What gets me in Nei giorni tuoi felici is actually this very first line. Because Licida is his special sweet prince, it does not occur to Megacle that Aristeia may not be happy with Licida and might just absolutely fucking hate him. Of course it is partly just Megacle's wishful thinking, but I think it is also a very characteristic blind spot.
