This is a clipping from the Los Angeles Sentinel, an African American newspaper founded in 1934 by Col. Leon H. Washington. Look at the violent response this man had to an African American family moving into the neighborhood in Lynwood. Documenting #SELAhistory also means discussing racism in the Southeast.
