Now that the new year is approaching, it’s time to look back at the Angelic Pretty print release ensemble of 2018. I wanted to pick my personal favorites from the Pink and Lavender Label releases. I didn’t include the re-releases as they have been originally released earlier than 2018. Lavender Label includes the darker colored dresses. From some of the releases it’s hard to say which label it is as there might be both pastel and darker colorways. I decided to just add the darker dresses in this post without being 100% sure if all of them are Lavender Label. I picked my favorite cut and colorway from each print release. I didn’t include the special sets.

I chose the Holy Wolf OP as the best dress of this category. It has a cute yet unique design with fresh theme. It’s almost perfect, just the wolves’s anatomy is a bit funny. The collar is something new and pretty cool. Ghost Night Bride JSK is stylish and has this modern gothic feel to it. I happen to know this is actually a pink label dress but I have no idea why so I just put it in this category anyways.   Girly Leopard OP this could have been a disaster but it’s actually pretty great and fresh! Horror Candy Shop OP , although the cheap looking ribbon on the waist, this is overall a really nice design, great collar and cuffs and the candy & toy theme is nice. Extra points for the red eyes on the toys on this colorway! Princess Rococo JSK is very elegant and all the big bows make it feel really royal. Great color harmony as well!

Now that the new year has started, it’s time to look back at the Angelic Pretty print release ensemble of 2017. I wanted to pick my personal favorites from the Pink and Lavender Label releases. I chose the Jewlery Snow JSK as the 2017 best Lavender Label piece. It’s absolutely magical and can be modified to work with different types of coords as all the bows are detachable. The sax colorway has just the right amount of contrast and the perfect snow princess vibe. The British Crown OP is a really majestic dress, it’s also longer length than the usual AP dresses so that’s a nice bonus. The collar is lovely and the big crowns in the border create a wow-factor.  Khronos Utopia OP in grey looks harmonious and the gold details of the print add a nice touch. The collar is cute and airy. British Keys OP has a solid cut & print design and the pleated hem is really nice details that reminds me of the Chocolate Rosette jsk, the queen of this style dresses. The Bon Bon Bunny OP has the cutest chocolate themed print which looks lovely in pink, red and brown tones. This would be perfect for a Valentine’s day coord!

I chose the Astro Regimen JSK as the 2016 best Lavender Label piece. I love the space theme combined with uniform style cut. The ivory colorway with baby blue accents and hint of gold looks so fresh. The cut is pretty classical pleated jsk, but it has some unique details. In the back of the dress the straps are forming a star, it’s a bit too much as this dress could have worked just as well with just the simple pleated cut. The bust area is adorable with sailor style front and little golden star charms on both sides. The waist ribbon works too! The Antique Chocolaterie Switching JSK also has very fresh and unique color: green. It reminds me of fresh mint chocolate! Chocolate prints are always lovely, but this one has some extra special antique elegance in it! The ivory panel of the bodice is very cute and the waist ribbon gives a nice final touch.  Cirque du L'Étoile JSK is one of those beautiful examples of mixing a tartan fabric with a border print. The print is very festive and has a lot going on, but the solid colors of the trim and the bodice balance the image. The horses in the print are beautiful and the pleated trimming of the hem is an adorable detail.  Princess Cat JSK is whimsical and fun and the print is really adorable with cute cats. The cut is classical and the combination of wine and black is sophisticated. The cut is simple but it works with the elaborate contrasty print. Magic Amulet cutsew OP has very interesting print; it seems to borrow symbols from different religions and cults. Overall it has a witchcrafty feeling. The op is comfy and casual with the cutsew top, but the chiffon skirt part adds some elegance. The black x blue tones are quite mysterious, bit more unique combination. The best part of the dress is the big hood, perfect for a witchy outfit!

new year, new post... new shoes!

Bought these Vera Wang Lavender label shoes from Nordstrom Rack on sale! Well they were already on sale considering it's from Nordstrom Rack, but it was an additional 50% off! So I had to have them since I've been eyeing them for awhile! I think the shoes look a lot better in person, but they're really comfortable! Well I haven't taken them out for a night out yet, but it seems to support the arch of my feet pretty well : ) We'll see how it goes! Hopefully I'm going to get back into posting more often...
