Had an awful POTS episode in the middle of the day today (it was one of those sneaky ones that come on gradually. I was just sitting in a chair working on a lesson plan :( ). I forgot to refill my powerade bottle last night, so layed down behind the timpani for ten minutes, and then hobbled into my mentor's office and asked if she knew if the canteen sold powerade. She went all the way up the hill to get me one from the senior canteen for me, and then asked if I wanted to skip teaching my afternoon lesson and go home. Absolutely amazing and patient mentor.

I told her I'd still teach the class, because usually the recovery and rebound for that kind of episode is usually around 3ish hours, and my class was at 2:30. I made it through the class (lots of things to work on - especially classroom management, of course)! I am now absolutely wrecked, but I would have been anyway, so I'm glad I still took the class because at least I still got my learning experience out of it.

Only one day left of week one, and then I can regroup and recover on the weekend, and figure out if I can actually get all the way through this prac.
