Was thinking about watching  HBO's Chernobyl (on of the reasons being the fact that Pripyat is actually our own Vilnius. One of its microdistricts, to be exact), so I decided to watch some videos with excerpts from the show.

And my oh my. Now I get why it’s praised by critics and viewers. Everything looks so real, I just... Wow. I know it may seem a bit too far away (in terms of distance and years), but for someone, who lives in a country which was very heavily affected by it ... It hits hard. Too hard.

That’s why I decided to resist the temptation. I’m still very curious about it and I know it’s an amazing show, but it’s just too much for me, a highly sensitive person.

he's averse at first. what does the cook know. the scent of spices and handmade dye rather clearly makes its way to his nose from the opposite direction and he's confident that one or the other thing had been on a crew mate's wishlist for the day. something something art project. tea, for sure. ... possibly perfume—but he's trying his damn hardest to forget about that one and he's hoping that his pushy companion will too. be that as it may, even while being dragged off the scene, his gaze remains firmly set on an imaginary goal in the distance.
