I finally was able to romance both Arthur and Lyon. Woooooooow. I'm really happy about it. lyon took me a bit longer to romance with, but it was worth it.
the last steam achievement i need for warframe is to do the million meters on a k-drive. i'm close to halfway already so i'm thinking about just head empty riding around to finish it off.
i am also having to muffle the evil voice in my head telling me to have lyon do it

Roathe nearly pissed himself laughing, looking to Lyon like he had truly grown a second head.
"You want me to tell her, in order to heal, she needs to get into the refractory?" Roathe shook his head. "You want me to lie to her? On our behalf? How far you have fallen, Lyon."
"It is not a lie." Lyon would step to one side to allow Drifter to speak. They shook thier head, looking to Roathe.
"The concern can't come from us, Roathe. She seems to trust you more than us right now. " Drifter made a point of gesturing to themself and Lyon, then to Roathe. "If she can't listen to a preist and a stranger, maybe she can listen to the Devil."
"And what, precisely, can you offer me for betraying that trust she has in me? Eithne is not so easily convinced that any concern for her well-being is entirely…. Sacrosanct. She would have been brilliant, if she were born Orokin." Roathe began to bargain, to use what he had with her for his own gain.. Because, of course, the devil will always ask for something in return.
Drifter paused, looking to Lyon. Lyon, for all that it was worth, made an offer.
"Perhaps, we may learn more from you, Roathe, in how better to treat those who actively scourn the faith—"
Roathe laughed, shaking his head. " I am not giving you lessons—"
"Non, I would not ask you to consider lecture," Lyon corrected quite quickly, before taking off his mitre. "But we cannot forsake the world, believing ourselves of it but not apart as we have. Marie will, in her own time, learn this." Lyon paused, as Drifter's eyes went wide. "I am asking, Roathe, if my torment, my secrets, my pains, would be enough for you to speak to Eithne."
Roathe paused, tilting his head. For a moment, he genuinely considered it. The secrets, new things to torment Lyon with. Ways to get into Lyon's head, ways to perhaps make the priest more malleable to Roathe's own impulses.
"You offer me you own memory?" Roathe barely let the words pass his tongue. "You truly are desperate to help her."
"Oui."
"Bah! That is too steep a price, even for you, Lyon. All I will ask is a single new memory. A drinking game, between two men who have nothing to hide between one another. Not even their bodies." Roathe shook his head, stating his need for new material. Something that kept them both in the present, even if humiliated.
It was a mercy for them both. Lyon nodded.
"If that is your price, then that is what you shall have." Lyon watched Drifer's shoulders sag, their relief prominent after such a tense exchange. "When?"
"After I convince her, if I can." Roathe stood, his tail swaying slightly. He brushed himself off, his hands shaking slightly. He managed it, managed to get Lyon to admit he wasn't above it all. That was a colossal victory. No true piety here.
Roathe strode across the church, quiet, his gaze following the cracks in the stone up to the Sanctuary.
He knocked. Eithne answered.
"Eithne," He began as he looked her over. She looked exhausted, her hair disheveled, her eyes glistening with fresh tears.
"What do you want, Devil?" Eithne asked, standing straighter, looking Roathe right in the eye.
The pit in Roathe's stomach felt more like a grand chasm, as he spoke the only phrase that would ensure that Eithne complied with, what he suddenly found himself hoping to be, a way to ease whatever pains had caused her to become so hostile.
"It's time we made good on our deal, Eithne. You survived the serum. Now there is something that cannot survive without you." The lie felt bitter.
"And what would that be?" Eithne sighed, crossing her arms. Roathe watched as her foot tapped against the stone.
"Your memories. The serum has a bitter after-effect, and without treatment soon, you may lose many precious memories. Albrecht thought of this, and created the Dark Refractory. Drifter has already agreed, with my supervision, to assist you." Roathe proceeded, reaching to take Eithne's hand.
"Of course, another catch, another bitter —" Eithne scoffed, shaking her head. She unfolded her arms, "And how many am I doomed to forget if they don't help?"
"You'll loose the most emotionally charged first, which is where they must begin." Roathe gently took her hand in his, the claws barely tapping the surface of her skin. "Take this not as a deal being completed, but… As one heathen to another, I would truly hate to lose such a fresh perspective that humbles the sycophants so."
Eithne let out a bitter laugh. "So yer keepin' me for my foul mouth and a reminder everyone is involved with the world? Such brutal honesty fer you, devilish bastard." Eithne sighed, nodding as she squeezed Roathe's hand. "But alrigh'. Just warn 'em that I'm not exactly a happy story."
"Neither am I, and they have managed to turn that pain into understanding." Roathe reassured a smile dawning across his face.
Eithne shook her head. "Only what is required to preserve the memory, nothing more. I don't need someone else's fingerprints on my mind." She insisted, staying put despite Roathe trying to guide her down to the Sanctum. "Not again."
Roathe froze. His breath stuttered for just a moment.
"Apologies, witchling, I… assure that there will be no evidence of them ever being in your memory, if that is truly what you desire." Roathe lied.

Marie, was sent to check on Eithne. Roathe would only pick at the open, pussing wounds, and Lyon felt that he owed Drifter some explanation. Especially considering, well.. They had been romantically involved, and he had failed to update them when Eithne had arrived and settled.
They sat in the quiet, together. Lyon could hardly look at Drifter as they took a few moments to regain their composure. Admittedly, panic attack in the middle of a church was not on their bingo sheet, but you know, that's just life. Juuuust their luck that the damn would break because someone saw them well before they were ready to be seen, read to filth, and told them it was OK to be as broken as they felt.
