The 2015 Tokyo Motor Show 2015 saw the Lexus LF-FC Concept make its entrance, a design meant to allow us to take a look into the car manufacturer’s future. The concept features an eye-catching design alongside some futuristic technologies. with the Lexus LF-FC featuring the Japanese marque’s latest automated driving technologies, including traffic environment recognition software, prediction and judgement.

Powering the Lexus LF-LC is a high output fuel cell powertrain, which seems to be driving the rear wheels. However, no one knows for sure at this moment what the specs sheet looks like. What’s known is that the fuel cell was connected two in-wheel motors that power the front wheels, which translates into an all-wheel drive vehicle.

Considering the intelligent torque distribution across all four wheels, as well as optimized weight distribution which includes the power control unit being located at the front, the fuel-cell stack at the rear and the hydrogen fuel tanks at the center of the concept, this should prove to be one hell of a car to drive.

On an aesthetic level, you’ll find no critics here. Key design elements include the prominent spindle grille, with a polished chrome outer and black mesh, HID headlights, and carbon fiber 21-inch wheels with aluminum spokes. This menacing looking concept is just what the doctor ordered. The cabin, however, shows off white and brown leather, four bucket seats as well as various wooden and metal accents. Please note the gesture control technology and floating holographic display. Who needs time travel anymore?
