It was hard enough trying to figure out how this new, complicated world worked without worrying about fights. It didn't help that some members had coined a nickname for him: 'Demon of Squad 13', which just sounds like a badass thing to fight. No self-respecting member of Squad 11 would pass up the chance to brawl with a demon!

Anyways, he lets out a deep sigh of relief, happy that someone was willing to cut him some slack.

"Oh...? Sounds good t'me." Gardens, huh? Well, as long as it was a peaceful place, Kew hardly cared where they went. Even if he didn’t know a thing about nature.

"Stop, thief." His tone is as monotonous as always, but with a bit more volume to it. This is how the wild Byakuya indicates anger, or so the nature documentary voice would be saying. "Return my coat this instant, I--"

Byakuya had originally approached this man because saw the Six emblem on the back of his coat and assumed it had been stolen. Now that he'd seen the man's face... um... Okay, this is weird.

Ignoring that Orochi guy’s rude remark, Renji kept the forced smile on his face. “Oh yeah, I remember you telling me about him. Didn’t realize that you were meeting him today.” Of course that was a lie. Byakuya never told him anything about whoever this guy was. Why would he? It wasn’t something Renji had any business knowing. But, he was glad he happened upon them anyway.

He and a couple of his friends had arrived a little while ago. Renji’s eyes had immediately fallen on the dark haired man. Byakuya stuck out like a sore thumb in a dive like this place. Plus, Renji could spot his captain anywhere, if he was paying enough attention, that is. Renji hadn’t planned to talk to him at all and had actually wanted to pretend he hadn’t ever seen Byakuya there in the first place. When he saw how that man was acting and how uncomfortable Byakuya was, he felt like he had to help him somehow. That had been the only way to help him that came to his mind in such a short time. At least Byakuya didn’t seem to mind that he butted in.

Now that he had butted in though, he had to play nice, so he didn’t embarrass Byakuya in front of this man, or anyone else around them for that matter. Eyes moving to the drunk man across from them, he offered a friendly smile, “It’s nice to meet you.” He said politely.
