 8 years.
"Mr. Kim?" You asked, approaching the man and removing your glove to shake his bare hand. You smiled as you remembered Mr. Kim's habit of always removing snow from the inn passage without the gloves, which slowed him down because he didn't feel the tool right in his hands. "I didn't think you were still working here," you said.
Grinning, he reached out and took your hand, his grip as strong and firm as eight years ago.
"You will find that little has changed since you left," he replied.
"The facade is still the same," you agreed, returning back to the entrance of the inn that had once been your home.
"Let's go in, kid," he called, stepping forward and up the front steps of the inn. "You'll freeze if you stay out here for too long."
You did what he said. You had to do that even if you weren't ready to go back to that place. So it was better to pull the bandage at once and hope that the wound wouldn't bleed again.
Mr. Kim opened the door for you, and as soon as you set foot inside the inn, you felt as if you were traveling back in time. It wasn't just the outside that remained the same, the inside as well. Even the ornaments you thought would be worn and discarded were in place, just as when you and Jungkook lived there with your parents.
Trying not to think about that memory, you swallowed hard and headed for the reception desk along with Mr. Kim, who put the shovel behind the counter and told you he would look for the manager, leaving you alone.
You couldn't resist looking around. That inn had been your home in childhood and adolescence, and also for a year after you became an adult. You might be expected to feel bad about entering, mainly because of the memory responsible for your absence from that place, but you were actually feeling at home, as you had never felt in Seoul.
“Y/N?”
You tensed your spine at that voice. Suddenly all memories of the house, the tragedy, and the years after that disappeared, leaving only one memory instead. A warm, loving smile that reached into the brown eyes, making them smile along with the thick-lipped mouth.
You turned slowly back to the counter and found the owner of the smile that flooded your mind. But this time, Jimin wasn't smiling. He was watching you with his head bowed slightly, his expression neutral, showing no emotion at seeing you.
"Hello," was all you could say.
You didn't realize Jimin had become the new manager of the inn. If you had known, that would have been one more reason why you would try to postpone the inspection. Even so, nothing could be done now, since you were standing there facing him in the place you had so badly wanted to avoid.
"Jungkook said someone would come to do the inspection," he continued, still showing no emotion at seeing you again. That made you more disappointed than sad. You could expect anger, resentment, disdain, but you could never expect indifference.
That's what you get for abandoning a love for so long, a voice in your head accused you.
"But I didn't think it was going to be you," he added. Then he smiled. That smile you remembered, and even though you had only just discovered it, the smile you missed so much. As before, the smile easily reached the eyes. "Good to see you again."
You blinked, trying to reorder the thoughts that had turned to smoke when you saw that smile. You cleared your throat and then said, "It's good to see you too."
At that moment you noticed. Quickly, in a brief second, when Jimin tilted his head again and looked into your eyes, you could see the sorrow.
"Is it?" He asked, still smiling.
Taking a deep breath, you simply nodded. Then you looked around, trying to ignore what Jimin was doing to you.
"I see you left everything as before," you said, trying to change the subject to what had brought you there. Jimin was one more reason for you to do that inspection quickly and get out of there.
"Yes," he replied, even though he knew you had not asked a question, but made an observation. “The old manager told me it should be like this and Jungkook specifically asked me that. But even if no one had asked me, I would have done so. I like the look and the traditions.”
"I didn't know you were the new manager," you commented, still trying not to look at him, but couldn't help but do so when he fell silent.
Jimin agreed as soon as you turned back to look at him, then said, "I hear you haven't heard anything about this place since you went to Seoul."
“I still heard some news,” you felt you needed to defend yourself, but the truth was he wasn't wrong, you really didn't want to know anything about the inn your parents left for you and your brother.
"Only that management had changed," he added for you.
You were responsible for all inspections of your brother's property, including the inn. You had a partner, someone who did the inspections with you and who was responsible for the inn inspections since you moved. But this partner of yours had resigned, leaving that responsibility to you. Even though you had postponed doing that for so long, you knew this day would come.
"And that everything is still working very well," you reinforced. You wanted Jimin to know that you knew he was doing a good job.
“So we were without inspection for three years?” He asked, and the cheerful smile distorted a little, showing that his sense of humor hadn't changed either. You thanked God for that, because it made the mood lighter among you.
"I wanted to give you some time before you face a slightly roughneck inspector," you replied, joking too.
"Then I should strive to make everything look perfect," he replied, stepping out from behind the counter. Where would you like to start?"
"How about the kitchen?"
Jimin narrowed his eyes and came very close to you.
"Your stomach always spoke louder," he whispered. And as if it'd been called into the conversation, your stomach made a loud noise. That made Jimin laugh before walking away from you and heading toward the kitchen.
Before you followed him, you grimaced at your own belly, wishing Jimin wasn't around so you could reprimand your stomach. Weren't butterflies enough? Did it still have to talk to Jimin? Hadn't any part of your body missed him?
It was the smell that changed the course of your thoughts. If the sight of the inn with the same decorations as when you were younger or the sight of Mr. Kim doing his usual chores hadn't made you feel at home, the smell of Mrs. Jung's delicacies certainly did the job.
Looking around the kitchen, you could see the finely decorated gingerbreads, the appetizing cakes and pies, the jars of natural juice and the oven-ready Christmas turkey. That sight brought tears to your eyes and a smile to your face.
"Oh my God," the exclamation caught your eye and you turned to look at Mrs. Jung, who was pulling another batch of gingerbread out of the oven. “When Mr. Kim told me you were here, I couldn't believe it. I thought it was another joke of that old fool. But it's true. Our little Y/N has come home!”
Dropping the tray on the counter, Mrs. Jung ran to you and wrapped you in a tight hug. It had been so long since you had been hugged with such enthusiasm that the tears accumulated by the memory of that lady's smell of food eventually spilled.
"Oh my dear," Mrs. Jung said as she pulled back to look at you closely, then wiped the tears from your cheeks as she continued to speak as if you were never gone and were still the little platter stealing her candy. "I'm very happy to see you too."
“I missed you, Mrs. Jung,” you confessed, knowing deeply that missing them had been the worst part of leaving.
"You're here now," the woman said, hugging you again. "There's no reason to cry."
When you walked away, your gaze went straight to Jimin, who was watching you with that neutral expression again, as if he didn't want you to know what he thought of all that.
Wasting no time and also wanting to relive the memories, Mrs. Jung took a portion of gingerbreads and placed them on a plate so you could taste them. That was becoming the best inspection you had ever done.
After half an hour, you and Jimin finally managed to get rid of Mrs. Jung and you two went to the second floor. Not without her leaving another plate in your hand, this time with a piece of every pie she'd made.
