Our last guest we have to show off is merch artist Liz Schmidt!

Liz has made two adorably spooky merch items for this year's project, including this year's keychain! We can't wait to share what she's been working on! Prompt: Adrian sneaking up on Liz to stuff a snowball down her shirt and then regretting it.

Def not gonna be a few sentences. Plus I’m on mobile so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk how good it’ll be.

It was cold outside, jeez it was cold. No matter how many layers Liz had on it seemed like the cold constantly bit her skin and she hated it. She hated waiting for Adrian too. Well… She didn’t HATE it. She was just impatient. She kicked the snow off her shoes and rubbed her arms and watched the steam leave her mouth. She sighed and looked around, just about to turn around when someone pressed their lips to hers and…

Shoved. A snowball…. down her shirt. She gasped and pushed them off of her, recognizing Adrian’s stupid laugh and his dumb, cocky smile. Liz pulled what amount of still solid snow out of her shirt and stared at Adrian.

“Hey babe…” He mumbled, hands in his pockets, grin on his face. Liz shuddered as the cold ran down her stomach. Adrian’s smile faded as he saw that determined look roll across her face. “Sorry?” Liz easily tackled him, straddling him and holding his arms down with her hands. “Kinky~” Adrian rose his eyebrow and snickered, Liz rolling her eyes and grabbing some snow and covering his face in it.

“You need too cool down a little bit, Mr. Hothead.” Liz cackled evilly as she unzipped and stuffed snow his jacket before zipping it back up. “Packed tight…” She leaned back and rose her eyebrow. “You look sexy… so buff.” Adrian shuddered under the cold and puckered his lips.

“I’d say a titanic joke but I can’t think of any… so can you give me a kiss?”

“Wha–? After you attacked me? And I kicked your ass?” She clicked her tongue and crossed her arms. “You should kiss me, Mr. Rivers.” In the blink of an eye, Adrian had Liz pinned in the snow, and his cold as hell lips on her.

Fun facts about my OCs

Timeskips

Below the cut is something that I’ve been dying to post forever. I love timeskips and I love seeing how my OCs evolve through the years. This is about 6+ years from the current events of my story and is on the cusp of the major events and finale,  aaaayyy… and a lot has happened to my precious brain children. A lot of it is good, some not so good, but they have changed. And though it may not seem like the best change, it will help in the future, and is pivotal. May add more

Rei: Around 35 years in appearance (was 29)

Appearance: a little bit worse for wear, looks a bit older (it’s been like 6+ years and for 5 of those years she was tortured by the infected). She’s a full shinigami now, so any more aging has stopped. Her hair is cut extra short, in a pixie cut that accentuates her features rather well. Her pinky finger is gone. She has a massive scar on her neck and her right forearm. Her left arm and leg have burn marks from the time she was missing. Her stomach tattoo has been removed, she didn’t want it anymore because the part of her that got the tattoo is dead. She’s still a little too thin, but plumps up easily because Jo makes her eat and Nami takes care of her. Her uniform is a bit more modest now as she’s grown up. It consists of tight sleeves that cut off at her elbow, which she asked for to hide the scars, and her shirt covers her stomach now, still being open at the chest for her special friend *wink wink Ake*. When she’s on a mission or in public, she has a black thermal on underneath her uniform and it covers her neck, like a turtle neck, once again to hide her scars. Her bottoms are a pair of tight pants that cut off at the ankle because she rolls them up and her shoes are a pair of black flats that are tightly strapped to her leg.

Personality: She’s a person who cries a lot more, has sunk deeper into her depression from what she was forced to go through. Seriously traumatized from those events, has severe PTSD. But, she is still the blunt little turd because she’s pretty good at hiding all of that. She’s a little more quiet now and more willing to listen to what people say and take their advice at face value. She thinks more about her words and how they could offend or hurt someone, so she isn’t as harsh. But she will still tell you exactly what she thinks and why she thinks that because it wouldn’t be right to lie to you. When she is getting severe anxiety she generally tends to play her piano and will do so for hours. Her hand get seriously blistered from it and she usually just deals with it. She still smiles, she still loves, she still bakes because it’s her passion, but she just has a lot more to work through, which she will.

