thunderstorms are great. he loves them. the air smells clean even in the dank area of the city. he can FEEL the thunder rumbling in his chest when the storm is close enough. he doesn’t need to hear or even see in a storm, taking out his hearing aids and just feeling the storm as it happens around them.
thankfully, though, he’s got his apartment buzzer rigged to a light that flashes at him. frowning, clint glances at the clock. at THIS hour, it’s probably nothing good. taking his throwing knives, he straps the holster to his leg before hitting the elevator. it’s old and small, kind of on the CREEPY side if he’s being honest, but he keeps it in good repair so it runs smoothly and easily. once he reaches the ground floor, clint tucks his hearing aids back into his ears before heading to the door to see just WHO the hell is ringing for him in the middle of a storm at what could easily be considered GOD AWFUL o’clock.
he stops in his tracks when he sees just who it is. his hand moves away from the hilt of the first knife and he moves QUICKLY for the door, unlocking it and pushing it open to gently tug the soaking man inside. “hey, cap... you look like you’ve had better nights... you okay?”
