Arcturos, a Gold Half-Dragon Cavalier.

He’s a Dragoon that jumps and swings around his halberd a bit haphazardly; once one of Bahamut’s canaries, he became too vain and Bahamut struck him down and sent him to redeem himself as a human. 

(his overconfidence got his butt kicked a few too many times.... so now he’s a half-dragon. All the more fun for me to draw!)

boo - what’s your dream date?From cute nickname asks.Hmm, I don’t know that I have a dream date. At least in the sense of something unusually spectacular. I’m usually busy or tired, so I’ve never really desired impressive dates or anything ‘different’. I’m perfectly happy dating exactly the way that I am, really.  The things that make up great dates for me, are things I already enjoy doing anyway. Because you get to do more of what you like, with someone that you like. What’s not to love?I tend to start off with ‘standard’ things like coffee dates and lunch or dinner, until I get to know someone a little, but it’s much more rewarding when you can have dates that feel a bit more personal. I love seeing new things and learning something interesting and showing off some niche nerdy trivia when I get overexcited about some mollusc or something, and then go a bit nuts in the gift shop, so I love museum dates. It always generates some interesting conversation, and you feel like you get to know the other person a bit better. I’m lucky that the guy I’m seeing also likes checking out museums and galleries (either that, or the poor dude has been putting up with months of following me around half the museums in London), so I get to do a lot of fun things when we’re out together. I love walking, so a dream date might be follow it up with a stroll through a nice park on a sunny day  (with ice cream, obviously) is always a pleasant way to spend time together. I’m easily distracted by flowers and wildlife, so it’s always entertaining. Or perhaps head back home and play some games. I think it’s a great way to feel less self-conscious when you first start out dating; it gives you something to focus on (and bond over) without feeling so nervous. And of course, if you like playing games anyway, then it’s even more of a win. I tend to lose, but that’s what you get when you date a nerd who can outsmart you (or at least hold their own), but that’s kind of thrilling in its own way; no harm in a little bit of rivalry! Eating is an important part of dates; sometimes it’s nice to eat out and try something new, but I also quite like the easy intimacy of eating at home. I’m not a picky eater, so I don’t really care where I eat or what it is. I’m not a fancy restaurants kind of person; dressing up might be nice, food is nice, but I don’t really understand cutlery, and I’d rather be comfortable than feel on show. Don’t get me wrong, if I went somewhere fancy, I’d enjoy it, but that’s not what I imagine as the ‘nicest’ date. Many a date ends cuddled up on the sofa, watching something that I spent too long picking out because I am indecisive, half the fun is taking it in turns to take the mick out of whatever it is that you’re watching. Then eventually things fade to black and ...

Hey, the artist is here on tumblr. And they're like fucking twenty. Give them a break, jesus christ. Your art isn't much better. How about instead of tearing people down you do something productive. @pencilcat here ya go have fun

...that’s the colorist, bud, the line artist - the one who is doing the thing that my post is criticizing - is Mike Holmes. The colors are one of the few things about the graphic novels that actually look good. Good try, though? ...Glad you @ artists on things to make them specifically unhappy?

Anime #6

6. popular anime you didn’t likeI can’t stand the art style of One Piece or Fairy Tale. I’m an utter snob when it comes to style; if I think it looks ugly, I can’t force myself to watch it, no matter how good it is. I read, like, the whole of Bleach, but never really loved it. Perhaps marathoning the entire thing over a short period wasn’t really adviseable; it never really let me get fully into it in the way I enjoyed, say, Naruto. I got tired of Attack on Titan after a while. Kill off enough of the characters, and it’s hard to get invested and care about the other half. I’m not averse to gore, but there’s little motivation to care when things go that far. These days, I’m far more selective with what I read or watch, because I just don’t have the time to explore lots of series. I tend to wait until I hear things re good before checking them out. I’d better stop before the floodgates open.
