the bar is just the way he likes it: not too crowded, but not so empty that he’s noticeable. he can exist and take his pick of who to watch, and tonight, the object of his attentions is sitting at the bar looking out of place among the others. she’s a beautiful woman, with dark hair and striking eyes, and he’s drawn to her as a potential warm body and neck to spend the night beside. he used to be human, after all. it’s always more fun to feed on the pretty ones; there’s a seduction involved, a chase and a challenge in charming them instead of simply using mesmer to compel some workman with large, dirty hands into the alley for a quick feeding.
his body is lean and graceful as he slides into the seat beside her, putting on his best charming smile that didn’t go so far as to ruin the mystery about a tall, dark stranger alone in a bar. “ i’m leon. and i was wondering if i could buy you a drink, since you looked awfully thirsty up here alone with the bowl of peanuts. “ but she’s not the only one with an ache in her throat. she smells lovely up close, and it’s been a few days since his last drink. he’s careful not to show too much of his teeth as he speaks when he feels the sharp points of his fangs against his bottom lip.
