Something else that has been highlighted to me in the past 2 weeks is that the right are always very quick to blame the left whenever someone gets shot, saying shit like "he was radicalized by the left when he went to college" or "see? its the left who are violent, not us!", and conveniently leaving out that 9 times out of 10, the shooter was born and raised in a far right, ultra conservative christian, maga cult household, with very early access to guns and white supremacist ideology. Bonus points if there's a military of police connection somewhere in the immediate family.

These people didn't learn the level of violence it takes to murder someone (or multiple people) after just 2 months at college - they were indoctrinated into it since birth, and spent their entire lives surrounded by it right up until they they were finally able to get outside of that echo chamber.

College isn't teaching these angry white men to murder people - they learnt that at home.
