No dark energy here, it’s pure Electric we’re looking at. Wanted to show off Leiyun’s energy manifestation through a colored sketch that I skipped the cleanup step out of sheer laziness.

The problem: Wrath was too busy drawing funny cat and mouse fan art to draw his OCs.

The solution: Get them to draw themselves.

Results varied greatly.

Some old Leiyun drawings

More old concepts! Leiyun’s design process wasn’t so easy like the others, to the point it’s still getting updated now, but it’s the pursuit for perfection that is part of the journey. I wanted an owl character, but didn’t really pick up a particular species until I happened upon the buffy fish owl (which is a bird that actually exists here, fun fact!) and then his physical appearance fell into place... As always, more under the cut.

All early iterations of him were done on paper, and there were several pages in a row of me trying different shapes for different parts of his armor but it’s too segmented for me to bother putting them properly.

It was this one that made me think I hit upon something.

Once I started considering digital drawings, I remembered that I was supposed to avoid overly complicated armour... so it was nerf time, but this is a character that prefers to wear it.

Most of the work ended up being “finalised” here... but now it’s still getting updated.