Juno: Around 35 in appearance (but is old as shit, she’s just immortal lol)

Appearance: she’s now blind so her eyes went from the mix of blue and green to a dull, dead grey. Her pupils have even become grey. She has burn marks around her eyes because it was a chemical burn that caused her to become blind. She’s gotten a bit more muscular. Not exaggerated, but she works out regularly with her trainer and Rae. Her hair is now up in a bun, braided back with multiple loose pieces, no more bangs. Her uniform has much more added to it, as she’s risen in her division and is being groomed for Captaincy and her lieutenant’s badge is tied around her thigh. Her uniform no longer has sleeves or cuts low. It goes up around her neck and still fits nicely on her body. She does not have a hood, despite the fact that she has been told multiple times by Rei that she should because she’d be a literal Grim Reaper than. Her skin has grown slightly more pale over the years due to the infection on her back. It has grown past her back and now reaches over her shoulders and around her waist, glowing brightly when it’s dark. Has dark circles under her eyes from lack of sleep and the attacks from her sickness. Hopefully has a ring around her left finger ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Personality: A little more battle weary, a little less quiet. She does not let people talk over her anymore and is not pushed around. Juno has evolved from quiet little girl who joked and never saw true war to someone who’s seen too much, suffered too much and is determined to make sure no one else ever has to go through what she has. She’s a natural born leader. Her humor has gotten even more terrible after the loss of her eyes. She has a bigger capacity for love after she solved things with her family (with Damien at least). She definitely has become more of a romantic, and grown more intimate with Rae. She also is comfortable walking around her house naked because her confidence has hella grown with her promotion and all the things that have happened. She ignores her sickness and is often in denial of it because she refuses to die from it. She only acknowledges it when she ends up in the hospital or has her regular check up. She doesn’t really let it slow her down, even though the headaches are constant and the coughing fits usually result in blood.

Nami: Around 45 in appearance (she still ages like a human, because she is one)

Appearance: Her hair is greying because of the stress of looking for her baby sister for four years then leaving the Soul Society with Hadley because they tried to stop her efforts. Her hair is still hella short in a pompadour with a single grey streak running through it. She definitely has buffed up over the past years and is total babe with abs unf (she buffed up to cope with the loss of Rei and the fact she she, herself, was tortured and starved). She wears regular clothes now, a simple hoodie with yogas and high top converse because this lady has style. Nami has lost full hearing in her right ear due to a fight with exiled shinigami hunters. A bit of her skin on her back has been scarred from gaining her bankai. It is a scar that occurs when you're struck by lightening and it ripples down to her back.

Personality: She is seriously a different woman. More mature, more caring, more open. She runs a group of shinigami outlaws in one of the outlying cities out of my Soul World and at first they're all a bunch of delinquents and shitty assholes but she shapes them up, they even call her their mom which Nami cries about because she never thought she’d be a good mom. She definitely lets her feelings out because she isn’t around a bunch of bloodthirsty eleventh officers any more and she is the sweetest thing out there. She still searches for her sister and often times cries because she misses her so much and never got to appreciate her in the way she deserved. She definitely is still a hard ass though, when training her kids.

Liz: Around 30 in appearance (she’s a baby, Nami always calls her a baby, despite the fact that she’s hella smart and hundreds of years older)

Appearance: She had all her hair shaved off in a bout of anger and now it’s about at the ends of her ears in a little bob. She usually tucks what strands of hair she can behind her ears. Generally she puts half of it up when she’s working. Her right hand is covered in the infection, so she wears a glove to hide it. Her uniform has changed, now becoming more comfortable. She usually wears a sweater over the top of it. Her shirt is a simple long sleeved shirt that she generally rolls up. Her uniform top is now open more and her upper chest is wrapped in bandaging (again, to hide more infection). She’s always been a thick woman but she’s now more of a toned thick. Her eyesight has become worse because she refused to wear her glasses for a short amount of time. She has a tattoo, on the outside of her thigh and some of the elements to spell K E E P Ca L M  A Nd  D O  Sc I E N Ce.

Personality: She has pretty much become obsessed with her work and finding a cure. She promised Juno she’d have one three years ago and it really bothers her that she doesn’t already. Especially with the disappearance of her Sasaki sister duo support group, she’s found herself without a loss of motivation. Not to mention the fact that she has it. And the woman she blinded has it. And the entire Soul World is counting on her. She’s feeling the pressure guys and she’s become a little ball of stress and explosive anger episodes. Taking care of herself is essentially nonexistent because she has to focus on saving everyone, even if that means she dies while doing so. She’s less shy, definitely butts heads with her lieutenant more often because he keeps trying to stop her efforts (she’s suspish he’s fraternizing with the enemy). She still has her down moments, but it’s usually writing in a journal about ideas for a cure while she’s out of dinner or watching a movie with Adrian or a friend.

James: Around 39 in appearance (beardy dude)

Appearance: His hair is back to its natural red, he has forgotten to dye it and just let it do its thing. It’s in more of a pushed back and dropped to the side look with a beard to match. Scruffy dude. In the center of his chest he has a massive scar from his sister. He has smile wrinkles though, because of Koko. She always has him smiling, which thank god because he would go crazy without her. He still takes care of himself, still in shape, still relatively healthy. He tries to eat well. He has a tattoo over his heart that is Koko’s name. He got it after everything happened with his sister and when shit is rough and he can’t see his girlfriend he just places his hand over the tattoo and it’s pretty soothing to him. His uniform is now sleeveless, still open, but sleeveless and his pants are the standard.

