Hope your day/night is going well
May I ask for someee hurt/comfort with Sky?? I feel like we don’t get that a lot lmaoo
Can be in bullet points too! Feel free to do anything lolz
Absolutely! I'll do a bulletpoint fic because I love them.
Pairing: Sky x stubborn! magic weilding! reader
Summary: Sky has been missing for two weeks now, at the whims of the shadow and the dark forces the shadow employs. You don't like that, so at the first opportunity to get him back, you do.
Warnings: Canon typical blood and violence, psychological torture (forced to live through dreams as torture - mostly off-screen), cursing
Other: if I missed anything let me know
The day before disaster is unassuming, you and Sky spend it walking with the others. You hold hands, of course, and after camp is made and dinner is had Sky kisses you goodnight sweetly before he starts his watch.
Sky gets taken captive by the shadow in the middle of the night while on watch. He had no chance to call out because he was gone in less than a second — brought through the shadows.
When he doesn't wake Wind for second watch, no one notices until Legend wakes up around halfway through what should be second watch and finds no ome awake and Sky missing without a trace — the master sword thrown to the dirt.
Of course, Legend raises hell, waking everyone up. He's loud and angry and sharp — and no one can even fault him because there is nothing to make any answers appear.
Or... nothing to make answers appear until you use your magic to reach out for Sky — finding his magic signature faint and surrounded by shadow magic only one being has.
So you tell everyone the news, camp is packed up while Wild starts a quick emergency breakfast and someone starts coffee.
You sit with Time and Warriors despite their hesitancy, refusing to be dismissed as you help them run through ideas on how to handle this. You can tell they're angry, but you're all upset and anger is a safe emotion to feel in the face of danger or fear.
But they don't want you planning because they think you're compromised. Maybe you are but you're also the most versed in magic so they can't actually ask you to leave the conversation either.
After you eat and finish reading to move, candles and lanterns and any other light sources readied, since it's still dark, you are left with who will carry the master sword.
Legend and Time pass, neither particularly excited about the prospect. Wind also passes, Wild doesn't feel like explaining how the sword runs out of energy for him sometimes. Hyrule also passes.
In the end, you just roll your eyes and grab the scabbard, strapping it to your back while your own sword sits on your hip. You don't have time for this.
So you all start walking, camp wasn't safe anyway.
You find a town after sunrise and start asking about weird happenings.
No one knows anything. This becomes the pattern for the next two weeks across several towns and several eras.
There are plenty of monster encounters and you're all left looking for what seems to be a ghost.
Every instance you can't find Sky — can't find your lover — leaves a bad taste in your mouth. He's not dead, he isn't allowed to be, and so you have to find him!
You refuse to leave him behind.
Meanwhile, Sky is having a terrible time. He's asleep in forced dream scenarios most of the time, forced to watch helpless as people he loves are tormented, hunted, and killed. Nothing he sees in his dreams is good — the worst things are when he is forced to be the one hurting people
He has a few nightmares where he is forced to be the one hurting you — and his dreamselff doesn't care, but he does. Your voice haunts him.
When he's awake he's kept alive but only barely. Taunted as he's told of the as the group faces.
The shadow delights in musing all the ways that the others can be hurt — especially you.
The shadow fixates on pondering how to harm you — how to break you in front of Sky.
Needless to say Sky is having a Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad time. He rates it -10/10 and wants a refund in the form of revenge.
Unfortunately he's kept captive and without any tools, magic making a barrier he can't pass. So he is stuck.
Back to reader and chain though.
Two weeks pass, and you are becoming more upset and worried each day. Every time you track sky you are left without even a trace of an idea where he is!
Finally in some era and place no one knows you are able to track sky — half a days walk away according to your magic and Time's help.
So you of course start walking except Time and Wars stop you.
Anyway Wars and Time say you need to take time to make sure you're ready and to plan before you go in swords swinging.
So, begrudgingly, Warriors, Wind, and Four go ahead with you leading them so you can scout out where Sky's being held.
Unfounded for Warriors, Wind, and Four you see an opening in the gaurd rotation an hour into scouting and you take off to go get Sky.
So, now you're making your way through the base or whatever to find Sky, slaying any monsters in your way with your sword.
Oh and Wars, Wind, and Four are left to follow you. Yat!
Anyway you make it through until the shadow realizes you're here and then you find yourself absolutely swarmed with monsters — but in your anger you just set them all on fire. Yay fireball!
Rip Warriors eyebrows though. They're singed right off. Sorry Wars:(
So you finally find the Shadow, and Sky, and you're irate. Sky is passed out in chains amd the shadow just waves at you.
So obvious you grab the master sword, ignoring the way it burns your hands because you aren't a Hero of Hylia or whatever, and stab right through the shadow's stomach in a fit of magic enhanced speed.
Shadow screams ad teapots away — not dead but no longer a problem.
You put Fi back in the sheath.
Warriors comes in and then he starts asking questions-
You are no help. You're focusing on Sky.
Warriors carries Sky as ypu go back to camp.
You definitely get yelled at, and then your wounds get repeated and they ask why you used the master sword
You set Fi in her sheath besids Sky, where he can get to her.
A day passes at camp and Sky finally wakes up.
You smile at him, amd ask if he's hungry
He eats a little hit of jerky just for protein.
You and Sky sit together all day, your hands in his hair as you reassure and praise him
He didn't do anything wrong
When he asks about your burnt hands he panics. Why would you weild Fi?! How dare she hurt you?!
You just smile and kiss his forehead and tell him you're fine and the shadow is gone for now because of Fi.
Sky will be talking to Fi layer.
He thanks you for saving him and asks you to let him hold you that night
Sky holds you like you're going to dissapear on him — but he is so sweet as he tells you he loves you and he's glad you're safe
