Looking for my forever family... I am Slick, I am a big boy(65 pounds last time we checked), and I love to play. When I am done playing I just want to relax in my bed and watch my foster parents play video games or enjoy the show they are watching. I had a pretty rough start to this being cared for thing, first someone doused me in motor oil, then I got a skin infection and allergies. Now my hair is all back and I only have to take Benadryl every now and then when I am itchy. I love water and running(I can regularly do 5-6 miles easy). I shall be posting new pictures and collages of this puppy until she is adopted! Today we went for a walk and even though other dogs were yipping at her she was easy to correct and get back on focus. She would make someone an excellent companion and be the motivation you need to make your step goal. She has graduated from having to be held on the leash to keep her from chasing the cats to just having to wear the leash as a precaution. She also played for a while with my other big dog. She is coming so far from the stressed out pup we picked up. She got to play with the Monster(my 8 y.o. Son)... she did really well with him. And even better with him today. If you know anyone who needs a little extra happiness in their life, tell them about Maya. She may be big, but that doesn’t mean she needs tons of space. She could be your new exercise motivation. And she likes to watch tv too!! This is Maya my foster pup. She is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Pit Bull mix. She had a home lined up, but the distance cause the human to fall through. Maya loves to cuddle and play fetch. She listens to simple commands(sit, lay down, bed, outside). She is house broken and crate trained. Maya is awesome on a leash, I have a video which shows my 100 lbs friend(Maya is 60 lbs) walking her with no problems. She has not been food aggressive in any way. She would do best as an only pet, though she does get along with my dogs well, she absolutely does not understand that cats are friends.
