Nostrils flare at the scent of vigorous gills and fins that resided beneath the waters edge. Ears rustle with interest before perking forward, attentive, focusing on the task of retrieving a hearty ‘snack’ of the afternoon. Posture straightens with a pause watching intensively as his jaws part with anticipation. Recollecting the satisfying taste of cod laced with a coating of pure briny he lurches for the catch, the commotion proven too much as his prey barely escapes. He recoils out of the fray, glaring at the coastal surface. 

                  Drats.
