Love Actually || Cersei and Catelyn
She had intended to get a taxi directly there. With her injuries, she wasn’t quite able to drive, and she had no intent right now of stepping out into the world so freely, not while Petyr was still out there. But then, she remembered being bundled into a car by someone who had been nothing more than a bartender she had seen once, and suddenly a taxi hadn’t seemed such a good idea. Suppose he should be on Petyr’s payroll, and he would drive her away, never to be seen again? No, she couldn’t take a taxi. And so, like a little girl, she had gotten her Uncle to pick her up and drive her to the Baratheons.
She hadn’t seen Cersei since her return home, but she had need for something which her family couldn’t offer. Her family offered reassurance, love, happiness, safety, comfort...Cersei would permit anger and hatred.
Feeling the large bruise on her jaw beginning to twinge, she was glad she had brought painkillers in her bag, and knocked with fervour on the front door with her unsprained wrist. When the door finally opened, Catelyn didn’t wait to be invited in, before walking through the front door and into the hall, heading directly for the kitchen where they often found themselves in any wine based discussions.
Love Actually || Jorjayna and Catelyn
jorjayna-stark
Catelyn generally took the prescribed painkillers with a quick efficiency; she hadn’t needed to take them as often as the doctor had thought, partly because she would rather suffer the pain as a warning reminder, and partly because having six children had made her pain threshold relatively high. Yet, some days were worse than others, and she hadn’t wanted to mither Ned again for them. She winced as the gash on her back brushed against her shirt, and was too distracted with trying to reach the cupboard without further pain to realise Jorjayna had entered the kitchen, until she heard her slippered feet sliding across the floor.
“Jorjayna, would you be a dear and get those painkillers for me?”
Love Actually || Tygett and Catelyn
angriest-lion
This was an odd situation and she sensed the Lannister could feel it as much as she. She stood before the tall, almost menacing man, feeling incredibly tiny before him. She folded her arms, and immediately regretted it for her ribs still hurt and even the slightest touch caused them to twinge. She didn’t know whether Tygett would take note of her bruised jaw, the scratches on her hands, her broken nails, the way she held herself like some wounded animal, and she frankly didn’t care. She wasn’t here to talk chit-chat and comfort.
“I realise my arrival here is unexpected and unusual, but I have a favour to ask. One I don’t relish asking, but nevertheless, I am going to ask it, but if act anything less than honourably in your response, I warn you that understandably I am not in the best of moods”
Love Actually || Rickon and Catelyn
Cateln had asked to go home as soon as all the medical checks had been made. She wasn’t ill, and while the therapist she had been forced to have an hour session with had told her it was only natural to be afraid of people, to fear even her own husband’s touch, to want to keep her distance fro loved ones, Catelyn found she wanted nothing more than to be at home, with her children close to her and Ned’s arms around her. She didn’t fear them, she needed them, all of them, close to her.
She had, at first, found it hard to let go of Ned’s hand, holding it so tightly on the journey home that she feared she had begun to cut off his circulation, and she had only managed to fall asleep in the living room, lay upon Ned, with all six of her children in her line of vision. And thankfully, none of them had seemed eager to leave either.
Now, on her first day home, she had Rickon sat in her lap, his little feet gently knocking her sore knees, as she kept her arms around him and danced the little Woody toy in his lap in an effort to make him laugh. “Perhaps he would make a better dancer than a cowboy...” She joked, trying her best to keep everything light though she knew darkness weighed heavily on the entire household.