“You're not going into this room with a plate of food in your hands,” once again the voice that caught your attention startled you and made you nostalgic. "Even though you own the place."
As you turned to the bedroom door in front of the one you were ready to enter with Jimin, you smiled. Lisa hadn't changed a thing in the eight years you didn't see her. She was still the same red-haired, easy-smiling girl you called a friend.
Of all the people in that place, she was the only one you had been in contact with. It was at her urging, of course, as she nearly shot Jungkook for him to give her your new phone number. Still, it was great to still have her as a friend, even at a distance.
“The good daughter makes it home,” Lisa said as she walked with open arms to you. Without thinking twice, you forgot the pie you were tasting and hugged your friend you haven't seen for so long. "Just so you know, he knows we kept in touch," she whispered in your ear, making your eyes go straight to Jimin, who continued with the neutral expression you didn't like.
You walked away and you looked back at Lisa, who you smiled at. You hoped Lisa would fill you with questions about your trip and help you keep the mood light even with Jimin's presence, but all she did was send Jimin back to work and say she could take care of you.
As much as his presence was making you nervous, you felt your heart tighten as he simply nodded and left you alone with Lisa to look around the rooms.
“Where are the guests?” You asked when you and Lisa entered the third empty room.
“Jimin knew the inspector would come today, so he arranged a trip to the village with all the guests. That would make it easier for you to do the inspection.” Lisa answered.
"Did he know I was the inspector?" You couldn't hold back the question as you watched the spotlessly clean and tidy room.
"Jungkook also kept him in the dark, you know," Lisa replied, drawing your attention to her, who was removing invisible dirt from one of the pillows. "As much as you didn't know anything about the inn and Jimin, Jimin knew nothing about you and Seoul."
"How is that possible? They are still friends.”
“The best, from what I hear. But your brother always wanted to stay true to your wishes. That's also why he never asked you to come back here until today.”
"Then why did he insist that I come?"
Lisa stopped inspecting the room with you and looked into your eyes. Then she came over and took your hands.
"I think he saw the same thing I always heard in your voice when talking to you over the phone," she replied. "Jungkook saw how much you needed to find the Christmas spirit within you."
"I don't want the Christmas spirit and I certainly don't want it here," you snapped.
But that was not true. You really thought you didn't want to remember Christmas more than you needed, but when you arrived at that inn and relived many things from your childhood, you realized that finding the Christmas spirit might not be that bad.
"Maybe you should finish the inspection and go back to Seoul then." It wasn't Lisa who answered, as you expected. It was Jimin, who was standing in the bedroom door with the same neutral expression on his face. But once again you saw the sorrow in the brown eyes for a second.
You didn't want to admit it, but hearing that from Jimin hurt you too. However, you should not expect him to ask you to stay. In eight years, he had never tried to convince you to come back. Even when you decided to leave, Jimin didn't insist that you stay. And when you left, you promised yourself that you would not look back, for that would only bring sadness.
"I think you can see that the rooms are spotless," he added.
"I hear she makes a point of inspecting every room of the places she goes," Lisa said, trying to help you through that awkward moment. But you also wanted to get it over with.
"I know everyone is doing their best, so I think I can accept these three rooms as an example of your good work," you said, leaving the room with Jimin.
"Will you at least stay for lunch?" Lisa asked as she watched you and Jimin return to the stairs.
"I have to be in Seoul early tomorrow, so I should leave as soon as I'm done."
"She doesn't want to stay, Lisa," Jimin said, but didn't look at you, just at your friend. “She didn't even want to come. So let's let her do her job and say goodbye.”
Lisa didn't answer, just sighed and nodded before looking at you and raising her eyebrows in a silent question. You didn't want to answer either, though. You knew everyone was wondering if you and Jimin would end up talking about everything. But you didn't want that to happen, you just wanted to end that visit to the past right away.
The rest of the inspection went pretty fast, with Jimin taking you through the inn's rooms and you just watching everything and writing down what you needed to put in the report. But you weren't really taking notes. You were so aware of Jimin's presence in every room of this inn that you couldn't think of work.
It was only when you arrived at the stable that you decided it was time to kick the elephant out of the room.
"Jimin," you called, stopping him from opening the door for you to look at the place.
He turned to you with raised eyebrows and neutral expression from before. It wasn't making you sad anymore, it was pissing you off. How could he be so indifferent to your presence?
"Aren't you bothered that I'm here?" The question came out before you could think of asking it.
Jimin frowned and watched you for another minute before opening the door behind him and entering the stable without answering you. That made you even angrier.
"Don't you mind that I came to do this work?" You asked as you walked behind him.
Inside, everything was very hot, as if it wasn't starting to snow outside. This was the only place that had changed in the entire inn. What was once a stable was now a storehouse, mostly of firewood and coal.
“As you can see, only this place has changed,” he said, answered your surprise but not your question. “The horses got old and needed to be sacrificed. Money was short and horse values were high, so we need to save money and forget about this little detail of the inn. But we made good use of the place, storing the wood so no one would have to brave the cold to keep the house warm.”
"Yes, I can see it," you agreed as you looked around.
When you turned to Jimin again, he was standing behind the closed door, looking at you.
"You didn't answer me," you insisted, stopping in front of Jimin. If you needed to work it out, it better be done sooner than later.
"I'm not bothered that you are here," he finally answered. “And I don't mind that you came. Like I said when we met earlier, it's good to see you again.”
You stood there waiting for him to continue, for him to tell you what he was thinking and feeling, as he used to do when you were younger and together. But Jimin said nothing more, just stared at you.
"That’s it?" You whispered, then cleared your throat and repeated the question. You didn't want to admit it, but Jimin's lack of eloquence was bothering you more than his neutral expression.
But suddenly everything changed. Jimin frowned and took a step toward you. You were so surprised you stepped back.
"What did you expect me to say?" He asked, this time advancing more than one step and backing you to the point of nearly knocking over a pile of freshly cut wood. Even so, jimin didn't stop until he was inches away from you. “What did you expect me to say, Y/N? Did you expect me to be upset? That I'd scream and kick you out? Or did you expect me to cry and get on my knees so you won't leave again?”
"I..." You couldn't finish it, you were too focused on the thick lips that formed the words spoken to make you feel bad. You were more focused on the mouth than the words, in fact.
"What do you want me to say?” He continued, “Want me to ask you what life was like in Seoul? Want me to show interest in the girl who left me or in the woman who came back for just a second? Do you think you were the only one who tried to forget? Do you think you were the only one who suffered from everything that happened?”
“No. I…” Once again you couldn't finish it. The words didn't hurt you but puzzled you. You had never really thought about the suffering of others, only yours and Jungkook's. You just wanted the pain to pass.
