Yes, I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time now!! I’m so excited to see Alex Monik’s art for this one as well because her art is the closest to the OG show’s style that I’ve ever seen, and she did such a phenomenal job with Mystery of Penquan Island. One thing I love in particular is how much Alex’s Kya looks like Aang (the parent she takes after the most personality-wise IMO) just based on the cover alone. I also really hope that they’ll at least show her being openly attracted to women, even if she doesn’t have a gf.

Kyoshi had an air nomad mother.

Gyatso had heavily implied feelings for malaya.

In the comics when kya was explaining the nations views on lgbtq+ to korrasami, we see 2 gay air nomads pre sozin comet in love.

Air nomads did engage in love and marriage just because it wasn't as common as the other nations doesn't mean anything. Aang getting with katara is no different than what other pre sozin comet air nomads were doing.

Also gyatso has a biological sister he knew and grew up with. His parents were together at least long enough to have not one but 2 kids. Just cause air nomads have different family structures doesn't mean that they had no family structure or love in their community.
