hey what about a magic au where easy isn't all wizards so dick's a muggle and nix is a wizard and they all try to keep it from dick but nix messes up in bastogne when he shows up with a full flask after complaining about it being empty the day before and with like, 4 chocolate bars for dick and dick's like "where on earth did you get these? and wasn't your flask empty?" and nix is like "oh shit" and that's how their cover gets blown

its prob really hard to keep it from him at all bc a) hes the captain and even though theyre the best of the best sometimes things happen that are a little too coincidental or a little too perfectly timed and its kinda hard to explain, and b) its dick, hes so great and nice and they all feel pretty guilty hiding something like this from him.

he’s surprisingly okay about it, like they know winters is a pretty cool understanding guy but this is something youd expect a little shock and maybe even horror about. but he just sits there like ‘so. you can do magic, is that right? i see, and how many others do you know who can do the same? alright, well, we should probably have a company talk about this, then’ and they do just that, and he lays down some ground rules and figures out what the guys have been doing and what charms are already in place and things admittedly start making a little bit more sense
