Hi! I saw your svsss art and your style seemed familiar and nostalgic. It reminded me of a comic I used to read in 2016ish(?). It was a big favorite, but lost track of it when it was no longer listed on hiveworks. I looked for it a few times since, but "magic theory + circles" got me nowhere.
Scrolling through your blog, I found it - Sfeer theory!! It's so gratifying to find it again. I reread it immediately. It's a great story with complex worldbuilding. Your art style is wonderful! It feels so nuanced and intentional. There's this flow to your comics, across the panels. Characters are so expressive and real. And it's distinctive enough for me to recognize after all this time, wow!
So, I guess I'm saying, thanks!! Love your art and ty for sharing it. I'm very glad to have seen it :)
Gosh what a wonderful message to find in my inbox! Glad you found the comic again and that it still stands strong to you.
A lot of our projects (Sfeer Theory def top of the list) has been under an unofficial hiatus for a while now since roughly 2020. My father passed at the start of the lockdown. and it had a pretty big impact on my life as it served as a catalyst to completely re-examine and re-evaluate how I work and the way I create. There were other very major upheavels happened since then which only reinforced how important it was that I focus on myself.
My evolution has centered on what kind of artistic journey I want to actually have rather than be compelled to burn myself out surviving. Nearly 4 years later, I've really completely restructured my life for the better. I'm healthier, both physically and mentally, and as a result my art also has been better for it. At the moment I'm solely focused on getting back to my grind with better grounding under my feet.
I think of Sfeer Theory every day and in fact have started working on pages again since the late spring of this year, but I don't want to make promises about when updates will start again. I just feel I owe some kind of explanation to waiting fans.
Sfeer Theory is a story I absolutely will see through to finishing, I just needed to figure myself out. Please look forward to it starting up again sooner than later.

I had the pleasure of being commissioned to do an illustration for @littlefoolery‘s incredible Song of the Bull Rider!
If you haven’t read it yet oh gosh give it a read. It’s an absolutely stunning, moving and gorgeously written and told novel. Kanan and Parnach own my whole heart!!
Read Song of the Bull Rider Here
A bit of a delayed posting on my part but I’m incredibly stoked to show off my contribution to the 10th Anniversary of Little Foolery. My illustration was for the story Naomi and the Dream Eater an absolutley delightful tale about witches and familiars! Both Chira and @thelastdogfighter are incredibly talented and their stories bring me so much joy and inspiration. Thank you for #10LittleYears
For the whole line up of incredible artists who participated in this project, please check out the official anniversary page here!
“Your name’s Libertus. You fight for whoever wants you.”
i am beyond honoured to have been part of @littlefoolery‘s 10th anniversary event as the illustrator for Libertus Rubedo! Alex and Jayd have been creating the most wonderful magic for a full decade now, and I consider myself blessed to be able to witness it, let alone be part of it. (no joke, every time i work with them i feel like i’m fully part of a sports anime about TEAMWORK and SELF-IMPROVEMENT.)
please check out the story this is based on – it is a fantasy adventure/romance inspired by video game summon monsters, serialised for free online; Alex’s words and Jayd’s artworks combine to be an inspiration and an absolute treat. also take the time to explore the rest of the anniversary event gallery, every single illustration in there is better than mine and it will be the best thing you’ll see today.
thank you for 10 little years; here’s to 10 more!
[alt: a digital painting of two figures in a dark, smoky town. a fair man with a mighty cloud of blond hair, a unicorn horn, and a fastidious expression stands nervously next to a much taller, steadfast-looking red-skinned japanese ogre with a club slung over one broad shoulder and a patient look on his face. below them, the ground shatters and two more figures are reflected: the same ogre, now in a more monstrous form and dressed in battle regalia, with an armoured unicorn poised behind him as his steed. the unicorn has the same horn and dramatic froth of blond hair as the fair man from above.]
Shiptember2018, Day 13 - Lesley & Daiki from @chirart and @thelastdogfighter’s online serial, “Libertus Rubedo”! 🦄❤️👹
It’s not like he likes you or anything, Daiki, you baka
(In case it wasn’t obvious, I adore couples who carry each other bridal style. XD)
If you have a little time you should read Naomi and the Dream Eater, forever one of my favourite short stories.