But it was never gone. You had never forgotten or felt better. Being away from that place hadn't changed a thing. But being there, with all the people you loved (or nearly all of them since Jungkook had stayed in Seoul with his girlfriend), was changing everything. You needed to tell Jimin that, but he didn't seem too willing to hear you.
"You weren't the only one who suffered, Y/N," he said. Then he put his hands on your face, framing it delicately. “Your parents were very important to me too. Jungkook was my best friend. And you were… Your are..."
Jimin swallowed hard as you saw the accumulated sorrow in his eyes that used to smile as much as his lips. Without thinking, you put one hand over his hand on your cheek and put your other hand over his chest, feeling the throbbing beat. As soon as you realized that Jimin was as affected by the reunion as you were, the words came out easily.
"I’m so sorry. I just wanted to get away and think and try to feel something again. When the accident happened… When my parents died, I felt like I had gone numb. It was as if no feeling could reach me. So I needed to try to forget what had happened to feel something, anything, again.”
That made Jimin back off, ending any physical contact between you.
“I went to Seoul with the intention of running away from what I wasn't feeling,” you continued, because you needed to explain to him why you had abandoned him… And why you still missed him. "But it didn't work. I spent eight years away from here, away from everyone, away from you. But it did not work. I tried to run away to feel something again, but all I could feel was longing. So when I noticed that, I was afraid. If I came back, what would happen? Would I be numb again? Would I even stop missing you? But I was wrong, Jimin. It was just getting here for me to realize that. And I'm so sorry it took so long.”
Jimin stared at you in silence, without interrupting or expressing any reaction. Then, suddenly, he advanced toward you again. Nonstop a few inches this time, Jimin held your face in his hands and sticked your mouths in a deep, hungry kiss. Eight years of longing and torment were laid in that kiss, as if one could never be satisfied with the other.
"Stay with me," Jimin said then, when you managed to stop kissing for a second. He kept his forehead to yours and looked into your eyes, where you could see everything you had ever loved and that you still loved. “Stay here today, at least tonight. Spend Christmas with me... with us. Let me show you how much we miss you too.”
"I..."
When you couldn't finish what you were going to say, Jimin kissed you again, but greedily this time. He had already lost you once, he wouldn't lose you again.
"I couldn't come looking for you," he confessed, surprising you. “Jungkook said you needed time, so I gave you all the time you needed. When I was giving up, when I was about to go to Seoul to look for you, the manager retired and Jungkook asked me to keep the inn. I was going to say no, but he said I needed to keep the inn running as usual for when you come, for when you come back. I don't think he's ever played so dirty in his life, but it worked out great, and I stayed and gave you more time. When you showed up here today, I knew I needed to let you go fast or I would never let you go again.” He kissed you for the third time. A kiss that was so much more than the first two. He didn't just want to stop missing your kisses or to beg you to stay, Jimin wanted to dry your tears and erase all your sadness. "If you want to leave, you have to go now, or I won't be able to give you more time."
You didn't need to think anymore. Since you saw him that morning and all the time you spent with him going around the place you loved and missed the most, you threw your arms around Jimin's neck and kissed him too. You didn't want to leave. As much as you didn't think you were ready for that, living there with him was all you wanted most.
"I don't need more time," you answered. "Don't let me go again."
Smiling, Jimin dropped his hands from your face and grabbed your waist, pulling you against his body.

The room was quiet when you opened your eyes. The darkness would not let you see much beyond the moonlight streaming through the closed window glass. Jungkook's breath at the nape of your neck was calm. Everything seemed normal. But something had woken you up, you just didn't know what it was yet.
You let your eyes adjust to the darkness, so slowly you were scanning the room with your eyes. Jungkook's computer's desk was the same as he had left the night before, before going to bed with you. The curtains were still open, letting in the moonlight. The window was still closed, preventing the icy winter wind from invading the room. The bookcase and trophies, the wardrobe with an open door, the nightstands, everything looked exactly as before.
Jungkook grunted behind you, waking up after noticing that you had tensed under his arms and was slowly turning to face him.
"What happened, darling?" He asked, pulling away from you a little to make room for you to turn around.
You didn't even look at him, continuing your thorough inspection of the room when you answered, "Something woke me up."
Your boyfriend, who was usually very brave, frowned, surprised at the fact that you, who used to be very brave too, were apprehensive about something. Maybe even slightly frightened of whatever had woken you up. Following your example, he also began inspecting the room.
Since the room was his, his eyes moved much faster than yours, since he was even more accustomed than you to everything around him. So you ended up looking at the door leading to the hall at the same time.
Your eyes were quite used to the darkness by then, so it was easy for you to see the doorknob turn slowly. And before you could react to the fact that someone was wanting to come in, the door burst open, showing that the one who entered the room was none other than Santa Claus.
Both you and Jungkook jumped on the bed and screamed so loudly that even the incoming Santa was startled, shouting in the middle of his "Ho ho ho".
When someone turned on the light, all eyes were wide with astonishment. After a second or two, Santa (who was Seokjin in costume) began to laugh, as did the people behind him (all the other boys). It took a second or two after the laughs started for you and Jungkook to notice why they were laughing. You and Jungkook were holding each other, wide-eyed, glued to the headboard, as if shielding yourselves from the intruder.
Slowly, you let go of each other, but couldn't laugh at each other as you were terrified. Not even when the boys came into the room and made fun of you, you could do more than give a bland smile. Not that you were going to tell them what had really happened, but you knew the truth.
That was a secret you wanted to keep hidden from Jungkook since the beginning of your relationship. You were a little scared of Santa Claus. You didn’t understand why, that’s why you didn’t want Jungkook to know about it. But you knew that little joke from Seokjin had taken at least ten years of your life. What you also didn’t know was that Jungkook was hiding the exactly same secret from you.
When the boys finally left your room, you and Jungkook lay quietly, staring at the ceiling with your eyes still slightly wider than usual.
"I don't think I'll be able to sleep anymore," you confessed, clutching the blanket over your chest tightly.
"I think we'll spend the night doing something else after all," Jungkook joked, but the smile only came to his face when you looked at each other.
"I'm sure it will be much better," you teased.
Since Jungkook was also willing not to sleep and be alert for another Santa scare, he didn't even think twice about kissing you and making sure you were wide awake that night.

Brown. Your hair was brown. Wasn't there a duller, more common hair color to have? Why did you have to have brown hair?
You stared at the hair dye over the sink, wondering if you really should dye your brown hair, the most common color in the world, to any other color. Who cared if your skin tone matched the brown of your hair? So what if the person you believed would be your soulmate said he liked your brown hair? How would you know who your true soulmate was if your hair was the most common brown?
It was the knock on the bathroom door that made you give up on doing that madness. Your best friend always knew when was the time right to come and stop you from doing crazy things. Not that she was thinking of stopping you from anything when she knocked on the bathroom door where you were locked half an hour ago. She just wanted to warn you that everything was ready for you to go camping.
