Leidenfrost Stars are a phenomena caused by the Leidenfrost Effect.

The bottom of a water droplet nearest to a hot surface boils off so fast, that a layer, or, more so barrier of water vapor forms underneath the entire droplet, thus causing the drop to hover.

The stars form when gas pressure from the water vapor begins to oscillate outward from the droplet in a wave (Faraday Instability).

summary: Polaris finds a peculiar sight while on his nightly patrol-- a single car frosted over despite the rather mild night. He goes to investigate and finds a less than friendly man living inside. They talk, or Polaris talks and Leidenfrost just wishes for him to leave. Despite Polaris offering him help or support, he just angrily turns him down until ultimately just ignoring him. When they part, Gabe leaves feeling determined to help Leidenfrost, and Leiden feels oddly concerned about Gabe’s wellbeing.

Summary: When a blizzard suddenly breaks out in a quiet neighborhood, Anthen takes it as his chance to try out his new powers as Quasar. The source of the storm ends up being a single man with an unknown vendetta against some of the residents. Anthen faces him to put an end to the reckless destruction, but he's met with a fight.
