Home on the brain. I love the trees, cliffs, choppy water and patches of good light that you get during poor weather on South Coast beaches.
As we always said at the newspaper: No such thing as bad weather.
At Lilli Pilli Beach, NSW.

31 March 2025 ~ Magenta Lillipilli
A spontaneous post just to show the little cuties I collected this new moon.
Lillipillies taste kinda like green grapes, but with the crispiness of water chestnuts. Transports me straight back to childhood in the 90s. They have little pinkish pits in the middle - some of which I'm already drying.
I also brought up a little rosemary to dry. These are fresh shoots that grew after the Summer clipping.
But there were so many weirdos and creeps out during this new moon. I say that, after stealthily harvesting tiny fruits in the dark at midnight during a gale and whispering thanks to the tree like a normal person.

It's been some time!
And it's been the time of my life. I'm living in the most beautiful house, in a nature reserve, just a 10 minute cycle ride from Byron town and beaches. And The Byron Bay Brewery, my favourite Thursday night spot :) Yes I got a bike. I also got a hula hoop. Last week, I won a Skateboard. Hang on this is just getting Much. Too. Byron... I'm working almost full time in a Juice Bar. Love it and hate it, every job has it's downsides...as much as I enjoy my alarm going off at 4.15am. I cannot complain because it's keeping me here in paradise. I couldn't ask for better housemates...eclectic mix of British, Kiwi and Aussie :) I turned 23 last weekend and, thanks to them, I won't be forgetting that Birthday, and nor will my cracked rib... I will be back writing in full force as THE INTERNETS have arrived in the house at long last, but, for tonight, I have to be up in little more than 5 hours, ready for a 13 HOUR SHIFT. Sweet dreaming :)
