Bakit mahaba ang hollow sa bibig kapag nagtatanong ng BAKIT?

Naniniwala ka bang may dahilan ang mga bagay? Kung bakit ito nangyayari, kung bakit may nararamdaman ka sa mga bagay na hindi mo naman na hawak, kung bakit ka nasasaktan pero hindi dapat, kung bakit ka nagtatanong ng “bakit” at bakit hindi ka nakukuntento sa nalalaman mo?

Masaya at nakasama ko ang isang kaibigan ngayong araw. I skipped my last class because he said he wanted to take a walk. Well I did not know that it would take a while but I am not regretting it. We talked about almost anything we could think of. Nag-update lang sa mga buhay: trabaho, pag-aaral at pag-ibig. Marami na ring mga nangyari at mukhang matagal din pala kaming hindi nagkita. Habang binabagtas ng mga tao ang Fpark, kami naman ay nakaupo at nakatingin sa kawalan. Minsan napapansin ang mga taong dumadaan ngunit mas madalas nararamdaman ang nais sabihin ng aming mga isipan.

Then we took our dinner at a restaurant near the campus. We saw some familiar faces and the environment became so awkward—so awkward. My friend asked of the sudden mood swing but I just smiled back. He knew I am disturbed by what I saw and we just laughed. What a big coincidence that someone is also dining with us in the first place. He said hello and I just nodded. There are many secrets that are still waiting to be unraveled and as events progress, I am being perplexed.

After that he invited me to taste some sweet ice cream nearby. It was the taste of childhood, Stick-O strawberry flavor! I told him that we take a different route on our way home. This will mean that there will be a chance that another awkward moment may happen. As we happily savor our dessert, a striking view caught my eye. It was a blast from my past and it felt like something serious is currently transpiring. I tapped the shoulder of my friend and a new perspective arose. It seemed like my friend is also involved in the scenario. Our suspicions were intensified that we decided to spy. Yes, the mission was to confirm the identity of the person that he’s with. We gathered clues and even tried to pass by again just to see and arrive in a clear and justified conclusion. However, we were still unsure if who was that person. And if ever, we were right, why were we doing such? Is there any reason to spend our time waiting and hiding in a dark corner just to find out who was that mystery man? In the first place, I knew that “somebody that I used to know” has someone special already. At last their date came to an end and the final confirmation would be the destination of that mystery man. I was shocked by what we saw. We were right. And it felt like our spirits were floating and the grins on our faces substantiate our acts. And my friend just said that he’s happy that someone is moving on.

Until now, I am still thinking of the possibilities. And I just cannot help but smile for what would be the next thing to happen.
