The good news is we won't get a pt 3 video about this
I think it's funny how England doesn't dub American movies/shows in their own english (?), like how both Mexico (for all hispanic countries on the continent) and Spain make their own dub versions even though we all supposedly speak spanish
Tbh, as an Argentinian all I get from watching Spain's dub is the ✨vibes✨ of what's going on
Like, native english-speaking people don't have this problem of not understanding each other?
Yk what UPSETS me
Yk how when a film is made in English but is set in another country, they often make a dub in that language
Where is the COMITTMENT
If you set a film in Ancient Rome
GIVE ME A LATIN DUB
Kudos to Latin America
Anyone who hasn’t seen the Good Omens dub in latin america, I don’t know what you are doing with your life. Not only the series gives Crowley the gayest voice in all eras, but also, SO MANY OF HIS DIALOGUES WERE CHANGED AND HIS AND AZIRAFEL’S LOVE ARC IS MORE EXPLICIT THAN EVER. You thought “You can stay at my place” was romantic? BITCH PLEASE. Latin version: “Quédate conmigo? Por favor? Si quieres?” (”Stay with me? Please? If you’d like to?”). You thought Michael Sheen’s voice was nice? HE HAS A VIBRATO IN THE LATIN VERSION AND HE CAN MELT AN ICEBERG WITH THE DEEP TONE HE HAS. You thought the “flaming sword” line was funny? Well here it’s “No teníazzzz una ezzzpada ardiente?” (which translates as “didn’t you have a flaming sword?” but in spanish that’s totally a gay flirting innuendo which only makes it more hilarious because the not-couply translation would be “no tenías una espada que llameaba?”). You thought David Tennant’s hissing was subtle yet sweet? HISSING ANNOYED SNEK 24/7 WITH THE SOFTEST BUT MOST EMOTIONAL TONE EVER. Oh and, yes, in spanish they do say “novio” (“boyfriend/lover/partner for life”) at the exact moment you guys enjoyed it. Which is a plus because all the “friend” pronouns are literally thrown out of the window. Their relationship is still subtle but, jesus christ, the FLIRTING IS NOT SUBTLE AT ALL. Crowley is a latin lover and I’m crying because it’s beautiful and so sexually confusing at the same time I’m dying EVERYONE GO LISTEN TO THE LATIN DUB BECAUSE ITS EQUAL PARTS OF HILARIOUS AND AMAZING.
Just to remind y'all that the latin dub really went off and DID THAT.
Btw, after Cas said "I love you", Dean's answer was "me too". Idc that it's just the dub, it's a big deal for me, let me have this, pls.
