" Hey Link!" Zelda calls out, she knew they'd find him here most likely their favorite sky island to be together alone on where they can talk for hours without being interrupted. Landing Akash upon the island she gets off and sits down next to him. " What are you dreaming about now? " she loves to hear about them Zelda just sit besides him and listen for hours endlessly just listening to Link talking about their dream, he's such a dreamer and it's one of many of her favorite things about him.

Link had been relaxing on his own within the islands of the sky, a particular island that only a few knew and that very few was one princess. With that being said, he heard the very woman his head was lost in the clouds over.

A light blush dusted his cheeks but, he motioned her over till she'd plopped down beside him as he smiled lightly at her. He couldn't believe it sometimes that Zelda had chosen him to talk to and socialize with. After all everyone had called him lazy for his fantasy dreams of another place out there other than Skyloft.

Today, he was going to have to whip a damn good lie because he'd been thinking about finding those things with Zelda together.

"Wondering what else is out there..outside of our home." That wasn't a lie but the other factor wasn't in there.

No Justice, No Peace: Rioting Is A Valid Political Process

This piece is by New York City-based activist Marian Jones, and it's about why rioting works as a political process. – Zoë

Following the May 25 murder of 46-year-old black man George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, protests erupted around the country for over a week. Those demonstrations often escalated into riots after sundown when violent confrontations with the police, looting, mass property damage, and fires begin.

Beyond the emotional catharsis, violent protest serves an important political function. Yet, common wisdom says property destruction lowers popular support for reforms, rioting and setting police cars on fire has no rational purpose and is in fact perpetuating the same violence that killed George Floyd.

Political change, we are told, only happens when we work within the proper political channels, channels that have repeatedly failed to stop the unjust killing of black people by police. These criticisms fail to get deeper into the historical continuity between riots of the past and present.

Conveniently, it also leaves out the fact that rioting and collective acts of violence get results.

No One Is Coming To Save Us

Sports leagues in the United States are continuing to resume operations despite the fact that it is clearly unsafe, but this is just one small locus of the horror that is being wrought across our society by libertarian capitalism.

Every sports league in North America that has tried to resume training and games reported COVID cases among teams and staff: the NWSL, the WNBA, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, the NHL, and the NBA.

While this will eventually subside, we may never be able to tally up the body count that is directly attributable to the resumption of pro sports if the current trends continue. We often intimately know the details of athletes’ health – that’s been normalized.

But if a team staff member carries the virus home to a relative, who then dies, we may never know about it. The fact that sports leagues think it is worth the risk to their employees and their families is a garish example of what capitalism has done to us as a society.

Resuming professional team sports right now, even without fans in attendance, is a choice to make people very sick and a choice to kill someone. It is a choice of pretension and vanity over the well-being of our friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

Wanting sports back is normal – we all want to have things in our life that bring us joy and entertain us, especially right now. But having sports back won’t stop the bodies from piling up around us. Our community members will continue to die. Most of them will die alone.

Sports coming back is a tacit endorsement of those deaths as well as of the system that permitted them. It’s a form of cruelty disguised as a healing balm. Nothing good will come of it whatsoever.

'Star Trek: Discovery' showrunners fired, allegedly for verbal abuse

Showrunners Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts were allegedly abusive toward the writing team.

Star Trek: Discovery showrunners Aaron Harberts and Gretchen Berg are exiting the show halfway through season 2, allegedly for verbally abusing the writing staff.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the showrunners were fired for “operational issues” including abusive behavior. They’ve already filmed the first five episodes of season 2, including a premiere whose budget supposedly “ballooned.” THR cites anonymous sources within the show, claiming that Berg and Harberts “became increasingly abusive to the Discovery writing staff, with Harberts said to have leaned across the writers room table while shouting an expletive at a member of the show’s staff.” Several writers are said to have threatened to quit or report the showrunners to HR.

No One Is Coming To Save Us

Sports leagues in the United States are continuing to resume operations despite the fact that it is clearly unsafe, but this is just one small locus of the horror that is being wrought across our society by libertarian capitalism.

The United States' response to COVID-19 will go down in history as a great and inexplicable failure. Thousands more will die. Any data we receive will be doctored, obfuscated, and underreported. The corpses of human beings, of our friends and family members, will continue to pile up in disused rooms of hospitals, in trucks in the streets, and perhaps eventually in the streets themselves. Our chance to stop this from happening may have long passed.

Federal, local, and state authorities can't provide meals or shelter to vulnerable people in their communities who are unemployed and/or houseless; they can't cancel rent; they can't just give people checks to stay the fuck home. But they can give riot gear to cops. They haven't had any financial difficulty getting the bombs that they drop from drones in the Middle East.

This is not a conspiracy theory, but the result of decades of monstrous and inhumane policies which were let loose into our public, private, and professional lives like sleeper agents. We have a privatized healthcare industry; we have aggressively militarized police forces across the country; we have an entire system of government that was designed to serve white, property-owning men, which is working as intended.

There was a certain amount of stress that these systems could take, and certain amounts of tumult and death and material insecurity and risk that were normalized prior to this. But in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic and the nationwide uprisings against the police have combined with a deeply authoritarian, cynical, hateful ruling party and an embarrassingly ineffective opposition party with very few materially meaningful policy differences to the fascists. No one is coming to save us. There is nothing between us and the bottom.