Your mother said it was a bad idea to go camping at this time of year, but your friends had gotten a camp all set up, and it wouldn't even look like a real camp, since the cabins had electricity and internal heating (even if the fireplaces were off). You just wanted to have fun with your friends, since when you were at home, all you could think about was the brown color of your hair.
When you got in the van, you met your friends who welcomed you very happily. You were the last of the group that was missing for everyone to travel. Everything would be pretty normal if Yoongi hadn't stopped to pay attention to you, something that left you with butterflies in your stomach.
You shifted in the passenger seat about three times before finally asking why he was looking at you so much.
"Did you notice the change in your eyes today?" He asked, eyeing you before he paid attention to the road again.
"My eyes?" You asked as you lowered the visor and looked in the mirror.
No, you hadn't noticed your eyes that morning. There was never anything extraordinary about your eyes - just like your hair, they were brown. Everything was brown, that's why you were so bothered by your hair. If you were so normal, how would you know who your soulmate was?
But that morning, you should have noticed your eyes. When you looked in the bathroom mirror for half an hour, wondering whether or not to dye your hair, you should have looked into your eyes and noticed the change. Because it wasn't just any change. Whoever your soulmate was they seemed to have gotten tired of being normal too and dyed their hair pink. Then you should have noticed the change in your eyes, since instead of being brown as usual, your eyes reflected the most beautiful baby pink you had ever seen.
It was there, inside the van, heading to a winter camp, sitting next to the person you wanted your soulmate to be, that you realized that nothing was as normal as you had thought when you woke up.
"I didn't notice," you finally answered Yoongi, not being able to look at him again, knowing the disappointment was clear in your voice. After all, Yoongi's hair was still brown and that could only mean that he wasn't your soulmate as you thought.
"They look good," he commented, and you frowned, wanting to notice the disappointment in his voice as well, but he kept talking, not showing that he cared that you weren't his soulmate, and you let it go. “I've never seen eyes like this before, even though I know they change when our soulmate dyes their hair. I don't think I've ever met anyone who had a pink-haired soulmate.” He laughed.
If you weren't Yoongi's soulmate and he didn't care about that, then you should stop dreaming and try to find this pink-haired person, since it was them who was also tired of looking for someone with brown eyes and hair.
The day flashed by after you decided to distract yourself from the disappointment and enjoy the trip with your friends. It was only at night, when everyone was already housed in their camp huts, that you remembered what was happening to you and decided to take a walk alone through the snow.
Your friends said there was a lake near the huts you were in and it should be frozen because of the weather. So you decided to take a walk, and if the ice was firm on the lake, you could skate a little.
Since your whole day seemed to be full of bad luck, you decided that the very solid state of the ice was a stroke of luck. You put on your skates and skated on the ice, looking up at the sky and wondering how you would find who you were looking for.
When you looked down again, it was luck that didn't give you time to brake or dodge, causing you to fall on someone who was skating as distractedly as you. Good thing the ice was thick and hard enough to support your weight together.
You tried to get off the stranger quickly, apologizing for being distracted, and he did the same, looking at your body intently to make sure you weren't hurt by the fall. When you both looked up, you both widened your eyes.
The first thing you noticed about the stranger who found you out of nowhere in the woods was his pink hair.
The first thing Jimin noticed about you was your eyes, which were the same shade of pink he had dyed his hair that morning.
"You..." You talked together and shut up.
So you laughed as you helped each other get up.
"I'm sorry," he started again. “I didn't imagine there would be anyone skating here at this time. Usually the camp is empty this time of year.”
“Do you always camp here?” You could not resist asking.
"Every year," he grinned, making his brown eyes match the smile that seemed to take over his beautiful face.
"It's the first time my friends and I have come here," you said, mirroring his smile. “We never had the idea of traveling in winter before.”
"I guess not," he laughed. “People prefer to stay home and warm at the holidays.”
Silence fell around you again. Not even nature was helping at that moment, as the cold made everyone hide. Not even the cold wind was blowing at that moment.
"You..." Jimin tried to break the silence as he analyzed your eyes and fussed with his hair. "Have your eyes always been this color?"
You couldn't stop yourself from smiling again. That had been a welcome change, though it was a surprise and initially a small disappointment.
"In fact, they turned this color this morning," you told the truth, because if your soulmate were the boy in front of you, there would be nothing disappointing about the change. "They were brown before."
The smile returned to Jimin's lips, making his brown eyes smile once more, illuminating the beautiful face and the winter night.
"I think I did well to dye my hair earlier then," he said, causing butterflies to make a fuss in your stomach for the second time that day. "My name is Jimin." He held out his hand, which you shook without reservation.
"I'm Y/N." Your smile widened when you felt the slight trembling in your hand, which indicated that you had finally touched your soulmate. "Very pleased to meet you."
"Believe me," he said, holding your hand, "the pleasure is all mine."

It had been two hours. You tried to help warming and feeding all the people that were already rescued, but ever since it was an hour since Taehyung had left the rescue center under the worst snowstorm you’d seen in your life, you couldn’t stop looking to the closed red door.
When Taehyung first asked you if you wanted to join him at the rescue center this year so you could save people from the cold as well, you never imagined this year would bring the strongest, most devastating snowstorm of the past 30 years. Streets were blocked by tons of snow, there had already been four avalanche incidents near the mountain and Taehyung’s team had to go to the last place it happened, for it crushed a house and they needed to help the family in there.
But it had been already two hours since they left the center where the rescued people stood to keep warm, feed and rest. Even though you had promised him you wouldn’t be scared if he was late, you couldn’t help but imagine the worst scenario ever. What if it had been another avalanche? What if Taehyung’s rescue team was also dragged under the snow and now they were going to die because they couldn’t communicate with anyone and say what happened? What if you never see your friend again?
You felt like your heart was sinking, as if it stopped beating for a slight second as you thought about the possibility of never looking at his dark eyes again, or never hearing his contagious laugh, or never being able to tell him your feelings had changed in the past few years.
Taking a deep breath, not wanting to turn all those frightening, devastating thoughts into reality, you went to the place where all the coats were being kept and started looking for yours. Even if you had to go out in the snowstorm alone, you would bring Taehyung back, alive.
That was when the red door opened, revealing four men pushing two trolleys into the rescue center. You couldn’t see Taehyung among them, but you were sure that if those men were back, Taehyung would appear soon, so you just ran beside them, helping to place the trolleys near the doctors who would take care of the people over it. When the doctors asked for your help, you didn’t even think twice, handling them everything they asked for.
