wham bam, new chap’s done
Summary:
Featuring: glimpses of Dave jrn. and Holo!Lister, the USA reboot crew being attacked by a Polymorph, talk of Ace, and a Lismer kiss.
Arthur Lismer (1885-1969) was born in Sheffield, England. He attended art school there and worked as a commercial artist before moving to Canada in 1911. He began working at Grip Limited, a Toronto art firm that also employed Tom Thomson, J.E.H. MacDonald, Franklin Carmichael. A charter member of the Group of Seven, Lismer traveled widely from Georgian Bay, Algonquin Park, Algoma, Lake Superior, Eastern Canada, and the Rockies to capture the Canadian landscape in painting and drawing.
Lismer was known for his wit and sense of humour. His paintings are rugged, energetic and impressionistic compositions, but he also often drew quick, caricatures of his friends, colleagues, and critics. This sketch comes from the same collection as the pieces by William Wood in our current auction and we think it might be a portrait of Wood. The two were good friends and supported each other throughout their careers (we talked about William J. Wood yesterday, in case you missed it).

Where is Waldo?
After some tim in India, our awareness towards indian clothing was getting higher and higher. The "Lismer", a knitted vest out of cotton or polyester stuff is spread among the idian people during winter times in enormous amounts. From a game who can count more Lismer out of the car while driving along the streets we got more and more attached to them and we felt the need to blend in. Well. As good as we could.
And that's us: The Lismer Crew.
Matthias Grob
Manuela Gyr

and me.
Yes.. I know what that reminds you of. And we had the same thoughts. Therefore we went around in Varanasi, where we were at that time and took some "Where is Waldo?" - Shots. For the ones of you who don't know that guy.. well.. That's kind of sad. So: You gotta find the guys in the picture. Let's start with an easy one. So you get the idea.
Found me? Perfect.. Well it wasn't too hard anyway. You'll also have to search for Manuela and Dominik in some of the pictures. Matthias took the shots. So he's unfortunately not in them.
So have fun and enjoy the incredible setting of Varanasi
Hope you enjoyed it. cya