Drifter's shoulders finally dropped, and they looked at Lyon. Their eyes were still red, and they hiccuped.
"You said only a month?" They had to check. "Has she been that sharp since she arrived?"
"Oui, mon miracle, I am sorry-"
"Don't be." They cut Lyon off. "Don't be sorry. I wouldn't want to tell someone I took in something I could barely understand either." It was a quick dismissal, an easy categorization and boxing in of Eithne as someone Drifter didn't understand. It was unusual for them. Unusual in that they had always attempted to bridge any gaps before making judgements. "Lyon.. Has she told you anything about herself? Anything like where she lived or who she was before the injection?"
Lyon paused, looking at Drifter. He saw how they were fidgeting with their hands, picking at their nails, pulling at their fingers.
"Non, we have made no such progress with her." Lyon hesitated, before gently taking Drifter's hand. "All we have learned is that she is also a survivor of some distant war, one that has left her distrusting of the Luminaries devoted."
"Some distant war.." It felt like a curse. Drifter looked up, at to Lyon. "Like Roathe, like the kid… Do you think she would benefit-?"
"Oui," Lyon nodded, looking up at Drifter's face. "It may be of great benefit to her to see what memories precisely trouble her."
"How do we get her into the Refractory?" Drifter asked the obvious question, finally looking up at Lyon.
Lyon paused, squeezing their hand. Now that would be the challenge. Eithne did not trust Drifter, and did not know the Operator either. But she did know him, and Marie, and Roathe. And Roathe, arguably, had more leverage, especially considering he was not of their same cloth.
Lyon shuddered at the though.
"We ask the Devil for a deal. And pray to the Luminaries for their forgiveness."
Drifter looked down and away.
"Do you love her?" They hadn't meant to ask it— they hadn't meant to imply they had even noticed. Despite the fighting, Lyon actually spoke to her as if she was an equal, or someone he could save from themself. How she had asked his forgiveness in spite of her anger.
How ashamed she had looked to have even raised her voice to him.
Lyon felt his face burn hot, and he looked back down at Drifter's hand in his.
"Does a shepherd not love his flock—"
"It's more than that." Drifter stopped him before he could finish. "She looked like she had hurt the lamb after all of that. I know there's more to it than that."
Lyon froze. The voices in his mind echoed louder. How could he? How could he have betrayed them so? How could he lie with both the world and the stars? It was a sin spoken of - the vice of lust-
"Mon miracle-"
"Don't." Drifter squeezed his hand. "Don't do that.. Not now."
"Would you have me lie?"
"No."
"I love her like Lua loves Terra, the push and pull… She is… a mirror. A mortal reflection of a soul meant for eternity." Lyon spoke softly. "That does not mean I do not love you, I do." His eye watered as he searched Drifter's face. "I did not mean to conceal such an agonie from you.. I did not intend on being pulled to her."
"So…What do we do know?" Drifter asked, blinking as their eyes stung.
"I ask your forgiveness.." Lyon moved to kneel in front of Drifter, lifting his free hand to brush away their tears. "I beg, if you so desire. The rest… Is your choice, mon miracle. I know I have transgressed."
He bowed his head, waiting for their words, for their judgement. Drifter's breath hitched, and they shook their head.
"just… tell me the truth," Drifter swallowed hard, their mouth dry as their heart sank into their stomach. "Did you ever tell her you loved her?"
"Non." Lyon shook his head. "It was, impossible même pour les Luminaries, to even begin such a conversation with her."
Drifter blinked, their tears drying some as a shaky laugh came from them. "Wait, wait wait wait— You never told her? She doesn't know? Lyon… Oh my god…" Drifter scrubbed their face with a laugh, their shoulders dropping.
"Pardon?" Lyon blinked, looking up at Drifter's face.
"You had me thinking, from how you described everything, that you two had started dating!" Drifter laughed a bit. "Sweet merciful stars, I thought you had cheated from how— nevermind, darling you are more than forgiven." Drifter pulled Lyon in close, kissing his forehead.
"Oui, we.. Did have a physical encounter-" Lyon stopped talking when Drifter kissed his forehead. The voices quieted, the sense of guilt and shame melting away.
"She healed you, treated you like a phycisian treats their patients.." Drifter laughed, wholly relieved. Lyon paused, before chuckling, realizing his mistake.
"Oui, mon miracle," His voice was a low rumble. "Appears I erred in my recollection."
"Yeah you did… But you always meant to tell me, too. To ask?" Drifter presented the far less scary question.
"Indeed, it would not be right to keep such a thing a secret from you, bien-aimé." Lyon affirmed. Drifter took his face in their hands. They leaned down, and kissed him on the lips.
He melted. Those kisses always brought down his defenses, quieting his mind until it was entirely his own again. When they parted, Drifter nodded.
"Be happy, then mon amor," Lyon's eye widened, and a huge, genuine smile crossed his face as Drifter spoke. "I'm happy to share. Just tell me if it ever becomes… Er, how would one phrase it? Scandalous? I don't want Roathe teasing me about being cucked."
Lyon laughed, shaking his head. "Non! No such nonsense from him, I assure, there will be more discretion." He paused, and Drifter sighed. "But first, our task at hand is great, and there is a great favor we may owe the Devil."
"Right… Getting Eithne into the Refractory." Drifter nodded. Their expression shifted, trying to think, trying to concoct some way.
