Do you reckon there's an AU where Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi become self aware and start getting existential that they're voiced by the same guy, and they go on a road trip to find answers?
do you reckon that's a thing, because I really wanna know.
What's that? You want to hear my thoughts on Matusz going to the bullpen in Norfolk? Well okay then:
To me it looks like he short arms on his fastball too much. He seems to stick with his normal delivery for his other pitches. It looks like he tries to muscle up on the fastball and hope he hits the right spot instead of pitching with confidence and maintaining the fluid motion he has shown in the past.
This year he's given up a .352 Avg on his fastball. When he was at his best in 2010, he only gave up a .235 Avg on his fastball.
His two seam fastball that season was awful which he is why he stopped throwing it. This year he started throwing a cutter which wasn't much better, he gave up a .351 Avg with it. He's been successful with his slider though, which he used more this season than in the past. And that pitch should continue to be tough on left handed batters.
He's been horrid against right handed batters this season. They are slugging .570 against him. When he was at his best in 2010, they only slugged .424 against him. So if he has any value to this year's team it would be as a left handed specialist. Left handed batters are only hitting .172 off him this season and only .220 for his career.