You were in the middle of the procedure to place the respirator over one of the avalanche victims’ mouth when you felt someone pulling your arm. You finished your task right before Taehyung turned you to face him.
He had a frown, his beautiful eyes observing the coat you were wearing and the blush on your cheeks. It didn’t take long for you to understand that he noticed what you were intending to do before he and his team arrived.
“Were you going somewhere?” He inquired anyway, his sensual voice gruffier than usual, probably because of the cold he felt outside the rescue center.
You couldn’t tell him the truth, even if it was obvious he already knew it. All you could do was pass your arms around his strong torso and give him a tight hug.
His clothes were cold, but it still had his sandalwood smell on it despite the snow it had probably gotten in touch with. You felt by the movement of his firm chest that he sighed before hugging you back. However, it was when he touched your face with his that you felt goosebumps in your stomach. You were friends for years now, but you’ve never been so close as in that moment.
He pressed his arms tighter around you, pushing you more into his body, before whispering in your ear, “you feel so warm.”
So, you just gave up on hiding anything from him, it wasn’t like it was your specialty anyway.
“I was so scared I’d never see you again.”
He sighed again, and this time, he pressed his face against your neck, taking a deep breath (you imagined he was feeling your smell just like you did with him), and when he spoke again, his voice was muffled in your coat. “I’m sorry we took so long to come back. The road was blocked when we tried to return, so we had to clean our way here.”
You would never know if it was a reflex because of the intimate moment you both were sharing, or if it was really his first intention, but your heart pounded wildly inside your ribcage as Taehyung slowly dragged his face upward, burning your skin he had just cooled with his icy skin. Then he touched your cheeks with his before pulling back a little to look into your eyes, his face so close to yours that your noses were touching. Suddenly he came closer, brushing your lips gently with his thick lips in a quick, yet ecstatic kiss.
When he pulled back, gazing at your eyes again, it was like he was expecting a reaction, his eyes observing each movement of yours, however all you could do was take deep breaths to try and calm down your heart.
“I won’t leave you anymore, okay?” He finally opened that box smile you liked so much, and you sighed in relief, smiling back at him.
“That would be good.”
He chuckled, and before you could add anything else, he pulled you into a corner of the center, saying he wanted you to warm him up because it was hella cold outside. You just followed him, happily holding him in your arms as he kissed you again.
Guess it wasn’t only your feelings that had changed in the past few years, and you couldn’t be more excited.
Prompt: It’s our first Christmas together and you don’t want me to figure out you’re afraid of Santa.
Summary: The park’s ghost train has decided to enter the Christmas mood and Jimin is crazy to see how they could scare someone with elves and reindeer. Fear can be a funny thing. Especially if you fear something that people usually love. But your fear of Santa had never been a problem, since you had always been able to hide it. That is, until Jimin dragged you to that ghost train.
For some reason unknown to you, the city’s amusement park decided to enter the Christmas mood and change all its attractions to make it as Christmas as possible. They even turned the ghost train you had never feared into a ghost sled. And you knew that at some point on that ride you’d come face to face with your worst nightmare. That’s why you were doing everything to convince Jimin to give up on that sled.
“Come on!” Jimin kept walking toward the ghost train, ignoring that you were trying to pull him back with your fingers intertwined. “It’s gonna be fun, baby.”
“I disagree,” you spoke for the millionth time, “I think it’ll be extremely boring, as it always was.”
You would never admit your fear, so your idea was to convince your boyfriend that the ride on the Christmas-themed ghost train would be more annoying than the normal rides since you had never shown to be afraid of the toy before.
But even though he was not the bravest guy you knew, Jimin liked that toy. He always said that the scares increased the adrenaline and left him excited to do other things. Besides, how he would go with you, so he could cling to you as much as he wanted.
“Please,” he said, pouting, “I think this time I’m really going to laugh at the ride.”
It was hard to deny anything when he made that abandoned dog face. And it was sighing that you let Jimin drag you into that sleigh with paintings in the form of bloodshed.
You had never seen Jimin so excited to get into that toy. He seemed to really believe that the Christmas theme did not fit with horror movies.
To be honest, it was fun to see Jimin jumping and clutching your hand as you passed some zombie goblins. You did not suppress the laughter when he screamed at the top of his lungs as a snowman ran after you out of nowhere with a knife in his hand. But both you and Jimin made faces when you saw a reindeer eating something that looked like a brain.
As Jimin had said, the ride was actually being fun… until the sled turned on the last turn. Seated in a gold chair with red upholstery, was a chubby bearded man dressed red and white from head to toe. You held your breath and stared at the old man with wide eyes, aware of any movement he could make.
Although Santa slowly stood up, making his trademark hohoho and apparently had a smile behind his all-white beard, you jumped up as he moved. You knew it would call Jimin’s attention, but you were just scared and prepared for what the “good old man” would do.
When the sleigh finally came close to Santa, you saw his eyes glow red and you heard the man’s laughter turn into a malevolent laugh. The character removed two sweet canes with sharp tips from behind him and ran toward you.
Your only reaction was to let out a scream from the bottom of your lungs and cling to Jimin, hiding your face in his chest. You could hear the noises that Santa did when he ran after you, and you kept screaming and crying in fear without looking up. You didn’t stop shouting when you could only hear the noise of the sled trail beneath you and the natural noises of the amusement park.
“Hey, baby, it’s okay.” Jimin called out in a soft voice, but the hand he put on your back made you jump in fright and turn to tap his hand behind you.
Your desperation was so great that you just noticed that evil Santa had disappeared when you met Jimin’s wide, surprised eyes, as well as the people waiting for their friends at the ghost train exit.
Realizing that not only your boyfriend but also a bunch of strangers had just discovered your biggest fear, you jumped up from the sled and ran out into the park. You didn’t even look back when you heard Jimin call you because you didn’t want him to see the tears that fell from your eyes. You just stopped running when you reached the end of the park, behind the roller coaster.
It was not long before Jimin found you though. He called your name in that husky, whispering voice that you loved, and approached you slowly.
“Baby,” he said, putting a hand lightly on your back, afraid to startle you again. “Are you alright?”
He was being the gentle and sensitive boy you fell in love with, so it was hard to ignore him, especially since you were no longer afraid, but just ashamed.
“I told you I didn’t want to go in that dumb toy!” You complained as you tried to dry your face, but it was hard to look angry when your eyes kept tearing.
“I know,” Jimin agreed. “I’m so sorry.”
Then he cupped your chin and made you turn to look at his dark brown eyes. His expression was soft, his thick lips were slightly raised in the corners, almost forming that eye smile you admired.
Since you did not try to turn away from him again, he let go of your chin and dried your tears. Then he cupped your face in his hands and pressed a light kiss to your lips.
“I’m sorry,” he said again. “You always seemed so fearless. I would never imagine you could be scared of a murderous Santa Claus.”