Personality: His alcoholism is already kicked him in the ass by now and he is seriously suffering. His sister left and nearly killed him and he’s become obsessed with sending his officers out to find her. He really has a difficult time getting through the day without a quick drink. He still works hard, just has become a little bit worse at it because, you know, intoxication. He hasn’t and won’t let it affect his work (he says that now). He’s a broken man who has no idea how to piece himself together again.

Mythri: Around 27 in appearance

Appearance: Half her head is shaved and her black, long hair has been cut extremely short in an edgy way. She has a scar on the side of her head and that’s why she shaved it, she likes to show it off. She lost her right leg and it’s been replaced with a metal one (that she constantly scratches henna designs into). Her uniform is hooded now, taking the suggestion form Juno and it’s very flowing and shows off a lot of her skin. She has no shoes, but gold bands on the top of her feet. She also has the bands on her hands. Also got her septum pierced.

Personality: She is a little bit more of an open book. Managed to stay with one person, though she still is skittish with relationships. She still runs off when things seem to get too serious. Her mood is definitely more high strung and stressed out with all the disappearances and infections. Being infected has become one of her biggest phobias and it drives her to keep fighting. She has reconciled things with her parents because Rei bitched her out in a panic attack. Mythri seems more at peace from fixing things, she visits constantly and always sends money to them. She is traveling more and gaining more information on Rei for Nami and for the S.S on the Infected.

Sorina: Around 32 in appearance

Appearance: she has the look of a woman who has lost too much and endured her fair share. She has fully welded her glove to her from her fear of losing it and all her memories. She has it connected to the back of her head, she’s wired up to it permanently and has no idea what will happen if it is disconnected. Her uniform is outfitted with tech now and it all enhances her abilities. Her hair is still big and still crazy because that’s a part of her that she can’t ever lose. One of her eyes has changed color to a steely, cold  grey as a result of her marriage to technology and she no longer needs her glasses for that eye. Personality: By now she’s had her miscarriage and deleted the shit out of that memory, so she has no idea why she feels so empty inside and no one wants to tell her. She is still crazy smart and she and Liz created a co-op lab where the smarties and the inventors work together and holy shit they're making crazy mad medical, technological, and warfare advances. She’s extra proud of that. She is crazy romantic and wants a relationship but more oft than not she turns her nose up because no one matches her intelligence. She doesn’t mean it in a rude way, she just finds intelligence the sexiest thing EVER.

Fun facts about my OCs

Scars  

Juno: She has scars over her eyes because she went blind due to a chemical accident. The skin is just slightly more red than the rest and is a bit tougher. The scars on her back. There's diagonal slashes that cut deep and would've hit her spine had they been like a few centimeters deeper. The nerves on her back are pretty much dead from that. Scar on her jawline. From a fight with her brother when she was in her youth and really, really stupid.

Rei: the scar on her scalp is from the car accident. Her hair covers it, can't grow back in that area, but her hair is thick enough to where it covers it pretty well. The scar on her tricep reaches from her elbow to her armpit. That's from college. She was riding her bike drunk and put her arms up to be an idiot and yelled at the top of her lungs before she fell over and her bike was on top of her, slicing straight through her arm. Scar on her foot from when she was drunk again, in her bakery (the part she's expanding), and stepped right onto a sharp object from the expansion.

Liz: a scar on her upper lip from when she got her new lab. She opened the door too quickly and nailed herself in the lip. She has burn marks on her back from a chemical experiment (same one that blinded Juno). A large scar on her forearm from personal reasons. Part of her ear is missing, the earlobe, and that's from her cat. 

James: scars on the center of both his hands from his human life when he got knives through both his hands. Large, deep scar on his neck from his human life when he was murdered. Usually keeps it covered with a turtle neck or a scarf when he's in public. Pretty self conscious about it. Scars under his eye, chin, eyebrow, and his forehead from fights. 

Nami: she has a scar on her right shoulder blade that runs down to the back of her calf. It's a massive scar, one she got from the car accident.  A scar on her knuckles from her first fight with a squadmate. Other guy looked worse. Scar over her nose from being punched a fart load of times. 

Sorina: scar on her right arm at where the "glove" and her arm meet. Pretty much from welding it to her skin. Scar on her stomach from an emergency c-section. Deleted that memory, so she can't remember why she has it. 

Mythri: scar on the back of her neck from when she first joined the SS. Got it from a run in with an eleventh divisioner. Scar over her ribs. Personal, doesn't tell anyone about it. Scar on her inner thigh from falling and landing on a specifically sharp rock. Words scarred onto her lower back, saying "untouchable". 

Hadley: scar over her middle finger from an accident she caused. Simple stitches. Scar along her spinal cord from her human life and when she died.
