If its just for the National dex collection, you're free to have the pokemon from any region. ^^

i’ve been going in order by the region dexes first, then leaping into the National one to fill in the gaps.
((also if anyone wants to trade-back a politoed with me for the dex entry i’d super appreciate it bc i used my king’s rock for slowking))
In case you haven't found the answer yet: your pokemon all need to be from Kalos to receive the crown.