He chuckled, imagining that it was only the “good old man” figure being a bad person who had frightened you. So you decided to be honest.
“I wasn’t scared of that Santa.” You confessed. “I’m afraid of Santa, no matter how he appears.”
Jimin’s expression was funnier at that moment than at any moment of him screaming in the ghost train ride. He seemed to be in complete shock and confusion, with his eyes and mouth open.
Jimin needed to blink a few times and clear his throat to speak again, and yet he had to make a great effort not to laugh at you.
“Why are you afraid of Santa?”
You sighed. It was not the first time you’d heard that question, so you’d decided to keep it a secret before.
“He knows everybody’s address,” you replied, averting your eyes from Jimin’s. “And my mother said that he punished the bad children.”
This time, Jimin couldn’t contain his laughter, even though he had snorted once trying to do it. But you knew he would laugh at you just as you laughed at him every time you entered the normal ghost train.
You were already banging your foot on the floor, waiting irritably until Jimin stopped laughing at your absurd fear.
“Are you afraid of the postman too?” He asked in the middle of the laughter. “He also knows everyone’s address.”
You rolled your eyes and turned, “I’m leaving.”
But you couldn’t even take a step, for Jimin grabbed your arm and pulled you into a kiss. As much as you were upset that he was laughing at you, you couldn’t blame him for your fear was really silly, and you also couldn’t resist those seductive lips touching yours.
“Sorry,” he said again, still trying to hold back the laughter. “But it’s good to know that you’re afraid of something and that now I won’t be the only one to cling to you.”
“That’s not funny,” you mumbled, tapping his chest.
“It’s very funny,” he replied, holding your hands and wrapping them around his neck.
Then he gripped your waist and lifted you up to make you sit on the railing. He slipped between your legs and gave you another kiss.
“But I like you anyway,” he remarked.
“I hate you,” you pouted.
Jimin laughed and gave you one more kiss, a longer and deeper one this time, savoring your mouth with his tongue, “I love you too.”

It was the third time today that you had to escape the mistletoe hanging all over the office. It wasn't that you wouldn't want to kiss Yoongi all the time, but you had promised to keep it a secret until the New Year's Eve party was over, where one of you would get promoted, and you didn't want people to stare at you as if promoting one of you would create a relationship problem.
In fact, you had already talked about it. Both you and Yoongi really wanted each other to win the promotion, not only because you wanted the best for each other, but also because you believed the other deserved that job more. So it was decided that no matter what happens, you would be extremely happy for each other.
Even so, it was good that people wouldn't be looking at you and expecting you to yell at each other at any moment.
Unfortunately, your friends didn't care at all about whatever might happen. For them, you and Yoongi (who had liked each other for a long time) should get together soon and that's it.
And so began your saga.
Since the beginning of December, when the entire office was decorated for the holidays, your friends have put up mistletoes all over the place, arranged meetings that were unexpectedly canceled when only you and Yoongi arrived in the boardroom, and they even scheduled a skating ride on the lake (where only you and Yoongi showed up because everyone else had a problem they couldn't escape to meet you).
If they weren't so obvious in their mischief, they might even have caught you and Yoongi together, kissing, holding hands or looking shamelessly at each other. But it was crystal clear that they were doing it on purpose and kept watching as they left you "alone", so it was very easy for you and Yoongi to run away or pretend nothing was happening... At least until Christmas.
Suddenly, the mistletoes began to appear wherever you went, it just had to be a place that you and Yoongi constantly frequent. Not only the mistletoes, but the innuendos became much more clear when your friends started making jokes about how you and Yoongi liked each other.
It was getting harder and harder to hide your relationship from them, mainly because you couldn't be alone at any time, even if that was your friends' intention (or almost that as they wanted to see everything).
When you arrived at the office for the New Year's party, you noticed that there were mistletoes hanging all the way down the hall, all over the dance floor, and right above the punch. Your friends were certain that you and Yoongi would be together sometime in one of those places, so you ran at least three times away from Yoongi and the mistletoes. And all you have to do was hide in one of the forgotten meeting rooms (since it had no mistletoe).
Staying there for half an hour gave you at least some peace, though you still had to stay away from the one person you wanted to be with tonight. The peace didn't last long, since Hoseok found you.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Hoseok asked with a tight-lipped smile, trying to look like the innocent that didn't exist in him at that moment.
"Well, it's kinda jungly out there," you looked at him with a frown as the bright-toothed smile finally showed on his face. "So I thought I'd wait for someone to prune the place."
"Why don't you two just stop running from each other?" He asked as he sat next to you.
Your response was a shrug.
“It'd be so much easier,” he continued, “if you let this passion that everybody see in you come to light. So what if you're gonna have a problem early in the relationship when the promotion comes out? A relationship without a fight sometimes is not funny.”
You were unable to contain your own smile when you heard that.
“It's not that simple…” You shut up suddenly. It was much easier to just run away from the pitfalls than to explain how much you and Yoongi would hate the pitying glances of the people around you.
"It can't be that complicated either," he ventured, but got no other answer from you.
Sighing, Hoseok got up and asked you to keep waiting for him where you were, before rushing out of the meeting room.
If he had not looked at you, just before closing the door, with a mischievous smile, you could even imagine that his intentions were good and that he would have no other way of bringing you and Yoongi together. But that smile could only mean trouble, and you knew that Hoseok was the most troublemaker of your friends, since with him it wasn't just normal madness. From time to time, he would mix a little magic.
It was hard for you to believe at first, but after a while, it seemed pretty normal that one of your best friends was a wizard. At least he was nice and always aimed for good when he did his crazy things, regardless of making mistakes sometimes.
Either way, you wouldn't leave that room until it was time to announce the promotion, so whatever Hoseok's joke was, he could bring it to you. And it took about thirty minutes for him to come back, which made you even more apprehensive.
"A snow globe?" You couldn't think of anything more original to ask when your friend placed the object in front of you.
"Well, it's not just a snow globe," he explained with a shrug. “My grandmother gave it to me when I found out I was a wizard. It is a snow globe, but it is also a kind of crystal ball. It's kind of weird, because it only works in the winter and you can only ask it one question every year. I thought it would be a good idea for you to ask it what to do, since we are all sure that you and Yoongi should be together, but you're running from each other.”
"I already know what I want to do, Hoseok," you huffed, with a skewed look at the crystal ball/snow globe. It couldn't be that simple.
"Not always what we want to do is the right thing," he shrugged again. This was definitely very suspicious. "This will take away any questions you have and show you exactly how to proceed now."
Still suspicious, you kept looking at the snow globe, wondering if you really should let a magical object decide your fate (which you thought you had already decided with your conversation with Yoongi).
