Once upon a time, Natasha would have considered crying a weakness. A blatant display of emotion that had no place in her line of work. It had been a long time since she’d believed that and refused to allow herself to feel. She had suffered so much loss in her life, though she was hardly the only one, and she grieved for those around her. Those who had lost just as much if not more than she had. When the incursion had happened Natasha had thought she was alone until she found Carol. Whether it was the Carol from her universe or another, she didn’t care. It was still Carol. The same woman whom she cared deeply for. 

So she allowed herself to cry as Carol’s arms wrapped around her from behind as they lie in a small bed together. Natasha’s hands clasped the ones locked together at her stomach and wept softly.
