Every once in a while, I'll get a message from someone to check out a band. Usually, there is no physical presence for the music, so, even if I like the music, I wouldn't post about it (I'm a stickler for the rules; there must be a physical release of some sort to garner a post).

The other day, Tommy Bazarian let me know about his band Lampland and "Get Serene", their 3rd album. This is right up my alley as it fits nicely next to Chris Cohen, J Fernandez, Jonathan Personne, and even Jacco Gardner.

Bazarian gets help from two indie heavyweights - Katie von Schleicher and Nate Mendelsohn. The Bandcamp page mentions Cohen as an influence, but also namedrops Porches, Wilco, and Beck.

Bazarian/Lampland recently relocated to Los Angeles from New York. But this was recorded in Brooklyn in early 2024. Lampland is playing in Oakland (Eli's Mile High Club) this Saturday!