"Come on, it doesn't hurt to try," Hoseok insisted. “All that can happen is that you don't like the answer and do what you want anyway.”
You knew this was another framing from Hoseok, but you couldn't imagine what he could do with it. Also, you were very curious and tired of running from your boyfriend. What could happen so badly? Hoseok convince you to stop under a mistletoe? It was not obligatory for you to kiss someone in this situation. You just had to do what you wanted.
"Okay," you decided. "What do I have to do?"
“Just touch the globe and ask what you want.”
Simple. It was a simple answer. It seemed simple.
But as usual, nothing was that simple with Hoseok.
The moment you touched the globe, the fake snow inside began to fly, as if you had turned on the object by touching it. But what fascinated you most was that once you asked if you should stay with Yoongi at that moment, all you could see was snow. Literally. Not only through the glass of the snow globe you were touching. Suddenly there was snow everywhere, as if you were inside the globe you were holding just a second ago.
"I'll kill him," Yoongi's voice invaded your ears as soon as you started looking up, looking for the glass that probably separated you from Hoseok, who would still de sitting in the meeting room, laughing at his own joke that had worked.
You turned to the place where you heard Yoongi's voice and were not surprised to see your boyfriend also trapped inside the snow globe. Sighing, you and Yoongi met each other in the snow.
"What did he say to convince you to touch the globe?" Yoongi asked as soon as he reached you and put his hands on your bare arms, rubbing them to keep them warm.
"I couldn't imagine this was the consequence of 'nothing to lose'," you said, thinking you didn't need to explain what Hoseok had said. If you knew your friend well, he probably said the same thing to both of you. And since both you and Yoongi were fed up with having to hide, you knew he would believe your friend just as you did. "What will we do now?"
"I don't think he'll let us out if we don't get together," he answered, even without having to. You already expected this part.
"Does that mean we're stuck in this snow globe until new year?"
"Well, if he wants us to be together and we need to get out to get the promotion, better get it over with, don't you think?" Yoongi's voice came out so hopeful that you raised your eyebrows and widened your eyes a little.
"Did you..." You couldn't finish the question.
Would it be so bad that Yoongi no longer wanted to wait? Would it be so bad that he could have set this up with Hoseok? The answer to these questions was as simple as the answer you got from Hoseok. No. In fact, it would be amazing not to have to hide and be able to stay with Yoongi anytime. But before you could ignore your own question, Yoongi said:
“I wouldn't mind stopping running away from you,” and with that answer, Yoongi held your face lovingly and glued his lips to yours, quickly warming your body, regardless of the snow that surrounded you.
You didn't even notice that Hoseok's spell wasn't over and that you would remain stuck in the snow globe until after you announced the promotion. All that mattered was that you and Yoongi were finally in each other's arms, not having to worry about what others would say or think.

Jimin shouldn't be nervous. He had been alone with you many times, so that he let a little anxiety (okay, a lot of anxiety) disrupt the afternoon he had prepared for both of you.
The Christmas party programmed by his friends fit like a glove for the situation he was already planning. And the fact that everyone had to contribute with some Christmas dish was even more perfect. Jimin quickly took advantage of the situation and asked for your help, since you were much better at cooking than he was.
When you accepted it and suggested that you cook together the two dishes your were supposed to take to the party, Jimin was more than happy to arrange everything and prepare his own house to receive you. After you cooked, you could get ready right there and you would go to the party together.
Everything was planned, calculated and prepared. There was no reason for him to be nervous or anxious. But he was. Simply because he wanted to tell you something very important. Something that could change everything between you. Something that would change everything.
He was going over the grocery list, checking to see if he'd bought everything you told him to buy when the doorbell rang and Jimin jumped in the kitchen.
Drying his hands on his pants, he went to the door and opened it, finding you standing there, wringing your hands and taking a deep breath, as if you wanted your heartbeat to stabilize. He knew that for the simple fact that he was doing the same thing. Were you also nervous for being alone with him? But you had done that a thousand times. Could it be that you felt the same way he did?
With or without an answer to his own question, Jimin invited you in. And when you passed him, your characteristic scent invaded his senses and Jimin felt his body relax, as if only your scent were enough to make him feel comfortable.
You said nothing until you reached the kitchen, where you saw a mountain of ingredients above the sink.
"I thought it was just some gingerbreads," you commented, barely able to hold back the laughter at the hype. "Looks like we're going to cook for a battalion."
Your comment made Jimin relax for good. It was good that the interaction between you was always so light.
"I just didn't want to risk running out to buy something in the nick of time," he replied, pretending to be offended by what you said.
"I suppose so," you mocked.
"Shall we do this or are you gonna keep laughing at me?" He asked, throwing an apron at you.
“Alright, let’s go."
And suddenly, it seemed like you had cooked together a hundred times too. The timing was extraordinary, as in everything else you did together. You instructed, Jimin did. It was almost as if you had rehearsed.
Unfortunately, that wasn't exactly how Jimin had planned it to happen. He wanted you to touch him to show him how to do things, but your explanations were so accurate that if he pretended not to understand, he would look like an idiot.
Jimin was frustrated. So frustrated that he ignored the fact that he looked foolish and simply started doing everything wrong when stretching the gingerbread dough (regardless of it being the easy part).
Fortunately, that worked out the way he wanted it to. You approached him, stopping by his side and taking his hands to show him how he should do. Jimin took that moment to look at you closely and forget what you were doing.
Not even when you finished the explanation and looked at him, blushing after realizing your nearness, did Jimin stop admiring you.
"I think you can do it alone," you said, pulling away.
He simply smiled and did it right again. Until the next step, of course. Each time he pretended not to understand your instructions, you would come and show him how to do it, holding his hands and helping him just as he knew you would.
Only at the end of the process, when you were beginning to decorate gingerbreads, did you catch him looking at you as soon as you took his hands to help.
"Are you doing this on purpose?" You asked, squinting at him.
"Can you blame me?" He returned it.
When you started to walk away, he quickly released what was in his hands and turned to hold you in his arms. Your quick inspiration and the shiver that went up your arms was the answer he wanted for the contact.
"You know, you look beautiful when you're focused," he commented, touching your forehead with his. When you sighed and relaxed in his embrace, Jimin continued, “I had a plan, you know? I was going to seduce you while we were here.”
You smiled and blushed.
"What stopped you?"
"Actually, it was you who seduced me," he replied, coming so close to your lips that the words were like a caress. "Now I have no choice but to take you to the bedroom and forget about these gingerbreads."
You also had a plan when you arrived. Dating Jimin and being alone with him was torture when he was so gentlemanly that he tried nothing bolder. So you had planned some kind of seduction too, and you were very happy when he started pretending he didn't understand what you were explaining. But you would never say that to him. Instead, you said, “Won't it take long to get to the room?”
