In knowledge we trust
In wisdom we pruse
In logic we act
It took me forever to learn how to love myself. Hell, it took me forever to only understand what it really means. And all of you little motherfuckers who broke my heart formed a stone on my way to where I am now. They say you always have a choice to learn through love or through pain. Results, as the little storm that I am, that I used to choose to learn through pain. That’s why I say thank you to all you assholes, since you’ve all been a mirror to my soul that made me confront myself and grow. I feel I am at a good place today, proud of myself, taking care of myself, growing, learning, and enjoying every step of it.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank my high school color guard and winter guard team, as well as the band as the staff of all three for all they have done for me. Entering high school was a really rough time for me, and throughout my four years there I faced a TON of bullshit. But both my teams, the band, AND the staff were there to support me and help me through everything. Yeah, there was definitely some drama, but in the end we all came out of it together and I could never be more thankful for that.
Thank you high school band class, for making me who I am today and teaching me so many lessons that I will need as I continue this adventure called life.
Some things take going through certain experiences before you gain knowledge.
“You don’t understand it right now, but you will.” Doesn’t mean you’re stupid, or lacking the ability to function properly.
It just means that you’re not ready to grasp a certain perspective at this very moment. In time, you will. But certain circumstances have to take place first.
