I accidentally deleted Tumblr app along with a few others off my phone a couple of days ago and I couldn't for the life of me remember my login email because it's an old one that I don't even use anymore. I'm starting to think that I would have to completely make a whole new account. Then all of a sudden I'm sitting here at the 4th of July BBQ, eating some rib, running my mouth to people, and the email and password just come back into my mind.

sorry i have been so inactive lately!

I lost my email to my account when i got a new phone and i couldnt get into my old phone (it being broken beond repair) to get my email from my tumblr. i had to make a new tumblr  and i was very sad ut i was messing arround with email cominations of my deadname and my housde muber and i finnaly got in so i am back!

What about Tumblr Support? I don’t work for Tumblr, but @support seems to follow two approaches for email account problems. First, if you’ve lost access to Tumblr and the email address tied to your account, try to regain access to the email account. If you can't, you may be out of luck. You might contact Support about lost email access, but know that Tumblr may not help you regain your blog account. Tumblr Help states: “…we unfortunately don’t have a way to verify that you’re the owner, and we don’t give out login information to anyone besides the owner.” 

Second, if you have a dormant blog to delete and you cannot find or access the email address for it, Tumblr @support​ might be able to delete that blog for you. Contact support and provide the details requested. Then wait for Tumblr to work through its security protocols.
