Day Nine - La Cegua - I swear this was so fun, and has such a unique legend behind such a menacing lady. A challenge to combine scary with sensual, and I need to know her hair care secrets…

That's one of many re-tellings of the mythical creature from Central America known as the Cegua.
La Cegua was a very cool suggestion by one of my Patrons for Weretober! While not quite a werecreature, she is a sort of cursed shapeshifting ghost, so I'd say she counts.

Oh yes, my time to try again the Inktober challenge has come. This time I'm gonna use a list I found on a facebook group (Bestiario del Conde Fabregat: el Fanclub) about monsters and creatures from america. Let's see how many days I can achieve x'D
Loretober Day 9: Another one from Loretober, La Cegua from Central American folklore. Apparently she lures womanizing men out into dark forests and reveals her true face to scare the man or to leave them stranded in the middle of nowhere. I decided on the rotting horse skull form for her head and occasionally regret the decision to do the curly hair. Pentel brushpen, Prismacolor fine-line markers, and red Daiso brushpen on Canson mixed media.

La Cegua is a character from Central American legends, a spectral being who materializes at night on lonely roads, asking for help to take her to a nearby town. The ghost usually appears to womanizing men in the form of a very beautiful woman, which later transforms into a monster with the head of a horse.
