I might judge you a bit if you’re harsh towards Daniel when he’s literally a kid. It def shows u never been around or taken care of a kid before.
Ik ppl also bring out the argument that Sean’s also a kid and doesnt deserve to be "annoyed" by daniel !! He is a kid is also trying his best to guide his littlest brother cuz thats the situation asked for and he’s da big bro. It’s not the best situation ever cuz they both lost their dad but sean has the responsibility now being the bigger person.

The Cassidy and Finn age discourse is hilariously to me cuz Im pretty sure they’re in their teens cuz captain spirit game literally referenced them as “freight hopper teens” from an email of Chris’s dad’s work
Why do ppl like pitting lis1 and lis2 against each other when they’re both such relevant coming of age stories that cover real struggles of growing up? The same game that talks about teen suicide, drug abuse, grooming, and gun violence at school will also talk about youth homelessness, racism, and juvenile injustice.
Idk but u gotta be at least knowledgeable of the 2016 US political climate to understand why the racism in the game is justifiably in your face. This is the height of trump admin’s anti-immigration sentiments where he’s constantly “build the wall!” when he’s on TV. That’s his whole schtick and what he campaigned during his elections. Having such a political figure like that can foster racist ppl to take the opportunity to be outwardly racist in public and feel comfortable w it. Imma compare this to the Anti-Asian hate crimes in the US during COVID where the president wont shut up about blaming China. This type of hostility again from a political figure again can foster hate crimes. Asian Americans were targeted in public (esp da elderly population) like being punched or hit at the streets in broad daylight. Yes, this shit aint exaggerated.
Dontnod has extreme balls of releasing a game that covers such political topics like this at that time. Yes, it’s not perfect cuz they’re a bunch of french white dudes and their depictions might be out of touch of reality. Still, thats a lot of balls to write about a topic.
I understand why fans of first game didn’t like second game because again dontnod has extreme balls of departing from the murder mystery small town vibe of the first game that is so loved. Still, I believe that lis2 have the elements of what made og life is strange good (read above)
My pet theory is I’d like to think that dontnod DELIBERATELY CHOOSE LYLA to be south korean for sean’s bff cuz the countries mexico and south korea historically get along diplomatic. Mexico and South Korea fans are rlly bonding sm during these world cup games. And way back in 2018 world cup, theres a clip that went viral of mexican fans going to the korean embassy in mexico to celebrate south korean’s win against germany
LIS2 reminds me a lot of beyond two souls especially when Sean is walking to the desert and it's like Jodie walking though the desert. The devs confirmed that they indeed took inspo of from beyond two souls!! I recommend this game cuz it also has a sibling dynamic w/ supernatural powers involved!
