maybe a bit niche, but i love a good useless sneezing fit.
i love a sneezing fit that just does absolutely nothing for you, whether because you're not letting it, or because it doesn't tickle enough to actually get you to sneeze out whatever it is.
a quiet fit of girly "choo!"s that does nothing to clear the dust from your nose. a stifled fit between thumb and forefinger that doesn't clear any of the pollen. a tired, half-hearted fit that barely makes your nose run through the congestion of your cold.
the kind of thing where you sneeze for a solid 30 seconds and immediately go back to sniffling and hitching again, only to explode in another unproductive fit 30 minutes later.
it's just not helping. you need to tickle some bigger sneezes out if you want that to change

inducing someone, tickling around in their nose, and suddenly you find a spot that works so well it genuinely surprises them. previously, they were mostly just indulging you, entertaining your fantasies, but not really confident they would sneeze, let alone that you'd be able to make them sneeze consistently.
well well well, look who's left stunned, on autopilot as you tickle sneeze after desperate sneeze out of them, constantly breaking off in their own confused rambles attempting to express their confusion to hitch up and up and-oh, bless you again.
"Need a tissue?"

maybe a bit niche, but there is an appreciable difference between tickling a nose with a feather, and tickling inside a nose with a feather.
in this case, i actually find tickling on the edges and outside of the nose to be hotter when it elicits a heavy reaction. gosh, your nose is so sensitive! this biiiiig fluffy feather brushing up against it so gingerly...it's just the bare edge of your nostrils, and you've already got to sneeze this bad? oh honey...your poor little nose is sooo helpless...

love it when someone is annoyed by sneezing. like aww you look so pissed off rn. you embarrassed that you can't stop, that everyone can see it? and you just can't help but hitch up and up and just sneeze and sneeze every time? your face going from enraged, aggravated, rolling your eyes in frustration, and then each time, slowly melting into desperation, as your eyes narrow, your eyebrows go slack, your nostrils flare as you feel the tickle, tickle, tickle, you try to control your breathing, failing, until finally--oh, there you go again!
be the change you want to see in the world. give your characters a sick episode.
red noses are so so good.
the thing about red noses is that they usually aren't directly caused by your nose being tickly, or snotty, or sneezy. the reason your nose reddens when you have a cold, or bad allergies, or anything like that is generally because you're constantly rubbing it and blowing your nose.
it's not the effect itself. it's the implication.
it's the implication that you've been sneezing, blowing your nose. the implication that your nose is more sensitive right now. there's a million and one reasons for it.
the reddening is just an after effect, but it is notable, and does elicit the thought "oh, their poor nose"
