One is confusion as to how this could possibly have happened, because it’s not like he’s a very big person, and the second is concern for the boy. He decides to forego the former--for now, at least--to focus on the latter. Any sort of upset for the table does not occur. “Are you okay?”

   Short answer: none. She's an archaeologist, not a paleontologist, and had the question come from anyone else they would have received the oft-recited 'definition of archaeology for idiots'. But this is her son who's asking, her young son who's gazing up at her with eyes filled with equal parts excitement and adoration, and she can't find it in herself to disappoint him.

   "Not many sweetheart - there aren't many dinosaur bones around, so it's very special if you find any." Especially on planets like this one, which to her knowledge has never been home to any dinosaurs at all, whether living or dead.
