The most anticipated horse of the sale did not disappoint. Mandy Pope won a bidding war with Coolmore to take home this daughter of Leslie’s Lady and American Pharoah. 

Leslie’s Lady is also the dam of 4-time champion Beholder, globe-trotting G1 winner Mendelssohn, and Into Mischief a G1 winner and top sire. Her other foals weren’t as successful on the track, but her daughters Judy B, Daisy Mason and Victory Party all went on to produce stakes horses.

Watching This lovely filly sell so high just makes me think of her half-brother by Medaglia d’Oro. No one was willing to go above $60k for him at this sale last year, but his sister sells for a record $8.2million.

Hip #120 at Keeneland got a lot of pre-sale hype, but his final price was a total shocker - he RNA’d at just $60,000. 

This colt has the most royal of pedigrees - his sire is Medaglia d’Oro and his dam is Leslie’s Lady, making him a half-brother to Beholder, Mendelssohn, and Into Mischief.

He must’ve had a terrible vet report.

How cool that both Leslie’s Lady and Win Approval got their second Breeders’ Cup winners this year.

Leslie’s Lady has Beholder & Mendelssohn. Win Approval has Miesque’s Approval and World Approval.

She hasn’t run yet, but this 3yo filly has a pretty royal pedigree. Her sire is the classic sire on a hot-streak, Curlin, and her dam is the important mare, Leslie’s Lady.

(2009) Florida Holiday - ran 6 times, never better than 3rd against maidens
