To think that Salem started out in the Bendy fandom as a version of Joey Drew, and has become his own unique, individual character to be used with any fandom or any story. He even has his own story and world lore being made. The amount of love he's received over the years is incredible; so many people have been so supportive and kind towards him. He's my strongest and best oc that I'm so glad I kept going for this long. I've made so many connections thanks to him. And for that, he will always have a home in my heart.
Happy birthday, bud. Never stop making people smile ❤️
And thank you, all of you. You helped make him who he is today, and that means the world to me
I've come up with some sona lore regarding Lament and the realm of the Void
As I mentioned in the pinned post, the Void is a layered reality- its own space between spaces. There are four layers that I've come up with so far and will list them as follows:
Layers of the Void realm
Composed of darkness, dark matter, and shadow, it is a quiet and vast plane where Lament is the overseer/ruler. It is a cold place, no sun or complete warmth, with very few stars to light up the skies. The landscape is made of a fine, sparkling black sand (similarly colored to labradorite), speckled with leafless dark trees and pools of clear fluid that reflect the stars and trap their light for consumption. Those whose souls are claimed by Lament are turned into Shades- silhouettes of wispy shadow that wander the barren landscape as her subjects.
Void: Uppermost layer of the Void
Abyss: Second Layer of the Void
Not as dark in visual appearances, composed of jagged rocky landscapes of obsidian and bedrock. Souls that die within the Abyss are turned into mindless beasts filled with an endless rage and need to hunt. Dark deities linger in the void, ancient and forgotten by humans that long to regain the strengths they once held. Their voices whisper in the backs of minds, trying to ensnare anyone who is lured by temptation.
Mania: Third Layer of the Void
Thick, dense trees cover the ground of this layer. The landscape is battered by frigid and biting winds, making the branches rattle like bones and the leaves chatter like whispers. Any soul unfortunate to end up in Mania is forced to walk through endless woods in spirals, unable to find any end or exit to their plight. No animals or prey exist in the layer, causing starvation and intense dehydration. The victims quickly lose their sanity and what remained of their minds, either muttering to themselves or biting on what's left of their flesh. They become Husks, walking figures of madness that crave any kind of sustenance and will even try to kill other Husks for food.
Null: Deepest Layer of the Void
In Null, there is Nothing. No land. No sky. No gods. It is a plane of non-existence, the pit of a black hole. If anyone is able to reach this layer of the Void, they would be aware of their body and mind being torn apart into atoms before blinking away into nothing. Only their consciousness would remain, if they are strong enough. They become one with the fabric of Everything and Nothing. They exist and they do not. To the deities and gods, this is considered Hell. To not just be forgotten, but to be gone entirely...no one to know of you or even be mentioned in history. Erasure is worse than death.
I decided to put together a proper ref post for my persona, along with some new lore! Feel free to ask any questions about it!

Lament is the queen of darkness and ruler of the realm known as “The Void”. The Void is a dimension between realities- like the space between a dresser and the wall. It is the unknown, the nightmares under the bed, the dark matter in the universe. Anyone or anything that gets trapped in the Void is immediately turned into prey by Lament.
The Void is a layered reality- much like Dante's inferno. The surface layer is where Lament rules, a layer of pitch black darkness where unfortunate, wandering souls are devoured by her. Not even light can escape Lament's reach.
Lament watches over the earth like a lion stalking its next meal. Humans are as intriguing as they are fun to toy with. Their minds can be so resilient, and yet can break like fine china teacups when nudged in the right direction. However, she can only interact physically with them when the veil between realities is lifted via spells, summons, or dreams
The queen knows of an eldritch deity that sometimes visits the Void, called by Nyxophoros. They provide Lament with company and stories of their time on Earth among the human cults that worship them. This made Lament curious, and she sought to create her own following of Void worshippers to gain more strength.
Eventually, Nyx told Lament about being in the human world, and found a human they had accumulated feelings towards. Thus, Nyxophoros donned a mortal disguise to pursue a courtship. This gave Lament an idea: to thrive, she needed to adapt. And that meant condensing into a more… human appearance. Using the ability to travel through dreams, she entered the human realm and shifted into a smaller, less threatening form.
Her smaller form took on the name of “Lua”. She did her best to appear normal to the human eye, with one or two hiccups: she doesn’t have 5 fingers, only 4. While her skin seems normal to everyone else, only those with magic or special ESP can see her pitch black skin. Her eyes are pupilless and softly glow white, but appear hazel to humans. Neither Lua nor Lament possesses red blood. Instead, her blood is bright white and luminous, as it is pure light.
After spending time on earth, she has grown a close attachment to cats rather than people. She craves sweets such as ice cream and chocolate, loves soft plushies and blankets, and tolerates the human that Nyx, now Len, has attached themselves to.

👀 idk if I can come up with 15 more things, so I'll do a collective five more lmao @thegoodomensfans @harestrax <3
1) Music! Music always makes me smile, especially singing along to it. There's nothing better than jamming in the car on the way to work or laying in the backyard and chilling to various playlists ^w^
2) Warm bread! You just can't beat a piece of fresh, warm bread with a slab of melted butter on it. The crunch of the crust, the soft tear that follows, all of it fresh and fragrant as it warms you up inside. Even better when it's ✨garlic bread✨
3) Gardening! My mom and I have a few pots with herbs and fresh greens growing in our yard, along with plenty of flowers and flower bushes. Every year we plant new bulbs, weed the garden, and harvest what grows at the end of the season. It's so beautiful when the flowers blossom, especially the roses and hydrangeas. It makes me happy when I can help her take care of them and watch them flourish
4) Walking in the park! There's a bike/walking path park near my house that I go to when it's not too hot or too chilly outside. It wraps in a huge loop, surrounded by woods on both the outside and inside. There's less trodden deer path that actually winds through the woods, and when I walk through it I can't help but feel giddy. It's whimsical, like I'm stepping into the territory of the fey or imagining there's something hidden waiting in the center for me to find
5) Reading in bed! Whether it's AO3 fanfic or a novel from my shelf, I love snuggling up under my blankets with a good book. Sometimes I'll make a cup of decaf tea or cocoa to sip and really get into a relaxed mood. It's one of the best ways to wind down after a long day 😌
