I'm starting this off without any real motive...I just know that I felt like writing. I felt like spilling my thoughts out to you, whoever is reading this. I've realized over the past week or so that I've become a version of myself that I never really thought I'd be. I became numb to the world. I stopped caring about what was really important and was kind of just floating through life. Have you ever felt that way? Have you ever felt as if you weren't really doing anything in your life and that you were just floating on by? Like nothing you did mattered and maybe no one would even be affected if you were to disappear. That's who I was becoming over the past few months. Just a shadow. Just a person in the background. Not really significant or important. I almost lost myself over the past year because I got caught up with the wrong people. I let my heart lead me where I initially never wanted to be. But lately, I've been coming back to myself and the person I want to be. I have to admit that it is such a struggle. I constantly feel as if I don't belong and that I'm meant to be somewhere else. Perhaps in a different era or just a different place. I feel as if I annoy or burden people, and I don't want to feel that way anymore. I don't want to feel so negative about myself. This is why I bury myself in books, movies, and television shows...because I want to escape reality. But I'm promising myself to make my reality better than the things I dream about. I just need a little help along the way...

There’s no denying that the world is full of cruel, evil people capable of things you probably couldn’t even imagine. We see it on the news pretty much every day.
But believe it or not, there’s a lot more good and kindness out there than you probably realize. Sometimes, people do incredible things – things that restore our faith in humanity.
Hi! My name is Nicole and I am 22. I go to school in Maine and am majoring in Marine Biology. I have spent the past few years working at a marine rehabilitation center for seals, turtles, and porpoises and have fallen even more in love with the ocean and its creatures. I don't really know where I am going after I graduate yet, but hopefully somewhere where I can continue to help the marine environment.
A few years ago I started to become aware of all sorts of questions about the purpose of life and the workings of the universe. My real journey though started a few months ago, when in one night, I was with one of my closest friends and everything just kind of fell into place. It was like the universe was telling me that I was finally ready to go on this spiritual journey. Since then I have allowed myself to open up and believe in things that society often tells is wrong, and I have been in complete awe of the energy and possibilities that the universe contains. My journey so far has been overwhelming and scary at times but it has also been exciting and wonderful. There have been numerous ups and downs but I know without a doubt that I am on the path that I am meant to be on.
I am so grateful to be part of a blog run by such wonderful girls. They are the kind of people that give me hope for the future. I don't know where I would be without these amazing people in my life. We might all be very different people with very different stories, but we all came together because we want to help others, change the world, and learn about ourselves and the universe in the process. We are here to encourage one another, give each other advice, and continue to remind each other of the beauty of the world.
We are not put on this planet to walk alone. Life isn't about journeying along a straight path, but instead making a path that intersects countless others. Life is all about the connections you make along the way. So if you ever feel lost or confused, remember you aren't alone in this journey. Remember to keep the faith. Keep the faith in yourself, in the world, in anything that you believe in.
Hey everyone, I'm Katie and I'm currently residing in the wonderful city of Portland, Maine. I'm 21 and love capturing life's beauty through a camera lens. I recently finished three years of college only to realize that it wasn't where i was meant to be at this point in my life, and that in turn is where my real journey began.
I've spent years asking myself questions that i never thought i would or could get answers to. Why am i here? Who am i? Am i really only here to live the life society says is right? Why do we even exist? What's the point of.. anything at all? Why is there so much suffering? If there any way to end it? Years of asking and it wasn't until several months ago that i shared an experience with one of my closest friends that changed my life forever. That experience started me on my spiritual journey and since then i haven't stopped. Once your eyes are opened to the possibilities of this universe, there's no way to ever see things the way you once did. The world you knew disappears and world full of infinite hope unravels right before your eyes. All i've ever wanted out of this life is to ease the suffering of others, and this journey has helped me see that before i can help anyone else, i first need to help myself.
The seven other wonderful souls that are a part of this blog are all from different aspects of my life. Each of them i met at different times, in different places, under different circumstances, and have had different relationships with, but all of them have become key in my journey to know myself. Each of them has taught me so much about myself, simply by being themselves. We are a reflection of the world around us, therefore we see a part of ourselves in everyone we meet and everyone we meet has a lesson to teach us. One text message is what brought these 7 people into each others lives, and since then the energy we've created is undeniable. These 7 people have shown me that the connections we've all found in each other are the same connections that have the potential to change our entire world. We may all look at life in our own way, but when it comes down to it we all want change.
My journey is my own, as yours is your own, but at the core of everything we're all in this together and that my friends is the idea that's going to change everything.
We are the change we want to see

lol, I love iron man/tony stark. (even with the doucheyness)
You're entitled to your opinion :) as am I. I just never liked the idea that Stan Lee presented a character that you were supposed to initially hate then learn to like.
