Oh my goodness, the swap brothers are SO cute! Can either of them speak? If yes, what were their first words?

The anon talking about Swapfell is referring to this idea that a few artists are doing. Swapfell is a Fell version of Underswap, and Fellswap is a Swap version of Underfell. (Basically Swapfell is now kkhoppang's original version.) It sounds pretty confusing, but it's more clear with visuals. (Such as blackggggum's post/158916403118.) BUT! Please do not feel pressured to accept this. The artists had made it very clear that fans should not be pressuring others to accept this idea.
((Oh! Okay, thank you for explaining it to me! <3
I’m not sure how I feel about that since I almost feel like it ruins the balance? Like before we had Undertale and Underswap with Underfell and Swapfell being the edgy versions of the two. But having Fellswap as a separate thing seems... superfluous? Though I do appreciate that, at least this way, kkhoppang’s designs will get more limelight :’D
I have always thought of the ‘canon’ Swapfell being kkhoppang’s version though since they were the original creator, so I suppose I’ll continue on with that hahaha As such, I’m content to just watch people engaging with Fellswap from the sidelines and not participating myself since it’s not quite my thing :’)
And to answer that original Anon, yes, I guess that does mean I’m more interested in Swapfell now XD Especially if it means people will be following the characterizations kkhoppang did for the characters! <3))
ladykazoo replied to your post:Is there a reason Arnick does not like Angelo?
Love that excerpt, but the question was about Arnick and Angelo.
OH GOD I CAN’T READ
@nochocolate actually streamed a run on Twitch where she killed every monster in every area but none of the bosses back in late Feb. It's not a genocide run, so Sans won't fight you. But it's still pretty creepy!
Oh really? Huh. I guess it’s not 100% new then.
I’m doing mine a little different though - nothing was killed in the ruins at all, but from Snowdin Forest on it’s just a like a genocide run. Either way, I’m seeing dialogue that I’ve never seen before so I’m interested.
It seems odd that Chara who hates humans (and probably for a good reason) would believe they'd give a monster a chance, but perhaps they were naive. I'm still leaning toward the idea that Chara did want to kill the humans rather than peacefully gather souls. They were smart and resentful of humanity after all. But you gave a respectful response, and I appreciate it. Thank you.
No problem, I’m all for speculation and theorizing. And you raised some very good points, some of which I definitely need to think further on. Perhaps Chara thought that by killing the humans in the village, they could gather the Souls needed? Who knows.
Either way, it’s been fun, so thank you too ^^
Sorry, but you missed the point of my ask. If Chara's plan was originally to take six souls peacefully, why did they take their own empty body to the village? Where humans will see them and surely attack them for holding a corpse?
Oh. Sorry.
This one is admittedly a little harder to explain away. It’s a stretch, but perhaps it was meant to be an excuse for Asriel to be on the surface? I mean, since the monsters were exiled, maybe Chara thought that Asriel would be seen as returning the body of a missing child, and therefore doing something respectable?
That would be incredibly naive of them, but then again, we don’t really know what age Chara was besides “child”. Perhaps they just simply didn’t think the humans would react that way, or at least, would react so immediately that Asriel/Chara wouldn’t be given time to explain.
Also though, it could be that once Chara felt the combined power of themselves and Asriel together, they felt that they would be strong enough to take on the humans in the village. That together, they could both take revenge on the humans that were so terrible and retrieve the Souls needed to break the barrier. It’s certainly not the most innocent of plans by any means, but I still refuse to believe that Chara simply used Asriel as a way to wreak havoc on humanity. I just don’t see them being so inherently evil.
It's a nice idea that Chara tried to protect them, but Chara's plan from the start was to kill humans: "Six, right? We just have to get six". Maybe the plan was to find dying souls, but "they were the one that picked up their own empty body" to the village. Chara isn't a fool. They had to have known humans would freak out. It's like they wanted to instigate a fight with the humans in the first place. "To use our full power". What do you think of this possibility?
It’s true that Chara wanted to get six Souls. But I actually think that somehow it’s possible to get human Souls without necessarily killing the human.
We know that the Souls persist after death - what we don’t know is how long they persist. I mean, unless the containers put the Souls in a stasis of some kind (which is entirely possible) the human Souls that Asgore collected persisted for decades.
And there’s the fact that during the pre-Asriel fight dialogue, Toriel says that Asgore could have “taken six souls peacefully from the humans” after he had one to cross the barrier with. Toriel is definitely not foolish, and she’s been around for quite some time. She seems to know that there’s a way to take human Souls without any conflict.
I think that perhaps Chara’s original plan was to retrieve six souls peacefully this way. I don’t think they set out intending for Asriel to be hurt, let alone killed. And again, Chara is no fool. They would know from the stories of the War, still relatively recent at that point, that even the strongest of monsters can’t last long against humans. Even if they did manage to take revenge on the humans who hurt them, there’d still be many others to come along and kill them.
Going by this, I genuinely think that Chara intended to take six Souls peacefully and then break the barrier. They wanted freedom for the monsters - not necessarily just vengeance on humankind. The plan just went terribly wrong.
DAMN. Good job! That was gonna be my next run after no consumables, but I honestly don't think I can do it. (It's on hold indefinitely.) So how many tries did it take to beat Asgore?
Ended up being 31 tries. It actually took me more tries to beat Asgore than Undyne the Undying.
Although, I was healing p much as soon as I was below half health during her fight, so