Jimin didn't seem to need any further encouragement. Pulling you around the waist, he lifted you and you wrapped your legs around him as he led you to the table - the only place in the kitchen that wasn't occupied with bowls, ingredients and cookies - and kissed you intensely.
You twined your fingers in his hair, gripping the blond strands tightly as he released your mouth and slid his lips across your cheek, reaching the very sensitive jaw and ear lobe. You gasped, turning your head to the caress as he licked and bit that place he'd never paid much attention to.
Jimin put his hand on your ass and pulled you to the end of the table, pressing you against him, and whispered in your ear:
"I was dying to do this. To give you all the pleasure you desire."
You tried to contain the flood of anxiety that those words caused in you, unable to stop yourself from moving sensually against him. You sighed as you felt him there, between your legs, where you wanted him, repeating the movement, loving the way he pressed you and loving how he moaned with pleasure at the sensations you teased him.
"You drive me crazy," he said, his voice hoarse.
You leaned forward and bit his lower lip, pulling him for another long, heady kiss. Jimin ran a hand down your thigh, exploring the muscles and bones of your leg, bending to find the soft spot inside. Following the seam of the pants you wore, Jimin touched the outside of your knee, the inside of your thigh, teasing you along your pants until he reached where your thighs met and made you wiggle.
A growl-like sound escaped Jimin's lips before he touched your sex and made you sigh with pleasure, even though you were desperate for more.
While touching you with one hand, Jimin used his other hand to open the buttons on the shirt you were wearing one by one until he could see the volume of your breasts. He swore under his breath as he finished unbuttoning your shirt, making you laugh as you sighed.
"You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," he confessed.
His hand slid over the skin of your belly, a sensual promise, before he leaned over you and took a long suck on your breast. You cried out with pleasure. Jimin continued, caressing your breast with his mouth and hand, then paid the same attention to the other breast.
He pulled away then, kissing your mouth again as his hands continued to caress your breasts.
"I want you so badly," he whispered against your lips.
“What're you waiting for?” You asked, unable to resist your handsome boyfriend anymore.
Without hurry, he slid his hands down your side, down your legs. Then he took off your shoes so slowly that you thought you could never do the same again without thinking about that moment. When he was done, he was back on you, pressing his body into yours, hard and hot.
Jimin groaned as he looked into your eyes and saw the desire he felt reflected there, then gave you a long, devastating kiss that ended with him clasping his hands in the fastenings of your trousers, the buttons of which he opened with skill and willingness, until the fabric loosened and he tugged it down your legs, removing your panties as well.
He drew back to watch you with intense concentration. You couldn't help but look down to see what he was seeing: you almost naked on the table, with only your shirt open, slung over your shoulders, and your bra.
"Look at me," that was not a request and you were more than happy to obey.
Jimin reached out to you and a warm hand bent over your knee, the touch erasing any trace of shame. Without his gaze leaving yours, he dropped to his knees in front of you, between your thighs. Jimin kissed the inside of your knee, then your thigh, and the top of your thigh where it met the part of your body that yearned for him. He leaned forward and kissed your sex.
"I was dying to taste you," he whispered, letting his breath tease your skin as he slowly opened you, loving the way you glowed hot and pink at him. "You're so sweet and sexy." He ran a gentle finger through your wet opening and you lifted your hips toward him. You were so wet, so ready for him. "You're wet and hot and perfect."
He ran a finger down your center, paying attention to your breath, the way you shivered as he explored you.
He stared at you again, letting his tongue touch you, a long, juicy touch. Jimin relished the way you moaned and closed your eyes in pleasure. He repeated the movement with his tongue, lingering at the apex of the caress, where you wanted him most. He twirled his tongue over the small, tense spot, and you sighed. Then he sucked you and your hands found his hair, your fingers pulling him to you.
Jimin was dedicated to making love to you with slow, wet caresses on his kitchen table. You moved against him, showing him what you liked, where you liked it, and he gave you everything without hesitation, until you fell apart in his tongue and his hands.
As he watched you lean over the table and try to regulate your breathing, Jimin stepped back and began to undress. Removing the shirt quickly and the pants right after.
As he approached again, you reached for him, and ran your fingers along his manly shoulder, down the crook of his arm, where his muscles were rigid with the effort he made not to delay the pleasure of possessing you.
You smiled then, demonstrating that you knew how much he was holding back and showing how much you wanted him to stop doing so. Jimin couldn't resist you. He took your mouth in a deep, lingering kiss, and your hand came down to touch him, moving to caress him intensely and long. Once. Twice. And until he couldn't take it anymore. Then he took your hand and reached out to you, sliding a finger inside you, where you were wet from his mouth and your own pleasure.
He kissed you then, touching his forehead to yours as he slowly placed himself where you both wanted him, at your entrance. He penetrated you and you held your breath and then moaned with pleasure.
He backed away, then reentered in short, gentle strokes, each deeper than the last, until he reached deep, completely inside of you.
"Yes," you whispered as he bent and placed a long kiss where your neck met your shoulder. "Yes."
That was all Jimin's self-control endured. He delivered deep, sensual thrusts, and you imitated him, lifting your legs, and his name turned into a mantra on your lips, first delicate and almost imperceptible, growing to a scream of pleasure, making him wish that moment would never end.
Jimin wrapped his arm around your waist, holding you close as he pushed you with his hips, and your hands went to his shoulders, wrapping them tight as you cried out with pleasure.
At the last moment, as he struck hard and fast against you, you looked at him with desire and admiration. And it was at that moment that you exploded with pleasure, squeezing him so hard that Jimin thought he might not survive. He thrust once, twice, hard and fast and wonderful, until he felt his own pleasure coming.
Later, when he remember that moment, Jimin would be surprised to remember that he hadn't put on a condom and tried to get out of you before he came. But you held him with your legs around him.
"It's okay, I'm on the pill," you managed to speak eagernessly.
And Jimin couldn't resist another second, coming hard inside you. Filling you both with pleasure.
It took a few minutes for both of you to calm down, for your breaths to return to normal and for him to come out of you.
Trying to ignore the sound of protest that came from your lips as he left your insides, Jimin stepped aside to put on his own clothes and run for a towel to wipe you off.
You were amazed at the care he took with you. Before he could pull away to take the towel back to the bathroom, you grabbed his arm and brought him close again.
"I love you," you said, lightly kissing his lips.
Jimin smiled, but couldn't help but scowl before answering, "That's what I was so nervous to tell you today."
Those words made you intensify the kiss. And once again, you forgot about the gingerbreads on the kitchen counter as Jimin carried you, as if it weigh nothing, to his room. If everything went on differently from your planning, you probably wouldn't even go to the Christmas party.
