At Dread or Dead Surf School, we’ve been teaching Barbados locals and travelers for over 25 years, and every session still feels unique.
Morning: Gear Up and Get Ready
We start each day at our Dread or Dead Surf Shop in Hastings, the hub for all our Surf Camp Barbados activities. Small groups are essential to us — no more than four students per instructor — ensuring everyone receives personal attention and a safe learning environment.

There for a little while I thought I would drown in it. I've experienced a tremendous amount of loss in my life, but this one shook me in a way that I hadn't anticipated. There are daily routines built around my relationship with my mother. Every day, when that moment arises, I am still lost in the excruciating sorrow for a moment. While I may go under water with the wave of grief for a time, I am bringing myself up for air as it passes. I am healing.
