Liesel meandered down the lonely rode, humming softly to herself as she balanced Mamma’s washing on one hip and pondered the ending of the book she was currently reading with Papa. The rode lead her through a peaceful piece of woods, just outside of town. She couldn’t think of many lovelier ways to spend her time.

Out of nowhere, a rock flew into her basket, startling Liesel out of her stupor. She felt her heartbeat quickening, her mind instantly racing through all the dreadful possibilities. Was she in trouble? Had they come for Max?

She looked down at the basket. Of course not. Only a dummkopf would throw a pebble at someone they were trying to attack . But she did know a certain saukarl who would try a trick like this. She narrowed her eyes, spinning around quickly in attempt to catch the boy in the act.

         Quidditch.          Slytherin versus Gryffindor.          The upcoming GREATEST match of the century.

         Roslin tried to stifle an amused giggle as a horde of eager first-years          charged past on their way to the pitch, proudly supporting the colours          of their respective Houses. It was to be no surprise that most in the          crowd would be supporting Gryffindor. As she had noticed, most          tended to side with those who treated them with more kindness. 

         Even some Hufflepuffs had donned a little red to mix with some yellow          in a show of their support. Roslin however, had chosen sweet neutrality.          She had never been interested in taking sides. All it had ever truly          gained anyone was more pain then it was worth.

        “Oh god, I’m so sorry!” She exclaimed suddenly when she crashed          into a blond-haired Gryffindor on the way to the game. She managed          to keep her balance but quickly checked for his own safety, fearing          the worst. “I wasn’t watching where I was going! Are you okay?”

         Her yellow Hufflepuff scarf billowed almost carelessly in the wind.
